Looks like there is going to be a lot of interest in Tammy during the summer, with some papers saying around 30 million, if we can't secure him who does you guys think we should go for, I think big Ben would love to come back to villa park along with maupay we would get both for 30 million.

Its been talked about before, leave well alone in my opinion.
Too moody and temperamental, grown men should not need an arm round the shoulder to make them perform.
He is not the player he was, he used to be ours, but not anymore.
Neal Maupay would be the better option, he has done very well and deserves a chance.

2.) 09 Apr 2019 19:58:55
As soon as I saw Big Ben mentioned Dave I remembered me and you talking about him at length mate haha, I’d probably still have him back as a second striker, I’m probably blinded by the good times but I do think he’d fit this new system well, off the bench he’d be a quality option and when he was here before he really was phenomenal, top 5 goal scorer 3 seasons in a row in when you look back a proper poor team under worse management. I’d be wary of maupay, good player no doubt but his attitude is off putting and we should be very wary of signing strikers from Brentford who have had a half good season after Hogan. Probably need to see what league were in first, in the prem would be quality to get Tammy and then look abroad for another quality striker to push each other.

3.) 10 Apr 2019 16:04:13
I remember it as well chris, bloody funny mate.
I can see your point and respect your opinion, but I am stuck with my feelings on this one.
Its a shame I know, but the prospect just does not sit right with me.
If it happened I would love nothing more than to eat humble pie with you chris.

4.) 11 Apr 2019 08:09:53
Fair play mate, I reckon if we can’t get Tammy go get someone else, that batshuayi that Chelsea constantly loan out is a phenomenal striker. Then maybe if his available Big Ben for the bench, but only at the right price. No matter what happens we need so many players in the summer, half the team is loans.

If Tammy goes which will happen how about a cheeky bid for benteke,

Wages.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 15:19:59
Loan would be good thou for big ben.

3.) 06 Jan 2019 16:03:28
Aren’t Palace looking for a striker.? Maybe 😉 Tammy could go to them on loan, he must have a place in London too, that’d free up Benteke, see where I’m going with this? Suck it dingles 👹

UTV.

So many on here are very quick to slate a player and want them dropped to the bench. we are not so quick to give credit when its dew. Albert was great yesterday Easley 9/10 for me Hutton much the same they have a great understanding as a partnership. loved the way Tammy kissed his shirt could be put in a bold offer for him in January. I think to boy is as cool as ice has the make-ins to be a top player.

Axel is just getting better by the game he reminds me of when Richards came into the city team big strong and lots of pace felt sorry for lansbury it just won't happen for him, kodija look back to his old self maybe his best game since his injury, we didn't play great but we were very efficient in front of goal, we need to defend better as a team for the blues second hourihane just expected hutton to pick up the runner and left with a simple tap in when our wing back push high up Whelan hasn't got the legs to get out to stop the counter so it's pulling Chester and Adel out wide at times.

It was a great win we have came on leaps and bounds in the space of a month maybe last month we might have lost that game roll on Wednesday night from now till Xmas is going to tell us where we be at the end of the season.

Hi Villatrust, I can't recall anyone on here saying anybody should be dropped after Sundays game.
I think the general consensus was that, although not brilliant we played ok and achieved a great result, it was mentioned that Chester seems a bit below par, but nothing more?

2.) 27 Nov 2018 21:47:01
No villadave I'm not saying anybody has said anything about Sundays game, but it has been said for the majority of the season so far, I just think at times we including myself are very quick to jump on the players back, when maybe at times there confidence is low that all they need is us shouting there names from the roof tops and drive'in they on, our best performance last season was against wolves the crowed were electric crowed were the same on Sunday sometimes that can give the players an extra 10-15%, we won't win every game but we will win more than we lose we have a good squad with a good manager so it's up to us the fans to drive this team forward come match day.

3.) 28 Nov 2018 14:46:36
Villatrust

I don't take much notice of players who are seen kissing the badge,
Does not mean they love the club for all time,

Dont shoot, I'll hold my hands up I was one of the (Bruce stays) clan, but now my eyes have been opened
He has to go asap it hasn't worked for him I think football has moved on,
Question is, who do we get in
Problem is, Bruce will here until the international break which means is he gets a win will that changes owners minds just a taught.

Villatrust

1.) 02 Oct 2018 23:49:03
I think his days are now numbered, and I feel he knows it - It's gone beyond a joke now, and let's be honest we haven't really played anybody of note! I dread to think what Boro, West Brom, Leeds, Derby, Swansea etc would do to us under Bruce.

He has lost the fans and by the looks of it, the dressing room. I'd like to think we will have a new manager in place come the end of the international break.

2.) 03 Oct 2018 10:34:01
In his post match interview he used the phrase “I will battle on until I’m told otherwise”. Not the words of a manager with the backing of the board or the dressing room. Shouldn’t be a battle should it?

3.) 03 Oct 2018 13:42:40
Most will agree he has to go at this point, but what happened at the end of the game was disgusting and way out of line, SB got us away from the bottom of the table and although he doesn't have it in him to get us up. He deserves some respect from the villa supporters, after all its not like the job is an easy one over the past few years.

4.) 04 Oct 2018 17:19:59
i liked brucey, the main thing his name that should go with his his time at the villa, is that the players re established a positive link with the fans, all around the club, there developed a feel good attitude. shame it never lasts, but that's football looking at previous holders of the job, the likes of o'leary, lambert, di matteo, and that french bloke, that nobody had ever heard of. we have to be careful what and who, we wish for lambert was a popular choice at the time, people loved the way norwich played under him, and expected to see the same plying style brought with him. we all know what happened of course, but on the list of suspects there are names like moyes, pearson mccarthy, allardyce, pardew, some of these possibles have had enough clubs to fill a golf bag! i hope villa don't just play safe, i hope they hire an individual who has a firm idea of how football should be played, many people forget football is part of the entertainment industry. we've not been entertained since taylors time. the board needs to be bold. don't just go with the safe easy way out if they do go for an allardyce type figure we'll be in this division as long as forest have been sorry if i've bored you all, but its what i think from the heart vtid.

Quick question
Is the match tomorrow live on sky sports I reading it was but not showing up in the tv listings.

Villatrust

1.) 01 Mar 2019 13:46:59
Hi Villatrust, I think you will find W Ham v Newcastle is the main event on sky tomorrow mate.

2.) 01 Mar 2019 17:07:57
Mate apart from the rare xmas games sky aren't allowed to show any 3pm Saturday games championship or premier.

3.) 01 Mar 2019 18:01:43
Scotty mate, villa have got 3 games on sky before the season ends at 3pm kick offs.

4.) 01 Mar 2019 21:06:57
If you Google villa sky fixtures it's say tomorrows game is live but on sky sports it's says it's not.

5.) 02 Mar 2019 08:42:47
Think it says that as it’s on the avtv international channel.
My understanding was no sat 3pm are allowed to be shown live in uk.

11 Feb 2019 20:39:06
Following on from my post yesterday thinking more about it today, villa as a club has be slowly rotten away we had our chance to push on when o neill was here and we never did, instead we sold our best player 1 season after the next when we should have been building on it, if the club had of been ran on the same model as spurs we would should be where they are now, it wasn't to long ago we were challenging them for a 4th place finish, yet we have gone so far backwards it's unreal we bring average players on massive wages and loans that are of no benefit to us in the long run,90% of our first team are at the wrong end of there careers and are laughing there way to the bank, there are so many changes in our recruitment of players it's freightfull because if we don't change our was of thinking soon this ship going to continue sinking I'm not blaming Deano but I'm not buying this talking of there not his players even if there Bruce's players this on paper a stronger squad than last season's and we were very close to going up, yet the league is a little bit weaker than last season.

Villatrust

1.) 11 Feb 2019 21:23:37
Sorry mate I have to disagree with the last bit of your post.
I was only talking about this a couple of weeks ago, and we felt the league is a bit stronger than last year.
More sides are challenging and capable of making the play offs this year.

10 Feb 2019 12:27:59
I'm not one for screaming about sacking managers and changing managers every couple of months but I don't think much has changed since Deano came in yeah I know we played well if the first couple of games but looking at that team Friday night everybody has lost the spring in there step they had when he first came in I know we are missing Jack but the reality of it is we are going to lose him anyway we never seem to have plan b or c surly there is somebody in that squad able to play the grealish role if not change formation, what's wrong with the old 442, we have so many players running contracts down and so many loan players next season is going to be worse because the only players we have that fetch decent money is grealish, Mcginn, each season for maybe the last 8 we seem to be going backwards maybe this more than any this time last year we were floating around 2nd 3rd and 4th we are so many points away from 6 it's nearly mission impossible now,
I just don't see any improvement manger after manager and it's no better we have a good manger in Deano but I get a feeling if we had sir Alex in our dressing it wouldn't make any difference.

Villatrust

1.) 10 Feb 2019 13:50:04
So you agree with me then Villatrust?
Its the players and not the manager.

2.) 10 Feb 2019 14:10:53
So by your reckoning VD the players were the problem when Man U weren't performing not the manager, doesn't sound right to me!

3.) 10 Feb 2019 16:11:56
Their squad has undoubted talent, so in that particular case I think the players were not performing for Jose Mourinho, he is no longer the special one, and he is not a liked man.
I think Our case is a tad different, and I think most of the players we have are simply not good enough, and cannot carry out what is trained into them.
How difficult is it to pass the ball, run into spaces, spot dangers,
believe me all this is tried on the training pitches.
Dean Smith and his staff practice all aspects of the game, its up to the players to do it on the pitch under pressure.
Surely you have played football, did you have to wait till half time to get orders on what to do next, No.

4.) 10 Feb 2019 16:41:01
Villa dave; I have no doubt it's the players after all the mangers we have gone trough it has to be the players, they go from 8 out 10 one week to 5 or 6.

5.) 10 Feb 2019 18:08:36
Villatrust, that's the only point I am trying to make mate.
Get fed up with people calling for the managers head as soon as results go against us.
We have to stick with it, have some faith and patience, and eventually I think things will improve.
Players can make or break a manager.

13 Jan 2019 16:34:30
Rite, if you could bring 1 player in January who would it be (realistic) that would improve the team.

Villatrust

1.) 13 Jan 2019 17:48:17
Jagielka.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 18:29:53

13 Jan 2019 12:26:43
It's not looking good for play offs after yesterday, what a bad run of games December was always going to be a hard month but we started it well pick up a few injures and gone down hill since, last season we went on 2 great runs and that lifted us up into 2nd place we need Jack back fast because games are running out fast, I can't understand what's going on with our defence Chester looks half the player he was last season Hutton hastnt played well since we beat the blues we just can't keep goals out, the lads need to get there confidence back quick maybe we should go back to Bruce's tactics of (do not lose and try nick a goal) for a couple of games, I know under Bruce the back line got more protection from midfield,
Personally I would send bolasie back he isiant doing enough to merit his wages and we are only saving Everton 60k a week and costing ourself's we need to get green back in and put bolasie wages towards cahill's wages,

Personally grealish he creates so much space for the others around him next to impossible to get the ball off and tracks back aswell, a player I really like the chap that was on loan with the baggies from Leicester Barnes.
