Now I may be laughed here but feck it.
When an ex player scores they don't usually celebrate correct? Now when a player wants to join a club but scores against them they do the same thing ( Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan against us)
weeeeeeeellll have a look at the replay of Januzaj after he scored against us!
If I was impressing my manager and the first chance I get I scored I would milk it for all its worth!

Adama Traore from Barcalona in England talking to us, Liverpool and West Ham.
He is looking at training facilities so if it's a choice between us, a septic pond in Sefton or a waste bin in West Ham I think we have ANOTHER new signing!!!!!

I hear it's Liverpool, Stoke and Villa. If he's looking at training facilities then area are right up there. This lad is going to want to play. The lure of liverpool will always be a big pull but with the players that already have does he want to be an anfield bench warmer or a regular. Either way, it's great we've thrown out name into the hat and are looking at these sorts of players.

Looks like it's a head to head between us and Stoke, although stokes interest in the player has been persistent you'd tend to think the facilities, infrastructure and stadium would tempt him to choose us. Maybe I'm bias, either way we certainly need a winger and a centre half before the close of the window. Utv

Well our midfield is starting to look pretty strong if you ask me. Delph, gueye, Westwood, Sanchez, Sinclair, nzogbia hopfully add Townsend. To be fair boys that looks pretty decent. A good balance between ball winners attacking and holding midfielders as well as some decent passers of the ball. Sign amavi and another CB keep Big Ben and i would be happy

I will have a slice. but to have both delph and gueye in the heart of our midfield I'm buzzing. Happy to keep Guzan in goal most of the goals we conceded last season was due to terrible defending. A poor defence can make any goalkeeper look poor. I think we need to seal the amavi deal and if tekkers goes get in a replacement. Possible Austin. Oh and Townsend. I would be a happy man then.

Fantastic news about Delph, still cannot believe that he would change his mind so late in the day, makes me wonder if Delph as perhaps been told something about the takeover, when it looked a done deal and a big money move for Delph and then to pull out at the last moment I can only assume that something major changed his mind.

Ok so looking at the squad and the names we are being linked with tell me what you think of this:
Guzan Okore Richards Amavi Sinclair Gardener Gueye Grielish Gill Kozak Austin
That's one player still to buy and I'm happy with that.
Townsend would be amazing, £100kbyore to replace Kozak with 20 to go, Sanchez on the bench, Clark is my question because from the Holte he was emmense last year.

what formation is it - you only got three defenders and one is Amavi, a very, very attack minded player. There is no way that combo of players work. The new players you've mentioned are spot on though. i'd like to see:

I have always felt that when Gabby plays we are a Ten man side.
He has had many years to prove himself at Villa and apart from a couple of seasons he alwys comes up short, well short.
He is not for me at all.

Thats part of the problem Andy he is part of the furnature, most feel the same, he is a villa fan and that's where it should end.
He is not good enoughat at this level, championship at best.

Club loyalty is a rare thing these days and if the opportunity is there it should be embraced. I agree he's not good enough but I think he can be used effectively as an impact sub or against slow teams where his pace can be exploited. I can't help but feel that his loyalty can rub off on others (like Delph) and he serves as an example to those coming through the academy (Grealish) that you can come through and retain a first team place. Don't underestimate the effect he has off the field, although I totally agree with you about him on the pitch. We should get his wages down next time his contract is up for renewal.

Why would we want to go up this season?
We need to treat the last 8 games as an extended pre season and get everyone fully fit and ready to fight from the first game next time around.
If we play this right we could be unbeaten next season with the best defence and the most creative midfield in the country with two of the hottest strikers in the British isles (If Jimmy Danger starts passing)
It is not beyond the realms of possibility that we go on a good cup run and get more than one Wembley day out of 2018. let's face it the Liverpool game was probably the best feeling since Blues 5-1 and the Arsenal final was a great day apart from 90 minutes where we watched 11 players on the pitch v 11 gnomes fishing for a plastic koi that's already stuck on their poles.
Lets do what Bruce says and get in one or two good players that will help the squad, not whole sale changes as he did in January, but he has learned and admitted that that was the wrong thing to do.
I would have downing back if that would add something but if it doesn't let's blood some of the young and hungry kids that want to play for the shirt and would die for the Lion.
Just look at the youngsters brawl against West Ham that's passion.

Lets smash the canneries tomorrow.
