So many on here are very quick to slate a player and want them dropped to the bench. we are not so quick to give credit when its dew. Albert was great yesterday Easley 9/10 for me Hutton much the same they have a great understanding as a partnership. loved the way Tammy kissed his shirt could be put in a bold offer for him in January. I think to boy is as cool as ice has the make-ins to be a top player.

Axel is just getting better by the game he reminds me of when Richards came into the city team big strong and lots of pace felt sorry for lansbury it just won't happen for him, kodija look back to his old self maybe his best game since his injury, we didn't play great but we were very efficient in front of goal, we need to defend better as a team for the blues second hourihane just expected hutton to pick up the runner and left with a simple tap in when our wing back push high up Whelan hasn't got the legs to get out to stop the counter so it's pulling Chester and Adel out wide at times.

It was a great win we have came on leaps and bounds in the space of a month maybe last month we might have lost that game roll on Wednesday night from now till Xmas is going to tell us where we be at the end of the season.

Hi Villatrust, I can't recall anyone on here saying anybody should be dropped after Sundays game.
I think the general consensus was that, although not brilliant we played ok and achieved a great result, it was mentioned that Chester seems a bit below par, but nothing more?

2.) 27 Nov 2018 21:47:01
No villadave I'm not saying anybody has said anything about Sundays game, but it has been said for the majority of the season so far, I just think at times we including myself are very quick to jump on the players back, when maybe at times there confidence is low that all they need is us shouting there names from the roof tops and drive'in they on, our best performance last season was against wolves the crowed were electric crowed were the same on Sunday sometimes that can give the players an extra 10-15%, we won't win every game but we will win more than we lose we have a good squad with a good manager so it's up to us the fans to drive this team forward come match day.

Villatrust

I don't take much notice of players who are seen kissing the badge,
Does not mean they love the club for all time,

Dont shoot, I'll hold my hands up I was one of the (Bruce stays) clan, but now my eyes have been opened
He has to go asap it hasn't worked for him I think football has moved on,
Question is, who do we get in
Problem is, Bruce will here until the international break which means is he gets a win will that changes owners minds just a taught.

I think his days are now numbered, and I feel he knows it - It's gone beyond a joke now, and let's be honest we haven't really played anybody of note! I dread to think what Boro, West Brom, Leeds, Derby, Swansea etc would do to us under Bruce.

He has lost the fans and by the looks of it, the dressing room. I'd like to think we will have a new manager in place come the end of the international break.

2.) 03 Oct 2018 10:34:01
In his post match interview he used the phrase “I will battle on until I’m told otherwise”. Not the words of a manager with the backing of the board or the dressing room. Shouldn’t be a battle should it?

3.) 03 Oct 2018 13:42:40
Most will agree he has to go at this point, but what happened at the end of the game was disgusting and way out of line, SB got us away from the bottom of the table and although he doesn't have it in him to get us up. He deserves some respect from the villa supporters, after all its not like the job is an easy one over the past few years.

4.) 04 Oct 2018 17:19:59
i liked brucey, the main thing his name that should go with his his time at the villa, is that the players re established a positive link with the fans, all around the club, there developed a feel good attitude. shame it never lasts, but that's football looking at previous holders of the job, the likes of o'leary, lambert, di matteo, and that french bloke, that nobody had ever heard of. we have to be careful what and who, we wish for lambert was a popular choice at the time, people loved the way norwich played under him, and expected to see the same plying style brought with him. we all know what happened of course, but on the list of suspects there are names like moyes, pearson mccarthy, allardyce, pardew, some of these possibles have had enough clubs to fill a golf bag! i hope villa don't just play safe, i hope they hire an individual who has a firm idea of how football should be played, many people forget football is part of the entertainment industry. we've not been entertained since taylors time. the board needs to be bold. don't just go with the safe easy way out if they do go for an allardyce type figure we'll be in this division as long as forest have been sorry if i've bored you all, but its what i think from the heart vtid.

Reflecting on last night, our fitness really showed you got tired after the hour mark fitness was alright for Bruce's style but Smith wants high tempo and high press this works if you get a pre season, but Smith isiant getting time on training field with the lads as games are comeing thick and fast so I don't expect to see much of a change in results until after Xmas
Elmo is not a winger he killed Hutton last night,
Personally I would play grealish left wing Albert righ wing.

Great result yesterday, hopefully Tuesday we take more of our chances this squad will blitz this league once our fitness levels picks up and the shackles a let off grelish and the likes, personally I think we are being hard on Albert guys the man's gets through so much work tracking back it's unbelievable, it's a pity the championship is so demanding like Saturday, Tuesday Saturday, Deano isiant getting the time on the training ground with the lads but our fitness will be addressed because of the style of play Deano wants us to play.

Villatrust

1.) 21 Oct 2018 17:16:49
Here we go again, blitz the league, there have been people on this site saying the same thing for years.
What makes you think we will blitz this league, typical of our fans making statements of what we are going to do.
And Grealish, there is only one person who can let the shackles off him and that is Grealish himself.
He has never been shackled.

2.) 22 Oct 2018 15:33:43
The hardest leaque to get out off,
Look at table any team down to 14th place could well be champions!
It really is a merry go round of a leaque,
To easy to say we will blitz the leaque
Even the bluenoses could be in the shakeup?

3.) 22 Oct 2018 19:54:47
What I meant if and when this team clicks its more than good enough, I just think with Deano style of high pressure them squad will be much fitter and sharper, it won't happen over night I feel it will be Xmas before we the see the best of this squad I just hope we stay in touch.

Rite guys a quick question,
I'm from ireland and there is very little villa supporters over here and I'm fed up with the slagging about villa compared to Liverpool and United, so the question is

Where do you guys see villa in 5/ 6 years time with the money the new owners have are money wise even in the same league as city Liverpool United Chelsea and the likes,
Will we be battling mid table, just trying to survive
I remember city were only a mid table team and over night they were transformed into what they are now.

1.) 11 Oct 2018 20:55:06
How much will our owners spend?
Simple question. Answer that and you have the answer.
They bought very cheap so they got a bargain.
It does not mean that they will spend freely over the next few years. Billionaires don't spend money, they accumulate wealth by getting "things" cheap and selling high.

Rodgers or Sherwood is my choice, is the tinker man in a job.

Great post mate well said, but I think Bruce had run his course and clutching at straws at times with his team selection trying to great cretin players into start line up and playing them out of position, I backed Bruce up until Tuesday night for 2nd game we started the night with w strikers on the pitch and finished with none a winger playing as a striker at the end
But I do agree with your post.

It's Rodgers or Sherwood for me
Rodgers would be my first choice and I think he could be tempted he has won everything he can with Celtic, boardroom don't seem to be backing him and I have nothing against the Scottish league but this is his big chance to get back in the prem with s pretty good squad, it's not as if we have a poor squad there will be many managers wanting to take the job this time around
Sherwood would give our youths a chance but as you say he is always going to be under pressure with the I told you so group
Henry I'm feeling it at all I think he hasn't got the experience for the job let alone the league and he would only use us a stepping stone if he did get us from the championship
So for me Rodgers or Sherwood I'm 50/ 50 on.

Surely ffp comes into it when sacking a manager it's money going out but I do believe Bruce had a short term contract wasn't he on a rolling contract last season, not a 100% on that
I'm not convinced on Henry no experience as manager or the league although I would imagine he would attract a decent player and play a decent style.

I agree with you but give hogan a chance a few games with somebody up there with him 5 and 10 mins here and there won't work he is a natural goalscorer he know when and where to make the runs it's just a lack of ball going into him I never liked 1 up top.
