Looks like there is going to be a lot of interest in Tammy during the summer, with some papers saying around 30 million, if we can't secure him who does you guys think we should go for, I think big Ben would love to come back to villa park along with maupay we would get both for 30 million.

Its been talked about before, leave well alone in my opinion.
Too moody and temperamental, grown men should not need an arm round the shoulder to make them perform.
He is not the player he was, he used to be ours, but not anymore.
Neal Maupay would be the better option, he has done very well and deserves a chance.

2.) 09 Apr 2019 19:58:55
As soon as I saw Big Ben mentioned Dave I remembered me and you talking about him at length mate haha, I’d probably still have him back as a second striker, I’m probably blinded by the good times but I do think he’d fit this new system well, off the bench he’d be a quality option and when he was here before he really was phenomenal, top 5 goal scorer 3 seasons in a row in when you look back a proper poor team under worse management. I’d be wary of maupay, good player no doubt but his attitude is off putting and we should be very wary of signing strikers from Brentford who have had a half good season after Hogan. Probably need to see what league were in first, in the prem would be quality to get Tammy and then look abroad for another quality striker to push each other.

3.) 10 Apr 2019 16:04:13
I remember it as well chris, bloody funny mate.
I can see your point and respect your opinion, but I am stuck with my feelings on this one.
Its a shame I know, but the prospect just does not sit right with me.
If it happened I would love nothing more than to eat humble pie with you chris.

4.) 11 Apr 2019 08:09:53
Fair play mate, I reckon if we can’t get Tammy go get someone else, that batshuayi that Chelsea constantly loan out is a phenomenal striker. Then maybe if his available Big Ben for the bench, but only at the right price. No matter what happens we need so many players in the summer, half the team is loans.

If Tammy goes which will happen how about a cheeky bid for benteke,

Wages.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 15:19:59
Loan would be good thou for big ben.

3.) 06 Jan 2019 16:03:28
Aren’t Palace looking for a striker.? Maybe 😉 Tammy could go to them on loan, he must have a place in London too, that’d free up Benteke, see where I’m going with this? Suck it dingles 👹

So many on here are very quick to slate a player and want them dropped to the bench. we are not so quick to give credit when its dew. Albert was great yesterday Easley 9/10 for me Hutton much the same they have a great understanding as a partnership. loved the way Tammy kissed his shirt could be put in a bold offer for him in January. I think to boy is as cool as ice has the make-ins to be a top player.

Axel is just getting better by the game he reminds me of when Richards came into the city team big strong and lots of pace felt sorry for lansbury it just won't happen for him, kodija look back to his old self maybe his best game since his injury, we didn't play great but we were very efficient in front of goal, we need to defend better as a team for the blues second hourihane just expected hutton to pick up the runner and left with a simple tap in when our wing back push high up Whelan hasn't got the legs to get out to stop the counter so it's pulling Chester and Adel out wide at times.

It was a great win we have came on leaps and bounds in the space of a month maybe last month we might have lost that game roll on Wednesday night from now till Xmas is going to tell us where we be at the end of the season.

1.) 27 Nov 2018 16:25:37
Hi Villatrust, I can't recall anyone on here saying anybody should be dropped after Sundays game.
I think the general consensus was that, although not brilliant we played ok and achieved a great result, it was mentioned that Chester seems a bit below par, but nothing more?

2.) 27 Nov 2018 21:47:01
No villadave I'm not saying anybody has said anything about Sundays game, but it has been said for the majority of the season so far, I just think at times we including myself are very quick to jump on the players back, when maybe at times there confidence is low that all they need is us shouting there names from the roof tops and drive'in they on, our best performance last season was against wolves the crowed were electric crowed were the same on Sunday sometimes that can give the players an extra 10-15%, we won't win every game but we will win more than we lose we have a good squad with a good manager so it's up to us the fans to drive this team forward come match day.

3.) 28 Nov 2018 14:46:36
Villatrust

I don't take much notice of players who are seen kissing the badge,
Does not mean they love the club for all time,

Dont shoot, I'll hold my hands up I was one of the (Bruce stays) clan, but now my eyes have been opened
He has to go asap it hasn't worked for him I think football has moved on,
Question is, who do we get in
Problem is, Bruce will here until the international break which means is he gets a win will that changes owners minds just a taught.

Villatrust

1.) 02 Oct 2018 23:49:03
I think his days are now numbered, and I feel he knows it - It's gone beyond a joke now, and let's be honest we haven't really played anybody of note! I dread to think what Boro, West Brom, Leeds, Derby, Swansea etc would do to us under Bruce.

He has lost the fans and by the looks of it, the dressing room. I'd like to think we will have a new manager in place come the end of the international break.

2.) 03 Oct 2018 10:34:01
In his post match interview he used the phrase “I will battle on until I’m told otherwise”. Not the words of a manager with the backing of the board or the dressing room. Shouldn’t be a battle should it?

3.) 03 Oct 2018 13:42:40
Most will agree he has to go at this point, but what happened at the end of the game was disgusting and way out of line, SB got us away from the bottom of the table and although he doesn't have it in him to get us up. He deserves some respect from the villa supporters, after all its not like the job is an easy one over the past few years.

4.) 04 Oct 2018 17:19:59
i liked brucey, the main thing his name that should go with his his time at the villa, is that the players re established a positive link with the fans, all around the club, there developed a feel good attitude. shame it never lasts, but that's football looking at previous holders of the job, the likes of o'leary, lambert, di matteo, and that french bloke, that nobody had ever heard of. we have to be careful what and who, we wish for lambert was a popular choice at the time, people loved the way norwich played under him, and expected to see the same plying style brought with him. we all know what happened of course, but on the list of suspects there are names like moyes, pearson mccarthy, allardyce, pardew, some of these possibles have had enough clubs to fill a golf bag! i hope villa don't just play safe, i hope they hire an individual who has a firm idea of how football should be played, many people forget football is part of the entertainment industry. we've not been entertained since taylors time. the board needs to be bold. don't just go with the safe easy way out if they do go for an allardyce type figure we'll be in this division as long as forest have been sorry if i've bored you all, but its what i think from the heart vtid.

I'd like to see Chester start today we need some experience in that back line with konsa as the one with the most pace, I'd love if Deano changed it up and went 442 but I can't see that happening, this is a massive game we can't let Southampton and the likes pull away from us.

Villatrust

1.) 26 Dec 2019 09:48:24
I would not change to a 4 4 2 since dean came in we have played 4 3 3 it was working for the first 12 games of this season. I'd bring jack into middle get trez on the left or right and maybe drop el ghazi for jota. The defence is drooping to deep when losing the ball so the gap from defence to midfield and forwards is to big so any second balls were no where near it to win them as unit. I believe in Dean Smith we had a really bad patch hopefully we will come out of it starting today. UTV.

2.) 26 Dec 2019 11:06:44
I don't think 443 is working as mcginn and mings not playing so spine has been taken out of team. I also don't think we can play jota in 433 as he hasn't got the pass but has got a ping that matched snodgrass . i'd go 442 and get some balls in the box . Tell all our full squad is back in action. Come on your villa boys 👍👍👍.

3.) 26 Dec 2019 14:27:55
Looks like he’s changed either to 433 with jack back in middle or 4231 either way. good to see deans changed something slightly in terms of how we will be set up 👍🏻.

16 Dec 2019 21:16:23
I noticed this weekend a lot of the bottom 6 teams went with the fashioned 4-4-2, I think this is a formation that would work for us, Wes is in need of a helping hand up there kodija could play off him even trez, because what we are doing at the moment isiant working it's like we don't have the legs to get up the pitch and break the lines, nobody to run in behind, how we slipped up with maupay is beyond me, are we going to do the same now with bowen and Bahraini and another I'd like to see is olly Watkins.

My take on last night (simply outsatanding) all these muppets saying wesley is not going to do it the man simple a (mountain) his hold up play was great, villa fans are so quick to jump on players managers backs in unbelievable we need to realise we are going to get hammered by the likes of Liverpool playing the style we play, but I'd much rather it than just sitting back and try get it at a 2-0 or 3-0 we are building something special here so sit back and enjoy the ride.

Sanity at last.

3.) 25 Aug 2019 11:37:30
When do you play Liverpool?

4.) 25 Aug 2019 21:44:27
Don’t know Boly . I’m more interested to see when we play Burnley

Poor old dingles onlymdrawing 1-1 with last minute equaliser.

5.) 25 Aug 2019 22:25:14
Haha 🤣🤣🤣.

6.) 26 Aug 2019 12:40:47
Unbeaten. MTG.

7.) 26 Aug 2019 17:48:33
Unbeaten for the same amount of points. At least we know how to win a game 😉.

08 Aug 2019 18:59:29
With the window closed I'm happy with out business, we could have done with another striker, and I think smith knows that so I reckon Mr sturridge will come in on a pay as you play deal, which Is be happy with, roll on Saturday.

Firstly grealish never actually came out and claimed to be the next Messi or hazard (Not that I remember anyway)
We as the fans wanted him back from injury last season as soon as possible, and to be fair we would have never went on that run (without him) he lifted the hole club when he came back (fact).

Wasn't he the most fouled player in the championship over the last couple of seasons (he was targeted)
Hasn't he got a different type of player playing in front of him now with less movement and less pace.

Why are we expecting 1 player to carry us trough every game why are we as the fans of the club putting all this pressure on his shoulders typical of use the fans we have played 4 games what are some of you guys expecting this season? ( to give city and Liverpool a run) to a grip we are going to spend to season floating around relegation zone and hopefully we will have enough to stay up and build from that
We should be supporting what we not throwing them under the bus at every chance we get (thick and thin) springs to mind here guys.

I was thinking the same about midfield we are just a bit to open at the moment I know players are still getting to know one another's game but I think steady the ship get a few points the board first and we will see the confidence of the players, I just don't want to see there heads dropping if we go another couple of games without picking any pts up, looking at the high lights of the game we seemed by far the better team Saturday against a team that has been in the prem for the past 5 seasons and we gave them a rite good go of it,

Villa dave; I have no doubt it's the players after all the mangers we have gone trough it has to be the players, they go from 8 out 10 one week to 5 or 6.
