So we have had a good start to the new regime, on a lighter note like myself there are a few old farts posting, I just wonder if the likes of mainbob, old villain and co can remember their first experience watching the villa and willing to share this. My first game with my Dad was April 1965, we played the Blues at home and we won 3 -0, from that day till this I have been bitten by the bug.

Watching the fa cup final against man Utd with my dad
That was my first experience and never forgotten
That's when you could mingle with the opposition supporters and have a laugh together,
Not today I'm afraid to say,

My first game was in 1955 I was 5 years old and spent the first half sitting on the cinder track round the pitch, and the second half on my dads shoulders swinging a rattle.
Back in those days if my memory is correct, you could get in for free at half time.
As you say bob you could mix with other fans, it was great fun.

Dave
The good old rattle!
Really great times,
I was 10 when I saw villa beat man Utd and my dad was a duel supporter of Cardiff and villa.
We were both born in tiger bay and i also have a soft spot for them but not there manager,
