Re:Martinez suspension, I find it quiet bizarre that UEFA have decided to punish Martinez for merely asking for a ball so his teammate can take his penalty, especially when the reason there was no ball was because the other player kicked it into the stands out of frustration, surely it should be the Lille player getting booked as he would if he done it during to game ?‍♂️ people may say "oh he wasn't innocent he was up to his antics" hmmm ? his antics were merely a shush gesture to a crowd who were giving him nothing but stick and abuse all night, tell me this, does a striker get booked for a shush goal celebration? No he does not so I see no difference in the situation, the "shush" and "cup the ears" are 2 of the most common goal celebrations aimed at opposing fans and we see it in numerous games every weekend.
Add to this the fact that UEFA "decided" to give him a suspension for it tells me that it's not clearly stated in the rules, if it were a Madrid or Man City keeper you can bet they wouldn't be suspended for it.
UEFA need to man up and admit they made a mistake with that ref, he lost the plot there were so many ridiculous bookings in that game, without any bad tackles I might add, 13 yellow cards was a joke, same with the ref in the first Ajax game, another Sunday league ref who lost the plot and ruined a game.
another point, the other goal keeper wasted his fair share of time when they were 2 goals up on the night, and every one of our players that came to take a penalty he was out trying to get in their heads, the ref had to tell him every time to get back on his line so what's the difference there I ask ?‍♂️

The problem is Martinez has a reputation and so refs are looking for him, he always pushes the envelope and whilst I don’t agree with the suspension he put himself in a position where he gave the referee a decision to make.

Standing there asking for a football so Ollie can take his penalty isn’t putting himself in any position though lotm, the ref was a complete incompetent who pulled out a yellow when he didn’t even see what he done, I just hope that Olsen doesn’t let in his usual 3 goals per game played, if he does then it’s partially our own fault for not having a reliable backup keeper

We must really rate the Aussie keeper because if the details I have seen re his contract are correct we are paying him £100k a week more than what Mings and Luiz are currently on!

That is on one site and it's obviously a typo, every other site has him at £10k per week.
