Villa have signed 16 year old very highly rated defensive midfielder Jordan Lyden from ECU Joondalup, the same club where the likes of Chris Herd and Shane Lowry were from.

Villa are tipped to make an enquiry with Celtic for Victor Wanyama this Jan, unless they want 'stupid' money seems realistic. Joe Allan and Mark van der Maarel are other names being mentioned. {Ed007's Note - They want 'stupid' money for Wanyama, I can't see him at AV, sorry.}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Maybe we can go for his brother instead! feels like we've be linked to him every window for the last few years, clearly not wanted at Inter. {Ed007's Note - I think he is at Parma....?}

Agree5 Disagree0

Joe Allen? That's a joke, right?

Agree17 Disagree0

Now heard on the radio Holt from norwich city being linked

Agree2 Disagree7

Why would he go to a club going down. LOL

Agree6 Disagree8

We're signing Jozy Altidore not this lot

Agree4 Disagree9

It think you are on about McDonald mariga at inter absolute class player would probably come for 2 mil. Would add some much needed height and bite to the first team

Agree5 Disagree1

Would be nice to get altidore big strong lad only 20-21 I think but seems like he's been about for years

Aston villa are intrested in a loan bid for liverpool midfielder Joe Cole in the january transfer window.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Personally, I'd like that to happen but his wages would be a big problem for us

Agree9 Disagree9

A young hungry player desperate to prove himself, should fit in well with Lamberts plans........

Agree9 Disagree5

Can't see this one happening , gents, I went past supposedly Darren bents house today near Solihull 6th form college and there were 2 removal vans there!, not sure if its his house tbh but you never know

Agree1 Disagree7

So you presume to know where Darren Bent lives, assert that you are not sure though, and see removal vans outside a house in that general area? This is not a rumour - more evidence that people engage in all sorts of mindless gossip without facts.... still it explains alot about the so called jounalists who make a living out of this... at least you were honest and did not hide your doubts?!

Agree7 Disagree1

I thought Bent lived in cambridge as i am sure that is where he was spotted on a shopping trip

Agree2 Disagree7

Apparently there is a rumour circulating on a Partizan Belgrade forum that a current fan-favorite is due to switch to Villa Park after being scouted, no idea who though?

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Could be Kamara, a defensive mid. Spurs are said to be interested too.

Agree6 Disagree4

Would be happy with that, could be our own Cheick Tiote, desperately need a DM

Agree6 Disagree2

Ed, is there any truth about Harry at QPR wanting to sign bent in Jan? An if true does anyone else think it'll be madness to sell him to a team in the same relegation fight we are in!? Scg87 {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

Agree13 Disagree1

Bent isn't leaving. Lambert will probably get the sack if he sells "the postman".
Weimann,Gabby & Benteke are all playing well, But we lack the finish.
I wouldn't be suprised to see Benteke or Gabby on the bench to face QPR & Bent in the first team.
Its a case of tough love for Bent right now!

Agree4 Disagree10

Tough love?? Lol. Bent isn't even getting on the bench! If it was a case of 'tough love' then putting him on the bench would surfice, an bent won't be staying at AV if PLs tough love carries on much longer. An no way should we sell to QPR or any teams around us, I can see him leaving though.

An it wouldn't surprise me if it was Lerner putting pressure on PL not to play bent because it would cost the club a few million more if he plays 3 more game, not to mention it would suit RL if bent did leave as it would get him of the wage bill

Agree11 Disagree0

I think bent will be back in the team as soon as there is a injury or a suspension, then the person who is out will have to fight for his place back! I think it is the way to go, and if bent doesnt belive in it then he will go and transfre funds will be boosted for a replacement ! ASTON VILLA HAS TO COME 1ST ALL THE TIME !!! up the villa !!!!

Agree1 Disagree6

Having bent in a matchday squad is what's best for villa!

Agree8 Disagree1

Bent on the bench vs QPR.
I think he's understand that he can not get a game every match.
And I have proved you all right yet again with tough love.

23-year-old Saint-Etienne striker Pierre Aubameyang

21-year-old Maribor striker Robert Beric. See

Bordeaux midfielder Yoan Gouffran:

Believable7 Unbelievable12

How do know????? dreamer.we have no money till we sell bent and maybe dunne he can lightin the wage bill.

Agree7 Disagree4

No , We have January funds & the left over's of the summer funds.
We're talking maybe £30m - £40m.

Agree3 Disagree13

Doubt we would signed 3 strikers? we need wingers, and defenders

Agree6 Disagree3

How do u no. and who wud want sign for us as we are not getting results. 2 wins for 12 is relegation form.

Agree5 Disagree3

Because that is who we are LINKED with in the paper.

Agree4 Disagree5

Totally disagree, he will want to try and prove his worth at Villa, but I don't think he will be in charge come January, the Sack loomes, things happen in three's.

Agree4 Disagree6

Lerner won't sack Lambert.
Lambert is doing a great job with the resources he was given!
RL will back Lambert in January & we'll be a middle table club again come the summer & we might even teach the Baggies who's the best in the midlands!

LambertMyLord

Agree15 Disagree9

Wake up. lambard my lord!! what sort of fan are you? he has done nothing yet for the club....

Dont belive everything u read in the papers. we need a new chairman and backroom staff. they are employing the wrong manager each time. they have 2 go to many mistakes

Agree7 Disagree10

Well , then you are really bad at supporting your team.
You'll see I was right to never doubt how things are changing soon enough!.

LambertMyLord

Agree8 Disagree5

Dream on LambertMyLord. Villa are going down this season unless you get a decent striker to partner Benteke as Bent is awful. Also, you need some defenders.
Enjoy the Championship!
From BaggieBoy

Agree4 Disagree8

Bent (102 EPL goals) , Agbonalahor (lightning quick) & Weimann (upcoming top Austrian striker).
Baggies will be back down the pan next season , trust!

Agree8 Disagree1

£30m-£40m in jan??? Lmfao!!!!!!
Someone has been smoking crakkkkkk :)

Just an update:
As predicted West Brom are crumbling apart now BaggieBoy.
Plenty of time for you to get relegated!

LambertMyLord

Agree1 Disagree0

Lambert is going knowhere..we are just starting to turn things around, benteke and weiman are starting to link up great, bent has to stay all the best teams have more than 1striker than can score, there is is a thing called rotation, all players can see what lambert wants to do..we have a great young squad dat will only improve wit experience,a defender and defensive midfielder and creative midfielder needed, lescott could be on his way out city butdey could be looking for 2 much and his wages be too much...hudldlstone be nice addition or james mccarthy from wigan...in lambert we trust time to gt behind the team villa till i die...

Lambert pursuing a move for 23 yr old centre back from hull fc James Chester

Believable3 Unbelievable7

He's a good player I think if united didn't have evans they would of kept him, either way he wouldn't be a bad acquisition

where is charles nzogbia? is he injured or droped from the squad? those any1 no?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

INJURED!

Agree2 Disagree1

Injured his knee ligaments back on December the first

Agree2 Disagree3

Personally cant wait till he and gardner are back to give us more depth. Quality players that will improve the team once back to full fitness.

Agree2 Disagree4

Gardner been very unlucky, I really hope he fulfils his potential Nzogbia should be sold

Darren Bent to move to Liverpool in January as Paul Lambert doesn't see him in his plans.

Lambert to use the money made with the Bent transfers to sign Stewart Downing (Liverpool) on loan, Johnny Russell (Dundee United), Matias Suarez (Anderlecht) and Michael Dawson (Tottenham)

Believable4 Unbelievable15

Lambert has made it clear Bent will be a Villa player at the end of January.
Liverpool still owe us £10m for Downing who will NEVER be accepted back as a Villa player.
And thirdly, Lambert says he has depth & now is looking at quality not the rubbish you are linking us with!

Agree7 Disagree6

Lambert has a habit of saying one thing but mean another, Arn't you glad you robbed him away from Norwich.

Agree5 Disagree5

I think we will need to go balls out for 2 10m players in January. That is best spent abroad as the UK market proves that 10m buys very little.

Agree2 Disagree3

Heard from norwich source lambert signing morrison and fox

Benteke's come out trying to move to his dream club Aresenal....
I wouldn't mind but hes only been at villa 2 and a half months so it takes the piss just a little so he'll be off in the summer or the jan after {Ed002's Note - Actually I think you will find all he said is that he is an Arsenal supporter.}

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Stop joining the bandwagon of taking harmless quotes and turning them into a load of rubbish. Actually read the quotes and not what journalists put with the quotes if you want the truth. Especially ignore the titles, that's just trying to get hits + sell papers, hardly ever the truth transfer story wise just from the title.

Agree9 Disagree3

The report was done in french & was misinterpretation. He's a Villa player & he's not joining Arsenal & if he did go , he'd cost them about £30m i bet!

Agree6 Disagree8

And what do you put in night time co co then

Agree3 Disagree4

30m now who needs to wobble his head

Duisburg goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald is a reported target of Aston Villa as the future of Shay Give remains shrouded in mystery.

The 22-year-old is now in the final year of his current contract with German outfit Duisburg and will be available for a compensation figure next summer or possibly a cut-price fee in January.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Robbie Keane is set for another loan spell at Villa Park.
Shay Given looks set to be heading to Celtic in January!LambertMyLord

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Local paper in Ireland says Robbie is off to Norwich on loan. {Ed007's Note - At this moment in time Given has absolutely nothing to offer CFC, and vice-versa.}

Agree3 Disagree1

Do Celtic need Given? They have Forster lol. Scg87

Aston Villa are thought to be keen on signing 21-year-old Maribor striker Robert Beric, according to .

Beric has caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides, as well as Italian outfit Napoli, after a number of eye-catching displays in Maribor's Europa League campaign.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Do we need any more strikers- Bent, Agbonlahor, Benteke, Weimann and Delfouneso when he comes back from loan?

Agree5 Disagree8

No , we need a winger & defenders.

Agree8 Disagree1

Fonz needs more games under his belt he will be loaned again next season I reckon. 2 goals in however many games isnt gd enough to be startin for villa.

Agree4 Disagree2

Ye needs a good year in the championship he's class on his day but to inconsistent. Mon's fault for not loaning him out when he was younger

Agree3 Disagree1

Also apart from mcleish when all our strikers were injured, all past managers up to o'neil have played him on the wing. {Ed003's Note - he isn't good enough,he is frustrating one of those players you know has it but doesn't do it! 'Appy might make me eat my words}

Agree3 Disagree1

Well ed we play differently under lambert and it may suit the fonz

Aston Villa scouts are reported to have been watching Porto centre back Abdoulaye Ba against Dynamo Kiev last night, according to the Daily Mail.

The Champions League encounter ended 0-0 with the Porto defence providing a solid display and Ba will have certainly highlighted his ability with the performance.

It is reckoned that the 21-year-old Senegalese international is available on loan in January.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Aston villa in talks with tottenham to loan emmanuel adebayor good decision or not?

Striker Aubameyang came through the ranks at Serie A giants AC Milan, but managed just two league outings in three years at the San Siro.

He spent a year on loan at Saint-Etienne before signing permanently in December 2011.

The 23-year-old, who netted 10 league goals last term, has started this season in scintillating form, scoring seven in 11 including the decisive strike in his side's impressive 2-1 win at league leaders Paris St-Germain last weekend.

Roma have been monitoring the Gabon international for the best part of the last year, but Aston Villa are believed to have stepped up their interest in recent weeks and could make a move if the unsettled Darren Bent leaves Villa Park in January.

The doom mungers are abit quiet this week nothing to moan about, we done martin ova n 3 points we really needed.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

The only three points you will get this side of Christmas, and they were with help from an old friend of your boss, going down mate.

Agree4 Disagree4

Wake up man!! we are building a good young team. what rival club do u support? i think you should concentrate on them and get off our website. remember sunderland is tough place 2 go, we went there and got 3 points. bring on utd. up the villa!!

Agree4 Disagree1

I'm not ur mate, and why are you on the villa page yet again. Surely you have something to talk about on your own club page. Or do just wanna become a villa fan?

Agree2 Disagree0

Why are the fans of other clubs trolling on the villa page, what a paper hat u really are

Agree2 Disagree1

They look at our club page because they want to be us because they can see the rampage of the lions is back! ;)

Agree1 Disagree1

Not many pundits offering 3 points against Man Utd tomorrow, but advise fans to take a brolley as it will be raining goals in the home net

Aston Villa are already looking at replacements for Darren Bent - and are ready to chase Saint-Etienne striker Pierre Aubameyang.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Good get him out i say he just isn't hungry like the others fair enough he is quality but wilfred bone will be the one coming in the hottest striker in Holland at the minute but he still needs service. I just hope pl sticks with the 4 3 3 he played at sunderland the next 3 games have already been written off by sum 4 points i reckon

Agree4 Disagree3

This is not looking like the type of player Lambert would sign himself, think this is Lerner and Faulkner giving the orders here

Agree1 Disagree3

Spurs friend of mine said Lambert is being targeted as a replacement AVB is more clueless thier than at Chelsea. Lambert could be on his way before Christmas

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Mate you are speakin out your hole there's no way he's gonna join the people mate he's started the job and you can see he's buildin for the future benteke lowton westwood and ask for Vlaar he has been imense and ok the results haven't been great but once he gets rid of bent in Jan he can get 2 good wingers a centre half and defensive mid who I'd like to see and who pl will go for is another thing goufran feghouli and Dawson would be brilliant

Agree4 Disagree3

Sounds highly unlikley, however if a better offer comes along Lambert will be gone. Just look at his past, Colchester and Norwich. Unless he sees Villa as a bigger club than Spurs that is.

Agree3 Disagree5

Just remember he has walked out on every club he's managed, someone waves a carrot he's gone, he holds no loyalty to anyone but his bank account.

Agree5 Disagree1

This is his project tho and his chance to make a serious name for himself he's buying young and he'll do the job we just need little bit more quality out wide to open teams up and we won't be far away fair play to the lads there giving 100 percent every game and its all down to Lambert

Agree3 Disagree5

Wake up! what are you talking about? who starts this crap? if thats the case lambert 2 spurs and redknaap 2 villa. pockcie rumors.

Agree6 Disagree2

Lambert needs to prove himself as a top manager by igniting the sleeping giant of Aston Villa F.C.
Spurs can Spur away because Lambert My Lord is Villa's.

Agree3 Disagree4

Not doing to well at the moment are you
