I think that our current situation reflects the last 10 years. Overnight we have not become what we now see everywhere at our AVFC.
A rolling road of managers, a flow of expensive second rate players and very poor accountability.
Simple analysis indicates that we have developed a Don Quixote attitude that all will come right while we try to buy to get us promoted.
Some years 4,5 or 6, players were bought to get us promoted and some on here pointed out that we not only needed to get promoted but we had to stay promoted and players for the future had to come in to the club.
Unfortunately we have bought for the present, players whose stats looked good within the team they played for only for them to arrive and discover that stats mean sweet F. all when the opposition wanted claret on their boots.
Some times we look like the best, then we look like eleven blokes who have never met each other before. Complete strangers with no plan.
Are we dead in the water?
Not yet, but time is running out.
Out talisman is needed on the pitch but when?
Many on here will be aware that my call is we need the leader on the pitch, yes, the arse kicker.
Mings is probably the nearest, he is happy to be in the middle. Then we need TZ to make the back hard.
Of the current squad who should we keep? McGinn and look to dump any we get an offer for from anywhere. We will not get Tammy back, he will get offers from many who are waiting for him. Might manage to get TZ depending on MU.
overall we have a championship side that are happy to be just that.
Deano has to up his game by an enormous level and the owners must find a way past FFP.
The need for a total clear out is upon us and the next 3 games are vital. If we don't win all of them we will be still in the champs next season and Deano will get a last chance to produce the goods.

we will still be in the championship even if we win the next 3 games stop dreaming and be realistic our stats/ points per game are worse than when Bruce was here and they were poor then.
