There are several reports of major owners of various US sport owners now looking at the prem. Could be an opportunity to get rid of Scro. Sorry, Lerner before he strangles the life out of AVFC

If we do not get rid of this Muppet Lambert we are going down for sure

Agree16 Disagree11

I don't understand how anyone thinks anything is going to change just because we get rid of Lambert?

Agree8 Disagree6

So, you don't think a manager has any influence on the team ?
You don't feel that if we had Pep Guardiola or Mourinho in charge we would play better football ?
What are we paying the Lambert for if his absence or presence would not effect the team ?
I don't think you've thought this one through mate

Are we going to get Guardiola or Mourinho? No. Houllier couldn't do the job Mcleish couldn't do the job and neither can Lambert, but who is out there that is above all 3 of those managers who could realistically become our manager? The only people I can think of are David Moyes and Roy Keane (Keane hasn't been very successful as a manager either tbh), Lambert has signed one of the best CBs in the league in Vlaar , bought the best out of Delph, signed one of the best STs in the league in Benteke, 6 losses in a row is unacceptable regardless of the fixtures but we are a 10-15th place team and that's where we are atm with the next 8 or so fixtures being winnable, getting rid of Lambert will not change a thing.

Agree11 Disagree6

Of course we are not signing Guardiola or Mourinho mate
My point is that the manager/coach has a huge effect on how we play.
(you'd hope so with what they get paid)
I just don't see how you separate the two
As for the next 8 fixtures being winnable ????Let's see.
Every fixture looks like a difficult one with this clown in charge

I am reading between the lines here, and get the feeling that Villa could make a move for Wolves winger Bakary Sako.
His contract is up at the end of the season.

Benteke lost us the game yesterday. a complete person in my eyes. you just can't raise your hand in football. not only that. we were trying get him match fit, an now we have lost him for another three very important games ahead.

Aleksandar Tonev has been handed a seven-match ban by the Scottish FA for racially abusing Aberdeen's Shay Logan during a match in September
He was found guilty of breaching disciplinary rule 202: Excessive Misconduct by the use of offensive, insulting and abusive language of a racist nature during September's match. Celtic are appealing the decision.

David Moyes seen in B6

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Sorry Dave, PL signed a new contract only a month ago, chances of him going are way off. Anyway Moyes failed at MU when he had everything going for him, how would he handle a limited situation at VP.

Agree2 Disagree5

I agree and disagree with you Oldvillain
No chance of him coming to us; we are stuck with Lambert
That said I think Moyes would be a step up for us
I think he was on a hiding to nothing at United and I wouldn't say he had everything going for him.

Ferguson knew the party was over and that it would take years to get them back to what they were (if they manage it at all)
Also, Moyes best work, over many years, was at Everton where he was on a similar budget to what we are now yet managed to compete

Hi Oldvillan.

My post should have read David Moyes seen in B6 with wife and family to do some Christmas shopping.
but my browser crashed, HA HA
Still it seems to have woke the site up a bit.
Our mate Ed said give them something to talk about. IT WORKS

Dave, where can you do Xmas shopping in B6? Knew all along that you were in a dream!
