Aston Villa and Everton are part of a growing pack of European sides chasing Polish wonderkid Arkadiusz Milik.

Milik, who has drawn favourable comparisons to free-scoring compatriot Robert Lewandowski, is currently on the books at Gornik Zabrze.

The 18-year-old has already found the back of the net six times in nine league games this season, prompting interest from French club Lyon, who are believed to be the front-runners for his signature.

However, Villa, Everton, Anderlecht, Inter Milan and Udinese are also on his trail, and it seems as though he could be on his way out of Gornik before the start of next season.

Lerner wants performance related pay, he has stated this in the past. This bunch owe us the fans money. So does Lerner as his performance is below par. He loses a manager that is regarded by most as good, but he did spend a lot of Lerners money. He then gets a duff manager that just escapes relegation. Then he gets us another manager from an average club and expects him to be a miracle worker. Players are not hungry enough, they are happy with mediochrity. The players will get Lambert sacked just as they did McLiesh!

So how is it meant to work and how is it going to paid for????

Aston Villa are said to be targeting Stuttgart central midfielder William Kvist in January. The 27 year old Dane has played 33 times for the German club without registering a goal. He possesses more defensive qualities rather than attacking and would cost in the region of £6m.

Really disappointing, sad thing is we looked like went to try and contain Fulham. No real efforts until Benteke miss, when once again he should of at least worked the keeper. This is going to be another long season! It's ridiculous but after only 8 games our next fixture is a 6 pointer, I'm not going to hold my breathe though.

You surely will have to hold your breath. This season will be arduous, it will be right till the end and Villa may not be successful. Face it, Villa are rubbish, no midfield no strikers, no defence. In fact nothing that resembles a football team.

Anyone think the above post about no resemlence of a team is:

c) Mcleish still feeling bad bout being sacked

they have not started that well if swindon knock them out next week !!

We out played Tranmere earlier in this competition and they sit four places above Swindon with a far superior goal difference. Although we are away I don't believe Swindon will cause us to many problems but we do need to find our shooting boots. A good win here will help boost the team's confidence.

Swindon are my local team and I've seen them a few times this year but just seem to play long ball stuff. We'll smash them. And then go on to destroy Norwich which will be my first home game of the year. We can win this cup. C'mon be optimistic UTV

Btw we should really look into signing Charlie Austin although he has a few off field problems. Need a top ball playing cm like Barry and two new wingers

my heart says SWINDON but my head Villa !!
i think villa will be too strong for SWINDON we have ing,s at the moment
but we beat wigan & stoke maybe take them back to villa park

I am a Norwich fan, gutted when P.L. left us, give him time he has a good eye for a young player, I would bet Villa will soon climb the table, ( not until after this weekend I hope !! ) good luck for the rest of the season.

Zaha and Austin for a total of 7mil would be class. Redmond will be cheap when the blues go down. He's probably their best young player

Would be more like Zaha 7 mill, Austin 5 mill and Redmond 5 mill. Personally cant see us getting redmond as we sell to blues they dont sell to us.

i.e. ridgewell, davies, gardner among others.

It's not that they don't sell to us, I believe it's more a case of they've never had anyone we were interested in whereas they will take our fringe players cos they are the blues. They lose

a website say that Villa and Newcastle are both interested in Burnley striker Charlie Austin.

The 23-year-old has 15 goals in 12 games for Burnley and is at least used to playing in claret and blue! Total goals according to another website is 28 in 54.

No offence Villa, but if he leaves would it not be to the mighty Toon? Why join Villa if you boys are gonna get relagated? Still stranger things have happened... ie Moses to Wigan from Palace... now he is at Chelsea, yeah Austin could use you boys as a stepping stone to bigger and better iw Newcastle et al.

Lambert was apparently extremely close to signing Vitesse striker Wilfred Bony on dead line day

Creative mf - holman? ireland? bannan?

Holman, Ireland and Bannan are our creative midfielders, but the main thing we need to do now is to sign quality improving the team and hopefully the new signings will turn quality.

What is going on with Ireland? Hardly the player he once was!
