Ambitious, young, quality players would be attracted to the right package, quality bring quality.
Average brings average.
Why settle for anything other that what we should be getting?
Yes we may have to offer a massive pay incentive, yes we may have to pay other the odds, yes we may have to sell a dream. But why not?
Why go for players that their level is below where we aim to be?
We won't get a ronaldo, bale or a messi, but why not a player who has ambitions to be the next ronaldo, bale or messi? Not looking for an end of career payday.

Can see both sides of the argument, would he do a job in the championship, give 110%, be a leader, and better than what we've got? Yes but is he good for the next 3 years, good for the premier league, better than other younger options? No, just depends what Roberto wants, get him in for a season short contract score goals then let him go when it gets to a level where he can no longer compete.

Just isn't good enough! I agree with you Flackie, we need to aim higher never mind acting like an old corner shop, I don't care if we are supposed to act like a championship side and shut up!
