Watching Derby Preston, we have had some right gormless managers, Lambert letting Callum Robinson go and Sherwood letting Weimann go, what goes through their head.

I'm afraid every manager in one way ot other make mistakes in letting some players leave,
Also manager's who keep players who need to be shipped out?

Joe Bennett, Enda Stevens, both on the pitch last night.
The league is littered with ex AVFC players that managers have discarded and believe it or not many on this site have called for them to go.
Our managers in the Lerner era suffered from lack of support and had to ship out players for economic reasons regardless of their talent.
Frequently Lambert is blasted by many but he suffered more than any of our managers.
Some on here will say that he was useless and some of them are the ones that wanted him from Norwich where he was a very good manager.
It was only when Lerner cut funding that he struggled as any manager would have.
Benteke came in under Lambert and we banked £25m when he left.
Most managers would have failed through Lerner stupidity, it is only since the Dr arrived that we have had some stability.
There you are, my opinion, open honest.
Now i wait for the usual torrent of "abuse" from the usual posters.

Not from me oldvillan, you make a very good point, I have to hold my hand up and admit I was one of them.
It is in hindsight that I now realise the constraints Lambert worked under.
