Anyone hear what Dwight Yorke said he reckons it's because he's black he's not getting jobs what a load of bull I'm a Blackman myself and I hate it when people use the colour card, It's simple Yorke put the work in and start at the bottom like every1 else well 90 percent anyway, colour has nothing to do with him not getting the job, it really annoyed me that did.

{Ed002's Note - It remains rather sad that anyone in this day and age is throwing out racism as anything more than a minor issue. Years ago it was - Clyde Best fought against it for years and settled on a career in the United States where the events of the 60s had addressed much of the issues there had been historically. Millwall and their fans were constantly accused but much of that dated back to the late 1950s and early 1960s where folks from the West Indies were arriving by boat and supposedly taking jobs away from the honkies - whereas in reality they took on many of the jobs the honkies didn't want. To a minor extent it remains - ask Danny BAker about his grandfather. Everton were a side accused of racism because they were no more than one of the last teams to integrate black players in to the side. The National Front organised a protest at Chelsea when the very likeable Paul Canoville became the first black (as far as I recall) to play for the club and it took Chelsea chairman Ken Bates to be persuaded there was an issue before acting. We have seen the likes of Luis Suarez racially abuse Patrice Evra during a game and both Sol Capbell & Micah Richards being abused in the extreme by players, social media and the like. We have seen a brain dead ex-Aston Villa manager call Marcel Desailly a "fucking thick lazy nigger" whilst commentating on a game for ITV. More recently, within the past year, we have seen a particularly ignorant Premier League club owner make a racist comment about an ex-player. But, I am not aware of people really being discriminated for coaching roles or other positions by clubs because of their colour in recent years. There may not be a hit on the white/no-white ratio in coaching that aligns with the poplulation nor even people playing the game - but there is not the interest in coaching from that side of the community. Issue wise it has greatly improved, but not fixed just yet.}

Villa4eva totally agree “for once lol” it really annoys me not just football but all walks of life it does not matter who you are or where you have come from if you have the talent that correct attitude and commitment and a never give in attitude even when you get knocked down you’ll succeed.
As for Dwight Yorke who does he think he is, I can’t speak for other Villa fans but I can’t stand the bloke, when he left us for Man Utd I understood why he wanted to go but my issue is the way he went and what he said when the deal was finally pushed through, he showed the club and fans that had made him what he was total disrespect and to top it if he loved Villa so much why did he go and play for the blues.
Dwight Yorke is not a Villa legend and any affiliation he had with the club and fans he destroyed for the reasons above.

Dwight Yorke only seems to get his name mentioned for a management role when Villa have a vacancy. It's as though he thinks he is the biggest player to have ever played for the club and that we still owe him a living. He throws out the fact that he was a legend each time saying the fans love him and still hold that special bond towards him. Personally I lost all respect for the guy in a Villa loyalty sense when he demanded a move to Man Utd by saying that if we didn't sell him then he would wind his contract down and leave on a free. I agree with Vill4eva get a job at the bottom and work your way through to a top job if you are any good as there is no free ride for you at our club.
