Right I will be shot down here and people will say more kingvilla bull. BUT I belive we are very close to a new owner. The man concerned is hasan ismaik. It has been put about he is in talks with 2 prem clubs I belive to be us and westbrom and 2 championship I believe to be wolves and Leeds. I've herd we have been in talks with this man for a couple of months now and the takeover process is well down the road and close. I've been told that lerner wants it kept hush hush until done due to collapsed deals over summer. That's also where the new chairman and board member comes in soon as been put about as will be new owner. Hasan himself as said a week ago he could be 3 weeks away from a takeover of a club. The guy is very ambitious and is worth about 2 billion dollars at mo but you look deeper and his construction company has just agreed a 40 billion deal in Egypt of which he will pocket around 8 billion so he's got money and wants to build a club. He already owns 1860 Munich but is looking to put full backing in English club due to rules on owners in Germany limiting what he can spend and do. Hence can not fully own a club in Germany and have full control. I've been told we are 2 weeks away from a deal being compete.

I hope to god you are right, but with the state of play we are in, and with the wealth staying in the top flight will give, and our obvious predicament, and so many false dawns over the past 2 seasons, excuse me if I don't hold my breath.

However, this is one occasion where I hope I'm wrong!

31 Dec 2015 15:57:26
Flakie and king villa I really hope so as it's needed and then even when and if we're relegated we dust off and start a fresh.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Dec 2015 16:34:04
Hope the guy gets us on the cheap, Lerners fault if he does when West Brom and Watford have a bigger net spend than us in the summer, WE ARE ASTON VILLA! He's taking us to where Leeds, Sheff Wednesday and God forbid where Pompey are, got nothing against Garde but Big Sam woulda been the man to get us out of this mess, wouldn't have been pretty but at least we'd have a clean slate under a new owner whenever that happens. If we stay up it'll be a miracle but lessons are going to need to be learnt, if we go down and Lerners still in charge, we're screwed, there's no fight in that team.

I think there is no confidence, but I do think there is fight, 45 mins against Arsenal, 90 mins man city, and West Ham showed that.
However, we need a team spirit like Leicester, as their team is better than the sum of there parts.
We, the playing staff, the fans, management need to believe.
It's us against the world.
We don't have the best playing staff, in skill and ability.
We have the worse owner.
But, we have the best fans.

We need results to go our way for 4 weeks, four games.

A win would change the whole impetus, feeling and ethos.
We need a clean sheet, and a scrappy goal!

Remember, we are not down until there is an r next to our name!!
Records are there to be broken!!
Believe people!!

I still do. (Nearly!!)

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Dec 2015 17:32:09
If the rumours of a new owner are true then it doesn't matter if we go down. players will come for the money. They don't really care what league they are in. its about pound notes. he has the money apparently so we will walk the championship. Full houses every week straight back up. villa are back lovely jubilee.

Agree1 Disagree1

31 Dec 2015 18:06:15
Realistically who do you think we need and could actually get? I'm hearing Remy, Debuchy on loan, that would be sweet, then we'd have to buy anywhere else we need to strengthen unless it's free transfers I think, correct me if I'm wrong? Still don't know what Kozaks done wrong? Any chance of recalling Baker back? He has his faults but he's a warrior imo, is Cissoko back/ coming back? Time for Traore to be let loose too, at least his 1st instinct is to attack? Draws are no good to us now, we need to win, if we lose 3-0, 4-0, doesn't really matter, think the fans would get right behind the team if we at least looked like we were trying? My gut feeling is that we're gone, if somehow we manage to stay up, things have got to change big time

something needs to change. crystal palace getting investment. surely we are a bigger club? still think kozak should be given a chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jan 2016 12:10:53
As Lerner has stuffed us by lack of investment any buyer knows that they will have to put up well over £100m just to keep us still.
If they want us to stay in the prem then £200m is a realistic figure.
However if the yank sticks out for his £150/ 200m then the total investment will be nearer £500m. Yes £500000000.
There are stories about that a prospective buyer is in the market but there are better options than AVFC, even the Baggies are more attractive.
If Lerner still plays hard ball then we have little chance of a serious invester arriving.
Lerner must cut his losses and go.
In business terms your first loss is always the least loss.
C'mon Randy, play fair with us, the supporters of one of the greatest clubs in the UK and football history and reduce your price.

Ed, It was reported in Australia a few weeks ago that AV were interested in you Australian international Aaron Mooy. Now that his club (Melbourne City) is part of the "city group" and rather rutheless with money, has the interest dwindled?

The guys an amazing for 24 and I think a good fit for Villas midfield.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It seems very unlikely at best.

Melbourne's Aaron Mooy has been subject of declared interest from Al-Nassr, Watford and Feyenoord with Schalke 04 also known to have been watching him. The club has no interest in selling at this time.}

28 Dec 2015 17:18:48
I'm being told that loic remy to villa is a done deal on loan for rest of season and he is not in Chelsea squad today. Apparently he's injured! He will be a help but we need about 4 more of his quality.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

28 Dec 2015 17:42:45
We need 2 strikers, 2 midfielders and at least 2 defenders and still that wouldn't be enough. But who in their right mind is going to come to a club as bad as us. Don't want mercenaries to come.

28 Dec 2015 18:02:17
defence wise we definatly need a lb and we could do with a rb.

I would first do my best to sell Guzan (£3m), Agbonlahor (£3m), Steer (£2m), Senderos (£10k), Richardson (£10k), Gil (£7,5m) and N'Zogbia (£4,5m), a total of £20020000. And I would go for a GK (Kalinic), a CB (Matip), a RW (Ben Arfa) and two strikers (Austin and Depoitre) .

10K for Richardson is very optimistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - unless this is the prices to pay to get someone to take them? Though I would think you might need to double it to get someone to take Guzan off your hands. £3m is nowhere near enough to take him, he makes Simon Mignolet look like Manuel Neuer.}

30 Dec 2015 09:03:09
£10,000 for Richardson?

28 Dec 2015 11:26:58
Various reports, including those from South Africa and Algeria, suggest that Aston Villa, Everton and Marseille are the first clubs to express interest in the South African goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.

In the summer of 2015, Khune had signed a 5 year contract extension with Soweto based Kaizer Chiefs. The R470000 a month contract (£20000+-) had never left the goalkeeper content. Notoriously admiring interest from clubs from Denmark, Portugal and Spain (July 2015), Khune still has his heart set on a European move.

This may be in the best interest of European clubs, as the South African Rand has plummeted in value, Khune's fee and wages would be minimal considering the ability and acclaim he has been known to receive.

I agree, Simbrenn. Good thing that Garde sees this. But he needs to change his tactics too. For example stop using Veretout as a DM when he is a CM and stop using Sinclair as ST when he is LW and also stop using Gueye as CM when he is DM.
And I believe that it is better if he used a 4-4-2 attacking formation or a 4-1-2-1-2 attacking formation instead of the 4-3-2-1 defensive formation that he has been using.

david dein being linked with being the new villa chairman don't know if it would make a difference but i heard he is the man they want to guide villa back into the premier league if we do go down also 100 per cent lerner is not selling villa he's learned he can make more money villa being a yow yow club than if they stayed up Parachute Payments mean if villa go down they will get money 4 four years on top of normal premier league money if we go straight back up! Other news gabby agbonlahor been seen at arsenal christmas party is true he's good friends with wilkshire but he wasnt drinking and it was after the villa arsenal game! 1 last question people do you think as home fans we get behind our team enough i know we do away but home games are we part of the reason we are poor at home reason i ask a guy on radio wm came on an said the fans don't support the team enough is he wrong or right?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - utter nonsense. Parachute payments stop if you win promotion, they are only paid while teams are outside of the top flight. They are also only a percentage of the amount a team could earn while in the Prem. There is no way of earning more from being a yoyo club.}

15 Dec 2015 21:44:28
Watching QPR v BHA and can't help but wonder if Charlie Austin could save us if Scrooge would open his purse to save our club.
Would he come to AVFC?
Personally I don't think we could get a result against either of these teams.
Quick, direct, one touch, running onto the ball and getting the ball in the box early.
Players owning the ball, wanting the ball. No messing at the back, clearing the ball, great to watch.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

16 Dec 2015 18:02:36

{Ed001's Note - his contract is up at the end of the season, why would QPR loan him out?}

15 Dec 2015 08:43:01
Major morning daily says that Garde prepared to sell Gabby to get some transfer funds.
That should give us enough to buy a new ball for the next match.
Sorry Gabby but you have slipped down the order and will find it hard to find a prem. club that is willing to take a chance.

07 Jan 2016 22:09:45
FLackie I think you're right but we need to act very quickly! We need the right players in the right positions asap, and forget about playing pretty Arsenal style football, we need a battle plan in the old skool English long ball style. My worry is that Remi doesn't understand that style, and that's exactly why he is the wrong manager at this time. He needs to get the message and fast because I for one believe we can do it! Come on Villa!

10 Dec 2015 04:09:10
Right update from my pal at vp trainings gone well charles nzogbia an jack grelish have both bein doing extra training staying a hour over to impress an try an get back in the team! January there is money to spend as lerner has told remi garde that he can pick what players can come in within reason an iam been told lerner does have the clubs best intrests at heart just he keeps getting let down by people giving him advice. He watches every game an rings up remi garde after games to talk. 1 other news in training all week they have bein working on shape so looks like garde might have a plan to stop arsenals brilliance! Delighted with the facup draw hopfully we can win an gain confidence! Laters you villa legends UTV.

07 Dec 2015 16:36:07
I don't have any friends in exclusive places with relatives in positions of confidence but is Lerner going to allow Garde any money to bring in players?
Rumours that seem to be about are that there is nothing on the table.
He has little history in generosity and is really the culprit in our current situation.
Has anyone a rumour of substance that Garde will get funds to improve the squad?
We need defensive full backs, not wing backs and someone that knows where the goalposts are without having to use a sat nav.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

07 Dec 2015 22:06:39
we are now too far off the bottom two, 6 points now, so why would Lerner sanction any spending when we're relegated. the best we can hope for is a cpl of loans, but same again who would want to enter a relegation battle with us!

Agree0 Disagree3

07 Dec 2015 22:42:37
Are we already relegated then??
Ffs grow a pair, join the fight, or sit and moan in the corner.

Agree2 Disagree2

08 Dec 2015 14:05:30
Oh djb, we are not relegated.
The outlook is dire and Lerner is aware that HIS prize money is going to disappear if he does not fund the manager that HIS men recruited.
Lerner has made a laughing stock of our football club but he is greedy and if he wants to fuel his assets then he will have to cough up.
I only wish we could turn the clock back to when he refused to back ONeil, or further back when Deadly sold to him on the promise that " he is the right man to take us forward"
We are stuck between the rock and the hard place. We need a new owner but Lerner will not accept a price that reflects his inadequate ownership.

Agree3 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 18:35:42
Totally agree but just can't see us getting out of this hole as for growing a pair! I go home and away and support our club all the way but I'm just being realistic not moaning just stating my views on the fact I feel were too far off now if I'm wrong I will get flakie tattooed on my ass lol.

08 Dec 2015 19:27:57
Haha!
Spell it right when you do! But I don't need a pic!!

I wasn't having a go at you as such, and looking back, perhaps it was harsh.
My point is, we have so many 'fans' who seem to revel in our demise, that only post negative, pointless, dribble.
There is a permanent negativity towards the club, team, the situation, and us as supporters.

Yes, being honest, and truthful, we are rubbish!
And on form deserve to go down.

So does that mean we give up now, not try to turn it round?
I don't think so. Surely we need to start here?.
We are not relegated until it's impossible to turn it round. And we can.
We don't quite need a miracle, yet, but we do need to believe, have faith, and a unity that says it's us against the world.

It starts with us, as I said, your either a fighter, or your not.

I know what camp I'm in!

I love this club but i must say how much are we suppose to take as fans? Another player linked recently is michael keane burnley are these the guys suppose to keep us up?
