Dave i wouldn't want maupay not a chance i'd rather have mitrovic, rondon or big ben bck any day proven prem players, i don't want us too make any more bad signings an maupay could be a flop big time mitrovic would be awresome at villa and i'd love big ben bck along with gary cahil, if we get solid prem players to go with what we have we could have a really good season, we want signings that are going to excite us fans, and why can't we attract better players were astonvilla we could attract most players if done right.

4eva it’s exciting times irrespective of the players we attract or sign .

I for one trust Dean Smith to make the correct decisions and sign players with potential and also experience

However mitrovic has not achieved success with either Fulham or Newcastle in the premier league,

Big Ben isn’t the player he was since failing miserably at Liverpool

Rondon as a player I like however WBA will want 15-20million for him and at 29 it’s too much .

We talk about experienced premier league quality players.

Didn’t we assemble a team of championship quality players 3 years ago with a view to going straight back up?

McCormack, Elphick, Chester, Adomah, Kodjia to name a few . 3 seasons later and 3 managers we are back where we belong .

We can all speculate about players, and i want villa to excite me .

But what excites me is not the calibre of player but the style of football, winning more than we lose, and the players on the pitch giving all they can for the team.

Im happy i just want us to sign proven players and have a good go in the prem, i think we could do well if we get the right signings .

Mitrovic is a good player I agree, however

Is he overly prolific? No

Is he a Dean smith type of player? No

if mitrovic is such a premiership talent and would walk into most teams the why did he have to drop down to the championship with Fulham on loan?

He has played for 5 teams and was prolific at both Anderlecht and Fulham on loan In the championship .

Last season in 37 appearances for Fulham he scored 11 goals .

Fulham would want 25-30million for him . and he doesn’t really suit the Dean smith philosophy.

If we’re looking for a powerful, paced forward now Maupay then maybe Batshuayi could be an option as he Is a powerful but pacey forward who has the same sort of goal ratio to mitrovic.
