Hi guys this is my first post I've followed this site for years and while I've disagreed with many posts I've always felt everyone has a vaild point. Here goes like everyone I am gutted about the result Saturday, but over the course of the season the best teams went up. I like a lot of fans watch villa with rose tinted glasses and apart from a few bad results I felt we had a very good squad and in my opinion this was down to Bruce he just needed to be braver at times. I don't think we should be jumping on the get Bruce out bandwagon, yes we will need to build again but let's make minor changes not a complete overhaul.

Welcome VillaGaz, I agree over all, but I think we will be forced into, a lot of change . Some of them may be for the better . If you have followed the page, you will have seen, certain posters have been calling for the youngsters to be given a shout . I think now, with all the financial restraints, we will be needing them . IDepending on who goes and who stays, I think quite a few of them could be gradually fitted in . If Brucie stays, he has to look at it compleatly, from a different angle, financially he won’t have any choice . The next few weeks are going to be vital, for the Villa . A lot of important decisions have to be made, decisions that they can’t afford to get wrong . What ever they decide, we will still be there trying to do our bit .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Hi VillaGaz and Davedean82,

I think we will undoubtedly see change as many of the loan players will now return to their clubs after we failed to go up. We may also need to sell to buy if we require players due to FFP, but having said that we are also lucky to have a very talented U23 squad who have been a breath of fresh air this season, so maybe we won't need to buy at all.

I personally have always liked the idea of a young squad, they are hungry for success, more energetic and have that killer pace, it is also a joy to watch the game played at speed. Maybe this is the nudge that Bruce needed to pull away a little from experience and integrate some young blood into the squad.

Players come and go every season so I just tend to go with the flow, but I would like Jack to stay if possible. But if not I suppose the cash generated will be of some use, so it is what it is, he won't be the first good player we lose or the last and that happens at every club. Anyway I'm sure the club already had a game plan for us not being promoted, but what it is we will just have to wait and see I guess.
