Someone else made a post about Benitez being pissed off with various factors at NUFC.
It does seem that he could be nudged into a move from the north east.
Should we try and help him along his way with an offer he could find hard to resist?

Rafa is a great shout and top of my list a top manager that we realistically could get, he has a fantastic CV and given time and resources he could turn Villa into a real force.
I believe if he had got in the players he wanted as appossed to the Liverpool recruitment committee selecting the players which Rafa did not want then he would have won the PL title.
I doubt we will get him as he and our new CEO have history.
I definitely don’t want Dean Smith as good a job as he has done at Brentford Villa is way to big for him and we’ve been here before taking managers with potential if you remember Graham Turner and more recently Paul Lambert.

{Ed001's Note - Rafa never had a recruitment committee at Liverpool. He did choose the players. The recruitment issue he had was trusting his scouts and not checking out some of the signings himself. The one that stands out is Alberto Aquilani, who he signed having never seen him play and paid big money for him and was devastated when he seen him in training as he turned out to be a total flop. Rafa had almost complete control at Liverpool.}

and, unlike many of those touted around him, he has experience of winning trophies.
