I'm not one for writing long posts as basically most posts go round in circles but I find it hard to believe some posters on here I feel as though I'm pissing in the wind. I was having a drink on Sunday with the great Terry Cooper (IMO one of the best England full backs) And his son Mark who is now Forest Green manager and who also played for Blues and yes I'm good friends with Mark before anyone says anything.

I was showing him some posts on here written by some and to say they laughed was a understatement. Mark hit the nail on the head when he said most managers know how to beat us simply because keep us quiet for the 1st 30 mins and watch the fans get on their backs.

I sat back and said you know what your right. Now I'm not 1 for slagging our fans off they pay their money they can voice their opinion anyway they see fit. I will take Blues for instance when the brilliant Zola was in charge of them only until the 21st game into his reign did they start booing how do I know this, I have many Blues fans.

in fact probably more than villa mates who told me they have suffered more crap than we have and they still stick by their manager until enough is enough. Leeds are a perfect example they was in the PL spent millions and got themselves relegated after suffering years of torment they are now reaping the benefits of good and sound book balancing.

it took them years but now look we are in the same predicament as they was. All the managers we have had over the last few years can't all be bad managers overnight including Steve Bruce he has the best record than any other manager in that division to get teams up yes in his own admission he has made mistakes, haven't we all?

Most have cried out to give youth a chance bruce has done that and let's be honest have they made ant significant influence on any game they have played? let's put it in to perspective at Their ages Rooney, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Barkley, Dier, Ali have all done it and got the T-shirts.

Are our crop of kids in this league IMO no. Bruce has had to deal with the same crap as any other manager and has done so with more vigour than anyone else if he gets sacked it's going to cost a lot of money to pay him and the backroom staff off and for what. so most can say I told you so be careful what you wish for Villa fans because some things comeback to bite you in the bottom.

I'm falling out of love with Villa not that I want to and not because we are in the Championship but the fact fans bang on about how bad we are we are. not bad far from it, we are only 3 wins off play offs for goodness sake. I say instead of booing and saying I told you so, back the team sing your hearts out and watch the team get better and better.

I hate posting the same over and over again, but come on now. Support your team back anyone who is in charge until enough is enough and maybe just maybe we will be back where we belong. #INBRUCEITRUST.

Villadaz well said, we have far to many fans who love to have a moan . As I said before, we where saying on the way to the game, the money and the way they have been doing, the Boro was going to be tough . obviosly I wanted a win, but realistically would be happy with a draw. I agree after the game I was dissapointed we didn't get a win, Especialy the way the game worked out, but no way would I agree with the booing . The players know they should of got the win, it's not going to make it better by booing them . We have only just started the season, With only a small percentage of better luck . we wouldent even be having this conversation . Brucie hasent had things all his own way, with top players out, injuries to others, just as we where getting started . So personally give it a go, get behind the team, even if you can't get behind Brucie . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Very good post villadaz
I admire and respect your views even though I have said myself that Bruce should go after the next 4 games if results don't improve,
I can see you have villa in your blood,
So I'm not going to say you are wrong in your views on Bruce,
We all have our own views and every fan should respect each other's comments,
It's just I don't like the personal abuse in some posts,
Keep it clean and sensible that's all I want to see.

I agree Daz

I have never been a person who would sack a manager without good cause .

Football in recent years has become a joke . I mean look and palace sacking de boer after 4 matches!

I believe that we have the best assembled squad in the division and I think Bruce is a very good manager

However he has a couple of failings which he needs to address sharpish

Scott hogan - he was scouted and brought by Bruce, we all know the way he should be fed the ball which is through the channels or over the top, for me hogans off the ball movement is probably the best I have seen down villa since Saunders/ Yorke/ Atkinson. However Bruce IMO is not playing to his strengths. Yes he misses a fair few chances but then look at the conversion rate of Lukaku he misses a fair few but also scores as he gets into the right positions.

Team Selection - IMO Bruce doesn't know his best team or formation. yes we have injuries and players coming back from injuries however I would like to see the next 5 games with the same formation and starting 11 players.

this is only an opinion guys before I get hung out to dry 😜

I have said on numerous occasions in the past on here that positivity breeds positivity and the only way to succeed in life is to back everything we do 💯 % no exceptions

So let's just back the team.

Villa-kenn

I agree we have to get behind the team in this present time,
But Bruce needs to sort himself out quickly now,
In the calendar year he has averaged 1 point a game!
That is relegation form,
He has been here 1 year now and still does not know his formation or who to play.
He looks a beaten man in dugout and being on sky tv again Saturday away from home does not bode well for a good win,
Our away form must be the worse in all 4 divisions,
I really do hope he can turn it around but after the next 4 games which are all very winnable if they go pear shaped some Think has to happen,
I love my club and we deserve better than what we are seeing on pitch,

Class of 82, it's never personal with you fella. in fact I do like reading your posts as you seem an intelligent bloke. we may have different views, but hey oh, that's life. all I'm saying is chopping and changing as we have done over the years has got us where we are today and if we do the same again we are back to square 1.The great Fergie was 1 game away from the sack and look what happened there.

Football is a results game yes granted but who do we get will it be another gamble will the next manager get the players playing for him? it's a tough choice again I'll take Blues for instance they sack Zola and replace with the elephant man. he keeps them up by the skin of their teeth and now like us are at the bottom does that mean elephant man is a bad manager also? We need stability and a win and when that comes I am positive that we will climb the table and in fact I am still positive that we will go up this season.

Villadaz, thanks for the insightful and well written post. I have been a champion of stability for many years and find the current trend of instantly sacking a manager after a few poor results sickening, however, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on how Bruce can turn this run of form around.

Nobody can argue with his track record in this division and, despite what some may say, he is clearly a very capable manager at this level - My major concern with Bruce however is he doesn't seem to know how to get the best from this squad of players, some of his team selections have been mind boggling to say the least. Injuries have played a part, no argument there and I'm sure we will improve with Kodjia and Jedinak back but I'm just interested to hear your opinion on his team selection and tactics? Also, do you see a team playing and fighting for their manager? Personally I don't and that is a huge concern.

Cheers BK, to be honest mate personally I would play Snodgrass in the number 10 role I think he has bought tried and tested players to get us the experience we need to get us out of this league you can't knock him for that as it's worked at every other club he's managed this division.

He has made some daft decisions but he's the manager he knows along with his coaching staff what to do with ie: Tactics fitness and also how to win games not one person on here knows what goes on in the dressing room at half time or before a match but he can't turn into a bad manager overnight no way on this earth. How can he turn it around?

Only he knows the answer but I think and I hope I'm right we are not too far off at some point a team is going to get a tanking then watch the confidence flow after all confidence is the main factor and booing certainly don't help a players or managers confidence.

Main bob, again it's not personal mate. we all have different views I agree after all its a forum and everyone is entitled to their view we need to be singing from the same hymn sheet not barracking. A poster wrote we have to take our claret and blue spectacles off I certainly don't wear them perhaps the same could be said to them who think we have the God given right to piss this league because we are Aston Villa well guess what footie don't work like that no more.

Villadaz, totally agree, Snodgrass should be played in the 10 role and Adomah should be wide right - I never understood the signing of Elmohamady when Adomah is an assist machine. We have such strength in depth, its just about finding the right balance and while all I want is stability I just wonder if Bruce is the man to find that balance.

I wonder with all the injuries though will Bruce play Snodgrass wide left as I don't think Bjarnason is the answer with Green and Grealish out?

Saying that, in an odd way, perhaps these injuries will help Bruce as he may be forced to play certain players. In our current situation I think this is our beside side and its a side that should dismantle most teams in the division.

Johnstone,

DeLaet, Chester, Bree, Taylor

Whelan, Jedinak

Adomah, Hourihane, Snodgrass

Kodjia.

As always villadaz very good intelligent posts. stabillity is everthing. Sacking the manager i don't believe is the answer. The same people over and over again calling for the managers head don't seem to comprehend the damage that would inflict on our great club. like yourself i believe we will be in with a shout come the end of the season. VILLA FOREVER MATE!
