I would just like to say that we are in a different world to I'd say maybe 7/8 other teams at the moment and we can not seriously compete in the transfer window with these teams, I understand PL might have a kitty of 20m to spend throughout the hole of the season + money he makes on sales but the wages are the prime factor. PL is trying to buy hungry young lowish wage players to maybe sell on for a bigger price tag, but I think everybody knows that experience is so important in the premiership and without that any team could get dragged into a dog fight come April/May. Yes we do need fresh young talent and mr PL will hopefully sort it but a few experienced players are a must, so owen as pay as you play deal would be great (he has to produce the goods or no play no pay) we've lost petrov, almadi 1st season here so midfield is looking really young and I think needs an athlete with premiership experience ie do what it takes to get milner bk. Even on loan untill jan if necessary. Almadi, milner, island, carruthers for the centre rolls. I know milner is a long shot but why not try.
But I'm sure PL as got it all under control and it seems there's a real buzz about the place , but it might take a bit of time, so be patient all villa fans. Good times ahead.
Keep the rumours coming boys/girls

Gary Gardner will make it in the midfield better than Ireland and Carruthers

Agree10 Disagree7

Carruthers is a winger and Gardner and Ireland are two different type of players so you can't really compare them

Agree11 Disagree4

I do apologise my friend i simply forgot about gardner, he will be a good player for us but carruthers is so talented i think (hope) PL will use him, and if he does'nt sell Island i believe we might see the best of him at villa park. Clark needs to be playing at the bk if he is going to feature in PL 1st 11, and it all depends who else we get in at the bk

Agree3 Disagree0

Carruthers a winger? are you sure, i think you will find he came to the villa as a winger from arsenal yes, but last season he was playing in centre mid quite a bit in the reserves, its where he wants to play, he is just a talented player, quick feet, lively and loves getting forward, he keeps the ball moving, 2 touch football and wants it bk all the time. class act

Agree4 Disagree2

Just watched burton v villa.. holman had a storming game and young damien johnson in midfield , one to look forward to

Agree6 Disagree0

El Ahmadi is a class act! Really liked the look of him today vs Burton.
EA,Carruthers/Garder/Makoun in centre mid for me.
Carruthers has skill and Gardner has patience - players we need!

Agree3 Disagree0

Good to hear holman and ahmadi had a good game today, early days still as we all know. but as said in earlier post i do believe that we need a good experience midfielder to add to the ranks (milner we could pay half his wage for the season 45thou would it be) maybe owen pay as you play, then we'll have most of the funds available for our new defence, but thats for PL to deal with.

Agree1 Disagree0

When will some of our fans stop talking about Milner coming back on loan ? Hes won the premier league and fa cup since leaving so move on and stop kidding yourselves City would loan him and he'd want to come back !

Agree1 Disagree1

Everyone raves about gardner and carruthers. But I think Daniel Johnson is shadowed out a lot he's consistent and always seems to score when I check on the reserves/u18. Probably not good enough to take the step up just yet but a loan to a league 1/2 team would do him a world of good as would it do carruthers. Fonz also maybe to a champo team, I really rate him but he's gunna turn out like Stefan Moore if he doesnt sort his attitude out. The thing with players in this country is they're branded the next big thing before they've even done anything and all the crap goes to their heads. UTV

Agree3 Disagree1

El Ahmadi looks class act got an eye for a pass curruthers will be great at cm to run at defences with skill and support the forward two still believe we need 1/2 new wingers who can actually cross

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah he has stated he prefers playing on the wing because he likes running down the wing beating players and whipping in crosses. But he can play CM

Agree0 Disagree0

New some would get annoyed and bite about trying to get milner back. ha ha calm down my friend. I never in a million years we ever get him bk, more chance of re signing hesky. joke to the side now, i think most villa fans are happy with whats happening at the moment and PL seems to know a good player (bargain) in AHMADI so be assured there might be a few more

Agree1 Disagree0

Mate,id love nothing more than Milner coming back but it aint happening.Im certain Lambert will add to the midfield soon and lets hope he identifies the next up and coming James Milner for next season.UTV.

Agree1 Disagree1

I am a Norwich fan....as you all know Lambert managed us in the prem for a year and kept us there comfertbly, we only had a couple of players with prem experience, he has a touch of magic when it comes to getting the most out of players, but in turn the players must be willing to preform, he will choose hungry players who give it there all.
You will struggle to get an overpaid established player who is just in it for the money to give it there all.....at Norwich the players were on almost equal wages no animosity between them and they played together for each other, that was plain to see.
Forget your big name signings let the boss do it his way, I know Villa's expectations are higher than ours but I belive lambert will produce the goods in time.....at least you will get some positive attacking football to watch which is better than the drivel you played last year.

Sofiane Feghouli-£9mil & Yacine Brahimi-£3.5mil plus 1 unknown CB will be AVFC only remaining signing, and to be honest i'd be more than happy with that.
To sceptical fans just wait and see, in the meantime checkout their potential on You Tube..this is 75% confimed by a reliable source but only PL knows if this will ever become fact, I hope so

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I would love to see the Valencia man at our club to add skill and endever great player

Agree4 Disagree0

Some people wrote on here last week that brahimi would be in and a week later he still isnt, stop putting so much rubbish, and lets wait till the signings are done.

Agree6 Disagree1

Both look great talent, be awesome if Lambert manages to pull this off, cant see RL throwing that kind of £ around, only my opinion

bRy

Agree3 Disagree0

Just watched Brahimi on youtube....SIGN HIM UP NOW

Agree6 Disagree0

'Some people wrote on here last week that brahimi would be in and a week later he still isnt, stop putting so much rubbish, and lets wait till the signings are done'

er is this not the rumours page? Let us speculate in peace killjoy.

Agree3 Disagree2

So many people spending money like MON! Lerner may not be prepared to lay out £8/£9/£10m on players. He will balance the books, believe me.

Agree2 Disagree0

I hope we get matthew Phillips from blackpool he seems to have more potential than young imo. I would also like ince but I think holloway would be reluctant to let them go. Max gradel from st ettienne can play either side and would also be extremely interested in joining. Although I would be wary of signing another personality like him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed have u heard anything about feghouli I really wana see this guy at villa park next year . And I can't see us signing brahimi as we are being petty over 2mil .we wanna give 2.5 they want 5mil {Ed043's Note - as you know alot of rumours have revolved around the player but no official move has been made but there may be a move later in the transfer window}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed

Fletcher would not make a bit of difference to villa, jst another average player.
