No matter if we finish Forth or Fifth, we have had a brilliant season . When you compare our position when Emery came in . One of our main problems appears to be defensively. The lack of clean sheets bears this out, imagine where we could of been if that was sorted . Since the loss of Mings, we have no leaders at the back . None of them seem to be talkers, even Martinez, time and again we've had problems because he hasn't shouted my ball .As a solid unit, they should be talking nonstop . Mings was a shouter an organiser, it shows with the goals we are conceding, just how much we are missing him . People have raved over Pau, his passing out of defence, if I remember rightly Tyrone did this as well .

With you Dave, Mings should walk straight back in to that side.Mings balls down the line to Ollie where as good as Torres, yes the cross field are better with Torres however his defending and pace is definitely an issue. The amount of goals we have shipped recently is unacceptable and must be addressed and personnel could be one of the seasons.

Even when everyone is fit Emery will always start with Torres, if he was happy with the Mings/Konsa partnership he wouldn’t have splashed out big money on Torres. If the Hermoso rumours are true and he signs I think Mings will be sold, which personally I think would be a great shame because I like Mings but I’m not sure Emery does.

Guys! We might not finish 4th or 5th the way things are going right now.
We’ve been victims of our own making in too many games, particularly since the start of the year.
Our form has been mid table at best.
We can make top 5 but we must improve significantly over the remaining 6 games.
All that said we’ve had a tremendous season so far but it is getting away from us a little at the moment.

Can’t see that myself, if we sign Hermoso and keep Mings then even if Lenglet returns to his parent club we would have 5 centre backs and that’s too many. While Mings has some ability on the ball he won’t be a first choice defensive midfielder in Emery’s first XI and given his age he isn’t likely to accept merely being a squad player.
