I know we are on a good run and winning games but my concerns are again in midfield, no goals and never really looking like scoring from midfield, if Kodjia goes on a baron spell we will be snookered.

We purchased Lansbury, Hourihane, to score goals and create chances, imo they are falling well short of their purpose.

Kodjia, great he is scoring goals yes, But a team player no way, Great work and pass from Hogan, great goal follows and what does Kodjia do, totally ignores Hogan runs past him to acclaim his praise, that to me is shocking.

After Scotties injury a few weeks ago when players left him rolling on the floor in pain, and his lack of support from Kodjia, I would be a little concerned as to whether my face fits.

When he is settled and with the proper support I still think Hogan has more goals in him than Kodjia.

For that reason if a team comes in with a 22 - 25 mil bid for Kodjia I would take it in a heartbeat.

If Kodjia goes on a baron run we're snookered, yet we should sell him based on his celebration and Hogan will score more than him anyway? Have you got a split personality mate? Just joking but that reads a bit like opposites.

Don't think you can read too much into celebrations, he ran straight over to where the players families sit and was pointing into the crowd, after about 10 seconds hogan and him were hugging.

Shouldn't be selling our best players, unless it's for ridiculous money, his proving week in, week out to be one of the best in the league and Saturday showed he and Hogan can play together so they should be both hitting 15/ 20 each next year!

As for the midfield, they create enough, I'm sure Hourihane has two assists in the last four but yea it would be nice to see them add a few goals, Hourihane seems to come close every week.

But at the end of the day, we've won 6 in 7, doesn't matter whose on form, whose scoring, who's celebrating with who, winning is winning.

chris, read it properly.
I did not say Hogan would score more goals anyway, I said I think he has more goals in him, the defining words being I think.
I did not say I would sell him based on his celebration did I, I said I would sell him because I don’t feel that he is a team player.

We would be snookered without Kodjia`s goals during the season as the team stands now, that is why I would sell in the summer, got it?
And 25 mil would be silly money imo compared to the money we paid for him, that is more than double, correct.

I love Kodjia and have said so before, but he is a free spirit and not a team player Hogan needs a Nakki wells / Mousa dembele type player up front with him, Kodjia is a very selfish player and needs to change, just my opinion.

Have to agree with Villadave, kodija is a top striker in this league, however, his loyalty has to be questioned, after leaving bristol city, and citing the usual bog standard 'great club, couldn't say no, huge sleeping giant, in love with the fans already. yadda yadda, ' he then went on to say about using bristol city as a stepping stone, and how eventually he would play for one of the biggest clubs in europe.

i'm not so naive to think he'd stay for the rest of his career, but i've a feeling if his agent could get him a bigger gig this summer he'll be in like flynn, yes we can get maybe 25+million for him, and maybe we could sign another precocious talent, but then that stuffs what brucey has been trying to build-continuity, and don't imagine other players' agents will not want their clients paid more.

if, as usual, we have to pay more to attract a striker to join us, i think hogan offers us more because he brings others into play and that helps build unity, just an opinion, and hopefully i'm wrong and kodija stays, scores like a gigolo and he and hogan click, but from what i've seen, its hogan who let's kodija rule the roost, supporting him, and i think that undervalues what hogan can bring to the party.

i know i'm in the minority on that, but if mcshortfarce staggers back, and we ended up being stuck with him, i think him and hogan would form a much more formidable and productive partnership-let the pelters begin!

Why on earth would you want to sell a proven goal scorer at all Dave?! Keep him unless someone offers mega money. To which your talking 30m+.

So you don't think he'll score more goals but think his got more goals in him? Makes no sense, I don't think I'd score more goals than Ronaldo but reckon if I tell Real Madrid I've got more goals in me they'll give me a contract? Kodjia needs to change?

Yea please stop scoring and winning us games, it's ridiculous. Selfish or not, Celebrates on his own or not, Kodjia has produced the goods all season consistently, it's no coincidence our worse spell coincided with him being at AFCON, selling him would be ridiculous and a step back.

Finch, I am not explaining myself again mate.
The clues to your question about proven goal scorer are in my previous two posts.
I have stated silly money have I not?

I said a couple days ago that it would be nice to see some loyalty from kodgia. Its on the cards that he is going to attract other clubs in the summer. his application is second to none. he and Scot are starting to get together and hopefully will go on to be a magic partnership. Personally i think it would put a spanner in the works of what the Bruce is trying to achieve with these players should be go in the summer.

But it doesn't make sense Dave, we signed Hourihane and Lansbury to make chances, there not sell Kodjia for silly money as hogan has got more goals in him with proper support, as you claim, the strikers haven't got proper support at the moment but Kodjia is scoring, would hogan do that? It remains to be seen, he has 1 goal at the minute provided by a villa player so the supply was there.

He had 2 good chances Saturday, both given to him in very good positions from the midfield. If silly money came in as in an offer we can't refuse then maybe sell Kodjia, but today's market 25 mil isn't silly money and your argument just seems to disagree with itself. If he goes Hogan is then getting the same service that Kodjia is getting now that you don't think is good enough for him to score goals?

So where does that leave us, mid table?

If you say so chris, sorry to confuse you.
It all started off very simple but your misunderstanding, your replies and miss quotes messed the whole thing up.
Let's move on.

Mate it's not personal it's just so contradictory it literally makes no sense, I may have paraphrased but you can't change what you said. The midfield aren't providing good enough service, Hogan has more goals in him than Kodjia, and for 25mil we should sell Kodjia. Kodjia goes and then Hogan gets the same level of service from the same midfielders, all that goes is the goals we are getting now?

25million is not silly money in today's market. I don't get why you'd be so eager to sell one of the best strikers in the league? But from Saturday, they are working well together, Hogan missed two good chances, Kodjia scored two of his chances, both looked and sounded buzzing with the result. Let's just hope hogan isn't as upset as you about Kodjia not celebrating with him.

Changing the subject a little lads, how do you see tonights game going. hopefully the kodg can get on the Scot sheet again. Not sure if Hogan is fit to start after the niggle he got at the weekend. Reckon2.1 to the villans. Keep our momentum going.

Yes chris,
Oh before I go, look at your previous post timed at 14:04:28, you start by saying "but it does make sense Dave" what makes sense? I never said anything about making sense, if I did point it out.

And buy the way 25 mil for a championship player is ridiculous money, trust me, that’s a fact.

Does all that make sense.
Our window cleaner supports Everton, he thinks you have been drinking.
Nothing personal mate. I am tired now.

I think we have found the issue, your reading skills, I said it doesn't, doesn't make sense. I'll leave it there, I treat it as a banter page, for banter but you seem to take things personal mate. Tell your window cleaner mine need doing if he's about though.
