i heard grealish is storming league 1 should be a regular next season he's much better than gabby

Gabby on his day is unplayable and defenders always mark him as they know he has pace to burn. Maybe next year Albrighton, Grealish, Helenius, Weimann, Gabby, Benteke? will be the forwards - who knows!

Do you watch football? Gabby is a good player at prem standards if he went to league 1 he would storm it he would demolish it.

There is many young players I'd love to see more of: Gary Gardner (injured as always right now), Samir Carruthers, Jack Grealish, Mikey Drennan, we have an array of young talented players, Grealish is back in January as is Carruthers - so maybe they will get some games under their belts in a Villa shirt in the second half of the season

Lets not put too much pressure on these lads, too many people are expecting them all to play at the age of 18 and be villa's answer to messi, yes some of them will be good premier league players but let's give them a bit of time to develop their game first.

I hope helenius starts getting game time soon. He looks a better player than kozak imo. Although they're different kind of players. I'd like to see him pair benteke in the same formation we used against city

I did actually chuckle to myself when I read that comment above suggesting that Grealish is better then Gabby. don't get me wrong I have heard great things about him and he is definately one to watch out for but to draft him in ahead of one of our better players is ridiculous!

I appreciate Gabby seems to split fans and opinions seem to vary towards him from game to game from some 'fans' but for me he is a main stay and should always be in the team when fit. Yes he isn't consistent in front of goal but his pace and willingness is always there. behind Benteke and Delph, for me he is one of the first names on the team sheet and has been one of our better players this year.

Well we don't have a wilshire, barkley or januzaj on our hands, we have a gabby, a townsend so on and so forth, if you can name on one hand the teenagers playing in the premier league than that says it all, carruthers and gardner have both been given first team action and it was clear they weren't ready so I say again, let's give the young lads a bit of time to play some football before sticking them in with the big boys to get bullied every week

Gardner would or should be playing if was fit better than the cheap imports, you could buy those player from Scotland, the leages they play in are not as good as Scotland, i'm talking about 21yr old not teenagers

Carruthers? mate, he got game time under McLeish and megged Steven Gerrard and then unfairly got booked for a "dive" which should of been a penalty! how is that out of your depth? and that was 2 years ago!

Great comment ethAVFC, totally agree.

We played players last year who had gained expereince in the lower leagues and they struggled to adjust straight away, needing 3 months or so to start getting to grips with the demands. Young players need a footing and not just chucked in there. Grealish and Carruthers getting game time is good for them and good for us in the long haul.

People have to remember that Wilshere played regularly on loan at Bolton before Wenger gave him a chance and Barkley spent most of the last 18 months in the Championship. Look at Sterling. Looked a world beater in his first 10/12 games then massively got found out and struggled to recover.

Lambert is doing the right things with the young kids on the brink.

I have, been to some of their games also with my girlfriend, so yes I have and they say he's a great prospect, open up your eyes and feel the warmth.

How anyone can think agbonlahor and weimann are good footballers is totally beyond me I haven't missed a minute of action this season and they have both been awful and are championship quality players with nothing at all to offer bar pace. unfortunately it is only a matter of time before delph and benteke will be forced to leave because they won't want to play for us much longer not that losing benteke would hurt us that much as he is a shadow of last season and i'm convinced helenius could do just as good a job. the team still can't win at home can't even notch a goal and generally look lost at this level. another relegation battle looms. you can disagree all you like but there is no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Have to agree grealish is a way better FOOTBALLER than gabby who is merely an olympic sprinter. has anyone seen him DRIBBLE with the ball? now, dribbling is all about close control, nifty footwork, agility and balance, sorry, but gabby can't dribble, his first touch, passing, finishing, anything TECHNICAL is terrible. he is NOT prem standard anyone who disagrees need to take a look at themselves seriously

On his day gabby is unplayable the problem is midfield no killer pass etc that includes Delph who is looking good in a bad team, when is PL going to trust some of the young players

Helenius do as good as benteke. Are you having a joke? Helenium is incredibly average and benteke is one of the best strikers in the prem and, before his injury, scored 5 in 5. Think carefully before you start saying a player that h s hardley played is as good as benteke who I'm sure every team in Europe want apart from real and barca

Benteke would boss it at real. They wouldn't take the risk though. I agree with the other guy that gabby is not as good technically as grealish although I would still probably play gabby. Can't see why sylla doesn't start? And Weimann needs to either pick up his game or be dropped.

I think gabbys game relies on him being mentally fit. Once he hits a bit of form he's quality. Until the end of the season or until he gets injured

I've been watching this forum for a while now, looking at the rumors and such, and I LOVE to say this, Joey IS a target for Villa, and one I would welcome with open arms looking how weak we look, even if he's not ON the pitch he wouldn't take any s**t off it or in the dressing room, Rodwell would be a great signing, although not sure what his wages would be.
also heard Jermaine Defoe a MASSIVE target for Lambert and again, I think he could do well for a season or two
