Paul Lambert is closing in on his final transfer target of Viktor Fischer of Ajax. The Danish wonderkid is the attacking midfielder which Lambo has been chasing and my sources indicate he's now put in a bid. More to follow!

Fingers crossed, really rate this kid. And for those that care he's also a good buy on fifa, costs Â£1m with potential of 85 and can score from anywhere from the second you sign him. But seriously i've seen him play a few times and he's a great little player!

This guy is really special, one of europes proper wonderkids. how much would we have to pay? between 12-15mil is my guess which makes me rather sceptical to be honest. would be a terrific signing though

Villa and Ajax are now in formal discussions over Fischer & the proposed fee is rumoured to be Â£5.9m (7m euros) + add on's of a further Â£2m-Â£3m.

Dutchvillan, why is Fischer going so cheap? 6m + addons? That seems like a silly silly amount of money for a highly rated youngster, he won't be going anywhere for that price, I'd believe it if It was 7m + 5m addons depending on his success but 8m just seems like a joke

Bargains are to be had - Okore is seen as a future world class defender (Â£4m) & Benteke (Â£7m - when we talked them down in price!).
Sometimes prices are seen by the public in inflated amounts but Ajax have always tried to build a squad of players who want to stay at the club when its well documented that Fischer is looking for a new challenge.

Sorry but benteke wasn't seen as a potential world class player hence why we were the only club interested in him

An Okore, no matter how good he played against Chelsea last season in the CL, at the end of the day he was at a club that was playing the equivelant of league 1 footy an I don't think to many clubs were chasing him which tells us that not everyone was convinced about him.

Fischer on the other hand has been linked with virtually every "giant" club in Europe including Man United and scored prolifically as an AM last season in a good league, so if he really is available for Â£8m then them "giant" clubs would be making their move.

I'd say learn your footballing facts firstly then - Arsenal & Inter Milan had been scouting Benteke for around 8 months before we signed him firstly! Okore had been subject of bids from both United & Chelsea.
Scg87, I suggest you do both research & look in depth into a players present & past situations before you say things in future mate.

I think you missed the point DutchVillan, Fischer is considered to be in the same bracket as C Erikson, so it seems crazy to think Ajax would sell Fischer for Â£8mil ish when in 18 months he'll probably be worth double that Â£8mil.

The deal has apparently hit a snag as Ajax are waiting over Eriksen' move, yet talks are continuing from what I hear. I'd have a look at the Joshua Gatt rumour above also, I heard something on that yesterday but nothing too solid on that rumour.

I don't and never have claimed to have insider information, I don't predict what is gunna happen, I'm not a wannabe reporter who spreads rumours, I'm not interested in being the first to predict a signing, I simply give my opinion on players and the club I support but I do have is common sense, and it's only common sense to me that 1 of europes best prospects does not get sold for Â£8m

An if I made er 30 40 or 50 transfer predictions in pre-season, then I'm sure 1 or 2 atleast would have come true, just law of averages pal

surprise surprise, the fischer deal has "hit a snag" Lol
