Hearing the football phone in last night and I was disappointed to hear that Nigel Sims had no wreaths sent from villa at his funeral who he played for 300 games,
Yet he played for a few games at wolves, Peterborough and they sent flowers and wreaths,
I find this very poor from aston villa,
It seems he has been forgotten in his years being a great goalie in our 57 cup winning side,

Possibly the best uncapped keeper in the business.
Another player that won the cup in 57 was Stan Lynn, RB, with a shot that present day players could never get close too.
Some years ago I met a guy that played for us in the 50's, Joe Tyrell and he told me that Stan was so short sighted he could only see the shirt colours.
And finally, Nigel and Stan would have session after training, just the two of them. Stan at full power and Nigel stopping a big percentage of the shots.
A team of 110% players.
