I can tell you now 100% Benteke will not be at Villa come the start of the new season.

I can't reveal my source as current Villa player but his squad No has been offered to said player.

Looks like Spurs will finally pay what we want for Benteke and hopefully Lambert will receive the full funds to reinvest in a replacement and a creative midfielder.

Sorry to any of you still holding out in the hope Benteke will stay another season but it just will not happen.

There has been a report today in another London based paper -what a surprise-that Benteke wants the move to Tottingham completed by Thursday as he doesn't want to come back to Villa. I'm not surprised as he is probably too embarrassed to face the manager or the players after his pathetic antics. However, to me, this business shows no sign of being resolved any time soon and certainly not by this Thursday so welcome back Benteke. A big dose of humble pie is going to be in order I should say.

Cant reveal your source, it does not take a rocket scientist to work out benteke won't be at the club, however squad numbers already been given out, so unless you know a new signing that is coming in and he already been given his number then you are well and truly full of s---e.

Wouldn't want him now anyway. Once they slap that request in its never the same. Was hoping benteke would be different and give us another season, but it just shows what footballs all about. Spurs can have him, because when a bigger club comes in he will be off again.

Like I said my source is a current player with Villa and yes No9 is vacated by Bent and I presume No9 will go to Helenius. I presume you don't like the news but to suggest i'm gull of S**T is over the top. Wait and see but unfortunately he will be gone and we can continue to progress under Lambert.
