Herd a wisper pl is trying to steel a march on big gins man u and liverpool by going in in jan for derby midfielder will hughes. The offer of regular first team action could swing a move in our favor.6 million plus add ons i'm hereing and pos one of our young lads on lone.

Believable12 Unbelievable10

Heard a whisper? Everybody has heard a whisper. Do you honestly believe that Hughes will place his future at Villa Park? I would really like to see this happen but sadly, I don't think so.

Agree7 Disagree11

Cant see him walking into any prem first team unless its the lower tier of the prem

Agree9 Disagree2

Hughes has undoubted potential but is by no means the finished article. A few years playing regularly for Villa while he learns his trade would benefit him more than playing in a top six sides reserves. All depends on the fee they would want for him as young British players are notoriously overpriced which is why so many clubs buy from abroad - such as us. Clarrie Blue.

Agree4 Disagree3

Hughes won't be leaving until the end of the season anyway.
Finch

Agree6 Disagree3

Lamberts had a look at jurgen locadia of psv. I can't see why we need another striker though. But he's a quality player

Agree11 Disagree4

We've got enough srikers they just dun;t kow where rhe goal is! lanberk out, randy get the brush lishout seep away the dross in the shirt your money has been wasted on grealish?c'mon people tou all complain about weimann bhe came and scored good goals people on here waxwed lyrical that we. d signed a worldbeater

Does anyone remember a fabulous lyoung left sided centre back alongside ugo and southgate? one gareth barry food for thought?

Ivelin popov deal almost done? Thoughts avfc fans

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Not sure what Popov would be likely to bring to us really. Just another squad player clogging up the dressing room I should think.

Lambert at cska v bayern game?

Believable9 Unbelievable4

So who is he likely to be looking at?

Agree1 Disagree1

Wouldnt have thought it would be a bayern player so i'm guessing tosic or wernbloom? possibly schennikov?

Agree1 Disagree5

Maybe Lambert is trying to convince Honda to come to the prem. He's a free transfer and would be an amazing signing if he could find his old form.

Agree5 Disagree5

Honda already has an arranged transfer to AC its been a done deal for months now

Agree6 Disagree7

Honda hasn't put pen to paper. He can go anywhere ac Milan are struggling this season and he only wanted to go there to play CL football.

Agree4 Disagree3

Yes he has mate, deal agreed, he is AC bound I will put my house on it

I live in Kent and a big story going round is that Gunners will be in for Benteke in January. Apparently Gunners have had him watched on a regular basis, as with most clubs, and will bid in January.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Why exactly does saying it in KENT make it any more true and likely to happen?
The significance escapes me.
If Arsenal have been scouting him for the last few weeks they can hardly have been very impressed if he is going to cost them upwards of 30 million pounds, which he will.
Clarrie Blue.

Agree5 Disagree3

Will be £40millon plus in Jan, which I doubt Arsenal will pay.

Agree7 Disagree2

We are not going to get £40 million plus for benteke I don't know what dreamland your in will be lucky to get 30

Agree4 Disagree4

Well Us (Villa) won't sell then! I doubt you are really a Villa fan, as we will sell on our terms, you forget he signed a new 4 year contract with no release clause. So we hold all the cards! Gunners have pay going rate, World Cup is coming up, he needs to hit top form! Villa have already said will take a MASSIVE bid to make us sell, and it's known that we would be seeing around £40mil plus! :)

Agree6 Disagree1

Doubt that Arsenal or any other big club with pots of money to spend would bid for Benteke if they have watched him lately. Not sure what has gone wrong with him since the injury but he's not the same player.
Some people are saying he isn't getting the service but it's no different to his previous service and that didn't prevent him getting goals. Clarrie Blue.

Agree3 Disagree1

Look at Benteke' record for before Christmas. Every season he scores double the amount of goals in the second half off the season. Roll on January with the Beast upfront!

Agree0 Disagree2

It wasn't a 4 year deal at all. All it was, was a one year deal extendion

Agree2 Disagree1

What? arsenal wth acot on brokenteke ha I he doing I our physior oom?

Reportedly Max Meyer is on his way to Villa in the summer. Villa in much need of an attacking midfielder are look at Meyer as a long term prospect. Apparently will cost around 9.5mil.

Source - Villa scout in germnay

Aloyalvillian

was right about Kozak, unfortunately, hope to be right here

Believable1 Unbelievable5

I thought the days of us paying out fees of that size had gone.
Clarrie Blue.

Agree5 Disagree1

He is very young still and hugely talented so would have thought he will go to dortmund or bayern end of the season not us sadly. think you might have been playing too much football manager my friend we will sign carlos fierro and thiago casasola next!

Agree4 Disagree4

Not going to happen mate. Too good for us more likely to dip into the dutch league again and spend another 3 mil or less

Agree6 Disagree0

Max meyer today signed new contract

Agree1 Disagree3

Just signed a new five-year contract extension, so unlikely to happen unfortunately

Agree2 Disagree1

PL has'nt got a clue, we play three midfielders who just scrap for the ball and have no ability to create anything. he then plays three up front and although benteke is not scoring is the only one with any ability. the other two are nothing but pace, strikers need someone to feed them and that's our problem. if we play benteke and kovak then we need four in the middle and cross the ball in from wide.

Apparently Villa are competing with 3 Russian sides for the signature of Bulgarian Captain Ivelin Popov after failing to sign him in the summer

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Based on the performances of Tonev so far I would give any more Bulgarians a wide berth.
Clarrie Blue.

Agree7 Disagree0

Nice comment clarrie love it

Agree3 Disagree1

Bulgaria are not a world force in foot ball, we can give any more 'potentials' a miss in my opinion.

Agree3 Disagree0

Bit surprised to be honest that Stilyan Petrov recommended Tonev to us so highly.
He obviously saw something in him that has eluded the rest of us.
Clarrie Blue.

Agree2 Disagree1

If you watch him closely Tonev does make some intelligent runs and you can't fault his directness but to shoot evertime you are within 30 yards of goal is ridiculous. Hopefully PL and the rest of the team can weed that out of him because he could be a top player for us

Agree3 Disagree4

In my opinion tonev is a good player he's just a little raw at the moment. Give him a year or so to settle. I hope to see helenius play soon or he will want to leave. Can't see why we signed kozak if we have him attacking mid should of been the priority. But don't get me wrong kozak is a good player in his own right

Agree4 Disagree4

Hopeful balls into the box, do we ant to spend our pocket money watching 1960'footballsrespect to the esrlier poster

Barnetta

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Not heard of this guy where does he play?

Agree1 Disagree3

Tranquillo Barnetta is 28 and belongs to Schalke 04 although he is currently on a seasons loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. Primarily a winger and a Swiss international he can also play in central midfield apparantly.
T o be honest he sounds a lot like Tonev and at 28 he is a little older than the manager usually goes for.
Also, if he is any good why is he currently out on loan?

Agree1 Disagree2

"if he is any good why is he out on loan" amalfitano is out on loan and he's better than the majority of our midfielders

Agree3 Disagree5

Amalfitano? Surely you jest -Not based on his performance against us last night.
Personally he is no more than an average performer who has probably one good game in every six.

Agree4 Disagree2

He played half decent against an out of form Manchester United he's nothing on delph

Agree4 Disagree1

Delph would be incredible if he could pass and shoot because he has everything else in his locker for sure

Agree1 Disagree2

If delph doesn't get a call up to the World Cup and someone like Jordan Henderson or cleverly does I'll be baffled

Agree3 Disagree2

Come on mate although I whole-heartedly agree with u that delph should be in england squad, hodgson will always pick players on name over form or ability and its very sad

Agree3 Disagree1

Huge rumour about to circulate this week regarding the attacking mf we crave being lined up for january think bundesliga

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I see PL lost it? says we can't match Albion in the transfer market look how much he as spent, then look at Albion. It just most of his has been wasted except Benteke bacuna and okore

Agree3 Disagree6

Delph . .

Agree1 Disagree4

Mon bought Delph

Agree8 Disagree0

Westwood, Vlaar and Lowton have all been great transfers

Agree3 Disagree7

Benteke, Okore, Bacuna, Westwood, Vlaar, Lowton there we have SIX great signings made by Mr Lambert who if sold would make considerable profits on what they cost the club in every case.
Admittedly the manager has made one two suspect signings, but which manager hasn't. Even Sir Rednose at Old Trafford bought a few duds. Djemba Djemba anyone?

Agree3 Disagree4

Only Benteke and a fit Okore would sell in the prem the others would not make it in any other prem team

Agree5 Disagree5

Don't know who you are but you certainly talk a lot of twaddle.
Any side from tenth place in the table would take those players and one or two in the top half as well.

Agree2 Disagree4

For some of these players it's been 12 games. Any chance of giving them a fair crack at it before writing them off? Judge them at the end of the season

Agree6 Disagree2

Bacuna has been crap lately and gave away a goal at Albion and both goals at craven cottage

Agree2 Disagree1

Has anybody got any real news on the injury list for Monday? Big game.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Delph and gabby are doubts and okore and Gardner are also out

Agree4 Disagree2

Nikica Jelavic available dunno bout him though?

Good player

Agree0 Disagree4

Jelavic? I honestly would rather have ANY other striker than that useless muppet he is truly awful

Agree2 Disagree1

It's very odd how Jelavic has gone downhill so rapidly. He played very well against us for Rapid Vienna and was excellent in Scotland for Celtic.
Also very good in his early career at Everton but he has suddenly lost it.
Strange really.
Clarrie Blue.

Agree2 Disagree2

He never played for celtic, he played for a very poor rangers team and that's the only reason he got a game

Agree2 Disagree2

My apologies.
Very easy to mix up Rangers with Celtic as they are both rubbish.
Clarrie.

Just herd a rumor that pl is willing to sell brad guzan in jan if a offer of 10 million is put on the table with arsenal said to be interested. Lambert would use the money to bring in forester from celtic for around 4 million and wants to try for wijnaldum for around 8 million. That means uncle randy only finding 2 million which he would be willing to sanction.

Believable1 Unbelievable18

This really is utter rubbish. If Guzan is worth 10 million then Forster is not going to be bought for only 4 million.
Go back to sleep and dream again.

Agree10 Disagree2

Forster is around 4 mil imo. And guzan is 8 mil +

Agree5 Disagree2

There once was a guy called kingvilla,
whos lies were so bad they could kill ya,
his rumours are dreamed up,
its makes us so steamed up,
come back when u have something realer!

Agree10 Disagree2

As a Norwich Fan I can see there may be a bit of substance to this rumor, even if King Vila is full of s**T. Lambert had Forster on loan at Norwich and IMO he is a top class keeper, he is one of those players that Lambert has the ability to push up a level and really get the best out of. I must also admit IMO Guzan is among the top 6 keepers in the premiership.

Agree3 Disagree3

They would be two very good signings. Wijnaldum is a playmaker, and Forster is a goalkeeper, who has clean sheets in almost half of the matches that he has played so far, which is what Lambert is looking for.

Agree2 Disagree3

Clean sheets against the likes of aberdeen and dundee what an achievement! forster is rubbish especially when compared to big brad!

Agree5 Disagree2

Villa linked with mousa dembele. Would be a good signing I would think.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

More chance of McGrath coming out of retirement
(I'd play him ahead of Clark to be fair)

Agree8 Disagree5

Wouldn't pay his wages, we can only dream

Agree6 Disagree3

Mousa dembele of fulham maybe, never the spurs one. where on earth did u hear this rubbish?

Agree2 Disagree5

15 Nov 2013 19:39:27
Wilfried zaha loan verbal agreement reached for jan?

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Would be a decent loan for both villa and zaha. I think Lambert would get the best out of him. He's a young player and I think going to a young team would suit him.

Agree4 Disagree2

Would only fit our 433 formation and even then I'd still rather play weimann

Agree7 Disagree7

Think you'll find Zaha will be going to Newcastle in January on loan for the rest of the season.

Agree2 Disagree11

Lambert has always said he won't loan players. So why would he start now! unless United are selling Zaha not loaning him - there is no story there mate

Agree6 Disagree2

We took Dawkins on loan last year.
I don't see that we have much choice other than to use the loan market
Randy clearly isn't going to invest any more than he believes he really has to
He's playing a dangerous game

Agree5 Disagree2

Ha. Lambert refuses to loan players! People on the site make me laugh. If he refuses to loan then what was Simon Dawkins

Agree4 Disagree2

Wouldn't like to see that unless we can buy him. I don't want another Kyle walker on our hands. Tom ince would do well for us but I can't see it happening as he's overpriced. Hopefully lambo and his scouting team have a few lined up for January so it won't be as boring as last year

Agree3 Disagree1

Iv heard the loan signing will be Dempsey not zaha

Finch

Agree4 Disagree4

Dawkins was more of a confidence boost signing, that Villa wanted a fresh face more than anything. Lambo learnt his lesson on doing that - that is was a waste of money.

Agree2 Disagree1

We don't want Dempsey. He turned us down before without even having the courtesy to speak to Lambert because we were apparantly not good enough for him.
I don't deny we could do with a little experience in the side but definitely not him.

Agree5 Disagree1

Zaha isn't french thus will NOT be going to newcastle

From the rumours page we see that Red Bull could be interested in buying out Randy Lerner.

As we are approaching the time of fairies and fantasy, let us dream that it be true. Who would we want as manager? Would we want VP renamed Red Bull Stables?

Also how many of the current squad would still be in the team? I don't see any player that would still be in the squad.
Colours would not be problem as Red Bull's traditional colours are near enough to our Claret and Blue.

Then buy your dream team, remember that money is only mildly a question but a budget set is £250,000000, and you have at least 18 players to buy. Make the right selections and your dreams may come true. You could be manager of Aston Villa FC.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

We could be the Red Bull Ring!

Agree4 Disagree3

13 Nov 2013 21:06:42
Avfc and red bull rumours surfacing again possible naming rights on stadium?

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Not going to happen unless they put up £150m and they ain't doing that.

We are stuck with Lerner for better or worse but I can dream of

Luis Muriel
Roberto Fiirmino
Praet
Maher

Agree3 Disagree4

The takeover will happen in my opinion and gerrard will be back at the villa as a bored member. This will all be done and fumds I place for the jan window where I see 2 big players come in to help our kids out then a big shake up and spend next summer.

Agree2 Disagree8

Sorry this is simply not going to happen. Forget the fantasy we will be a middle of the road going nowhere club until Randy sells up! Only fear is we may get relegated in the meantime

Agree3 Disagree5

LOL
God Bless ya Kingvilla
You never fail to bring a smile to my face

Agree6 Disagree3

I thought you had retired kingvilla, looking forward to gerrard being on the board, possibility of player manager?

Agree3 Disagree5

Just to make clear i'm talking about gerrard houllier on the bored not steven gerrard. I have not herd anything more than a rumor and only a small chance this deal will happen but in my opinion it will as randy has lost interest and does not want to invest anymore and would welcome £120 million and run. Pl would also be replaced as manager with redbull wanting a high profile name. Arsene wenger would be there man.

Agree1 Disagree4

From a very reliable contact within Villa Park, Diogo Viana is due to sign for a January transfer. The talented Portuguese winger is due for a medical before the Christmas period, but this one will most likely be kept on the low down until the window opens. Very exciting prospect and a very similar player to the well loved Simao.

Academy_coach_AV

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Why would Lambert buy another winger. We need a centre back and playmakers.

Agree7 Disagree3

Playmaker is key. I would rather play donecien than waste money. Okore will be back next season anyway so where will that leave him? We just need an exciting number ten. And maybe a couple of wingers so we can try different formations

Agree5 Disagree2

Lambert has N'Zogbia & Albrighton, as well as Gabby. As much as having another winger would be good, a central attacking midfielder is key. We look good enough in defence in my view.

Agree3 Disagree4

Gabby is not a winger
I'll be amazed if Albrighton ever plays for us again and N'Zogbia is hugely inconsistent and at times uninterested.
I agree that central midfield is more important but it's not because we have an abundance of quality wide players at our disposal

Agree5 Disagree5

We don't use wingers. Before anyone crops up gabby and Weimann play left and right forward

Agree3 Disagree4

I think its last chance saloon for albrighton who has to step up to the plate on loan. Personally would like to see him force his way back into the squad being one of our own. Good luck to the lad. Cud do with more natural width makin sure plenty of balls get whippped into the big lads. Agree that nzogbias days are numbered. A dangerous young winger would help us kick on. Not a direct replacement for gabby/weiman but gives Lambert more options. Tonev needs more time to settle in. Can see Lambert biding his time over number 10 and using most of next summer's budget to land a real quality player

Agree1 Disagree2
