Has anybody else heard the rumour about Sam Johnstone going to West Bromwich Albion I for 1 would be gutted heard its a done deal hope not I spoke to Wyness at Boro and he said we are still trying to sign him so don't know what's going on.

If he wants to sit behind ben foster in the pegging order, shrewd move on his part, if he does go (hope not), why not try and get in tim krull from brighton, and in return we'll send them calderwood and gabby!

I can’t go!
My understanding is, they can only recall him from the loan for them to play him. I believe he can commit to sign for another club though, but can not go there until the summer.

Your understanding ‘flackie’ is once again incorrect. If Man U wish to recall him and sell him they are more than free to do so, even if you object. I can imagine any ‘logic’ to a loan contract which states ‘player may be recalled from loan but then may not be sold during the same season - the clause just does not exist.
