Interesting to see that we are split on the Gabby situation.
Very clear that some think that he should rot in hell while others are more generous and think he should get another chance.
In a biblical sense we should welcome him back but some see him him as a lucky bas. d that should never be forgiven.
Whatever our opinions, mine is that he is worth a chance, Bruce will decide what he wants to do and it looks like he is making the right decisions at the moment.

what we have to take into account is the affrican cup of nations as well. gestede won't be going but we will loose kodjia and ayew for a while so that leaves us light and a fit and fully focused gabby in this division is a decent stand in. that's what I feel bruce will have in mind and then if he does ok he will be more sellable come the end of the season if we go up as he then would not be good enough.

Tough post villa man.
The inability to forgive is a character that is difficult.
Most of us have done something that we would rather not have done. I guess that Gabby could be the same.
Bruce will decide and he looks like he is going with him.
Many were anti Bruce, how wrong do they look now.

I do agree oldvillan. How ever I like to think I learn from my mistakes, rather than repeating them, or flaunt them, or rub them in the face of others!

Oldviilan, Just picking up on your point about people being anti-Bruce, if people don`t like him that’s fine, people cannot be labelled as looking wrong because we have won 2 games and drawn 3.
I like Steve Bruce a lot, and can see him bringing success back to Villa Park, nobody is wrong.
As far as Gabby is concerned he should be shipped out IMO the man is a joke, but if Bruce thinks he can play a part we must support him for his belief in the player, his enthused effort on Sunday will soon leave him.

How long have we waited for Gabby to get back to some acceptable level. By the time he does how long till shows SB and us the same contempt? Really can't be bothered to invest my time and energy in him and wish would leave in January! If stays and SB has him as a project so be it! I for one have No time for him now.

*Disclaimer - poster cannot attend games*

He is only going to sit in the reserves collecting his massive pay check. If he gets the opportunity to play his way back into the side he might come good again or at least interest other teams who might be willing to buy him and give him a career extending contract. It's best for all this way. Those who want him to have another chance will see him get one, those who want him gone will hope he shows enough to get signed somewhere else and Gabby himself has the chance to show how much he loves the club or just enough to con potential suiters into giving him a nice long contract he can sit on their bench collecting it. Just letting him rot in the reserves without at least giving him the chance doesn't help anyone.
