Adams trying to prove he's still got what it takes in the premier league. Yes please. :-)

2.) 13 Jan 2016 19:19:43
Adams? Am I being stupid? Not sure who you talking about!!
I got the QPR reference!!

3.) 13 Jan 2016 19:49:51
i said Saturday it was strange how him and grealish was both "unavailable" for a cup game was strange as i heard if we got austin grealish was going on loan other way. hope this does happen. only problem in his contract with QPR being up at end this year i can't see a loan being done.

4.) 13 Jan 2016 20:33:02
Probably sticking a loan fee, so at least they will get some money?

5.) 13 Jan 2016 20:45:40
It's Charlie Austin maybe done before weekend he'd like to stay in London but with both palace and West Ham saying he's not on there radar villa are closest to family home doesn't want to travel to far from family home.

6.) 16 Jan 2016 17:11:36
Obviously Southampton suited best.

Went to sleep praying for at least two players am I still in a nightmare no signings every villa supporter could see what we needed why could this board see it no one in, no one out, no premier league next season
its time to get behind the squad we have and vent all our anger to board they have hung our club out to die hollis saying our signing ain't good enough that some clever comment when he knew we we not bring in anyone in and there the ones who were given task to keep us in league just hope we can show him what a muppet he's been .
IM VILLA TIL I DIE.

I saw gabby at shelfield soccer centre yesterday were my lads were playing the way he was jumping around he ain't got a bad back either remi don't fancy him or he don't want to play under remi if that's case get shot of him and recall Robinson and give him a chance or bring in a loanie like lambert remy both goal poachers.

Godsdog65

04 Jan 2016 16:07:57
So your in remi's position and RL as said you can spend 30-35 million to keep us in league who'd you bring in and release
Bring in - loic remy, andros townsend, kev nolan John ruddy, Sam byram
Out - Charlie, gabby, bunn, steer, Hutton, sendoros, Richardson
Recall baker and cole.

1.) 04 Jan 2016 16:36:01
Two bibles might not go amiss, plus a manual on tactics.
Austin, Nolan ( suggested last season and got blasted), Byram and almost anyone that can catch a ball.
Not enough room to list the outs as most will go if money is offered.

2.) 04 Jan 2016 17:00:19
Who or where as it been said he as got 30 to 35 mil to spend. I'd try and get remy on loan adebayor on a 6 month deal with option of longer if we stay up. Go for carlos kamini as new keeper and I'd take a punt on someone like huddlestone great pass on him prem experience. Rb I'd go for byran from leeds.

3.) 04 Jan 2016 17:30:42
We should just go and pick the best of the championship. I think a lot of them would relish the chance for half a season in the PL and play their hearts out for the chance (however slim) of staying up. Players like remy and townsend won't want to come on anything other than half season loan deals which doesn't do much for the long term and there isn't much of an incentive for them to leave it all on the pitch every week. You never know, we might just grab the next Jamie Vardy.

4.) 04 Jan 2016 19:04:47
I tend to think Andy is right here
Nolan is well past it; there is a reason nobody has gone for him
Adebayor is the last player we need in our position; I wish folk would stop mentioning him.

5.) 04 Jan 2016 20:25:37
One thing about Townsend and remy neither are regular starters at there clubs and both want to go to euros so a trip up M1 and M6 to villa park maybe what both Villa and they need and if they play there part in our survival they may want to stay for long haul, well here hoping.

6.) 04 Jan 2016 20:31:07
I know he's the way he is but you normaly get a good 6 months from him and he's prem proven and gets goals. I know he ain't a player you want long term or in normal conditions but we are a bit past that now and we need a gamble if we are trying to stay up. Or we give in take we are down in which case I then agree go for the best championship players we can.

7.) 04 Jan 2016 20:52:40
Sorry to sound defeatist but we are down mate. We need 4 wins just to catch up if those above didn't win a game.
Get Afobe from Wolves. He could do a job in either division.

8.) 04 Jan 2016 21:03:12
I'd not argue with that. I am grabbing away at the last bit of hope but I think we all know and accept our fate deep down. I also think afobe would be a good target. Byram as well I think would be an upgrade on what we have.

9.) 04 Jan 2016 22:13:48
Ok so if we have a bit of cash now
Id like to see us go rest of season like this then have a good go at getting back up next year

Alex McCarthy (5m)

Byrom (3m) okore clark Bennett/ amavi

Westwood gueye
Ayew. Grealish. Townsend (loan)

Afobe (8m)

Get rid of as much dead wood as poss.

10.) 04 Jan 2016 23:10:38
I think AndyVilla is onto something. Take the best in the championship, give them half a season in prem, some might do so well we sell them on, but for all who stay, along with SOME of the current players, you go all out next season to come right back. The trouble is, just as with what got us into this mess, is that it will be Lerner's decision. If he decides he WANTS to splash, and go all-in trying to keep us in the league so as to not further devalue his investment, that's what we'll do, and then we'll pay that price next season. It's an endless loop.

11.) 05 Jan 2016 00:30:22
For me, I think we're already down. My heart says fight till the last and buy the best but I also don't want is to make silly buys that lose us more millions that will be needed to rebuild us. For me I'd buy proven championship players now. 2 nailed on goal scorers in that division in McCormack and Rhodes, reuniting Rhodes with gestede in that league. Tom ince and Ssm Byram. I know he's unlikely to play in the championship but victor Valdes until the end of the season at least. Any money saved I'd plough into making sure we kept the likes of Traore, Okore, amavi and Gil as they would be very good a league below. I also think the likes of Lescott would be very dominant in that league. Whatever happens and whoever comes in, it hasty be with next season in mind otherwise the best players will already be at other clubs and we'll be buying expensive "wannabes" as usual.

12.) 05 Jan 2016 02:51:13
Valdes is a great shout mate.

13.) 05 Jan 2016 06:04:25
Thanks SPfister9, I think you make a good point too. The key is whether the board is going to be reactionary or proactive. Judging by what Lerner has done in the past he has either been very reactionary or seemingly apathetic so the outlook is pretty grim - panic buying DB9 for 24 million comes to mind, and business like that is no use in the predicament we are in. It won't keep us in the division and will leave us with players on massive wages who have no interest in playing in the championship and will probably end up leaving on the cheap just to get rid of them. Personally, I think we need to be proactive and ensure we bounce back at the first opportunity, which means we need to use our 6 month advantage and poach some of the best the championship has to offer, blood some youth, and get a squad gelled and playing Garde's system. That should leave us with less work to do than our rivals in the summer, and put us several steps ahead of the competition as we will be putting the gloss on the team and not doing major overhauls. Plus you never know, an injection of hungry players with a point to prove may just see us pull off the greatest miracle the premier league has ever seen.

Add senderos and Bennett to that swap Guzman for Rob green think comment about Westwood harsh last two season snake and ash were a good partnership he as been playing along side players who don't know or understand the premierships requirements and as had to guide them.

If we'd keep bent and Weismann we wouldn't be in this position chances we've wasted in front of goal they'd of put the ball in net whys Kozak not been given a run in side.

Richards is a right back he jumps out of defensive line into midfield to much leaving holes should use okore and Clark or lescott in centre would like another quality centre half on loan.

Big bonus from summer signings vertrout, Ayew and traore recruitment of players since O'Neill as been poor Lerner as to lower asking price to give us chance to start rebuild now if we're in championship or premiership.

Long shot but how about Rob Green at end of day QPR ain't coming back up this year, we need someone who as premier league experience £8 million bargain if we stay up get remy on loan and Nolan free plus try swansea's resolve for Williams
Green
Richards, Williams, okore, cisshoko
Bacuna, gana, Nolan
Traore, remy, ayew
Subs
Grealish
Lescott
Bunn
Sinclair
Sanchez
Gardner
Clark.

Think we should stick with garde like flakie said this teams not strong enough and lacks prem experience need new keeper for defo add two strikers and strong holding midfielder I believe we can survive it's seems if we concide in a game we dominate we can't unlock defences enough to get wins.

With playing after all the rest of bottom sides have played at least we know what we have to do today for me as above post we've got to attack Liverpool and get them on back foot from start I'd play a back 3 with Clark, okore and lescott wing backs Richards and cisshoko central mid 3 of bacuna gana vertout with Gil and gabby up top and have a real go at Liverpool only thing I'd keep bacuna off all set piece delivery, pressurise mignolet at every chance he'll drop a clanger.

A lot of teams are looking down at minute and hopefully we'll pass them on our way up it four from five with Mackems, Geordies, carrot crunchers and Bournemouth the other four if we beat Liverpool who I think are beatable followed by Stoke then Everton point each our run in looks good with Man U, Watford away with Bournemouth, Southampton and Newcastle either side at and hopefully Arsenal last game will be in another FA cup final and play a weakened side could give us another 17-18 points only games I feel we could lose in are man city and Spurs but city play champions league either side of our game so poss weaker team

That means we've got him for another three years payments over three season not a one isn't it?
As remi seen the light no Guzan, gestede or Richards in starting line up and giving Kozak a start maybe just maybe.

Sorry to say but remis tactic are awful he takes off Gil leaves on gana vertrout should of started so should of ayew gestede is shocking no commitment no passion no hunger we looked in second half like lost souls looking for a leader, garde and Lerner needs to go otherwise championship will bypass us and we could be a Portsmouth we need a manager who's going to kick some rear ends like Nigel Pearson or David Moyes buy British we need steel not flair.
