So Taylor's three match ban stands, suddenly the decision to not have a back up left back looks stupid. Players who can play there:
De Laet - looked awful at right back against Middlesbrough in the cup, and that's his natural position
Hutton - can't even get into the the team at right back, has no ability in his left foot so always gets exposed there.
Bjarnson - has never really been given a run in his natural position however where ever he has played he's been very poor 9 times out of 10.
Clark - looked good against a very poor Wigan reserve side, however it's not his natural position.
Borg - never been given a chance not even in cup games so I presume he's injured or no good.

In the next 3 games they will come up against:
Costa - probably the best right winger in the league.
Ayite - very quick, very skilful.
Che Adams - again very quick and good at getting the better of his man.

Not to mention that no matter who we play there this will leave us with 10 right foot players in the team, so like the Middlesbrough cup game we will have no balance in the side.
If one of the lads mention can't step up to the plate it leaves us with a serious weakness that other teams will look straight away to exploit, the biggest test will be Wolves the first game against costa, keep him quiet and we should be ok, if we get rinsed by him at left back then expect Fulham and Blues to look to do exactly the same.

Hourihane is also left footed. Or have you forgotten his free-kick against forest.

Na mate, I said we would be playing 10 right footers, so I counted Hourihane, as you field 11 players in a football match - in case you didn’t know Fezz.

I wasn’t being funny mate.
I just wondered if Snodgrass would step in, I’m not sure he ever played full back before.
Personally I think we will go three at the back, sadly.

Sorry Flackie, I thought you was pointing out I’d forgotten Snodgrass is left footed (which i did) so 9/ 11 would be right footed not 10. Yea going back 3 is big possibility, the international break gives managers too long to think about things and I think he will change it like he did last time after the international break. So annoying we’re on this brilliant run and we lose a player in the one position we haven’t got back up, and to add to it we’re coming up against a team who’s best player will be up against the player who will have to fill in for us.

I’m pretty sure Chester has played there before, and samba could step in.
We would be solid defensively, just not great going forward on the flank.

Just the pace we’re coming up against that’s worrying.
