This would be my first 11 imo:

Given
Hutton Collins Dunne Warnock
Albrighton Petrov Bannan Nzogbia
Agbonglahor Bent

I think a pacey full back and a pacey right winger and AV would have a pretty good team imo, and this is coming from an Arsenal fan

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Yh huttons got a bit of pace but he is rubish he is always to far up field and almost always out of position which lead to uniteds goal on saturday i wud never have bought him we can get so much better

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have stumped up the 10 mil for walker and not bought nzogbia. Then again hindsight is a wonderful thing

Can someone go on the Sunderland page and put them straight about Martin O'Neil.
They think he is a god, and their saviour in waiting!

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Your just bitter because you know O'Neil was the best thing to happen to Villa in a longtime, he turned us into a top 6 club....now look at us, a dead duck!

so nearly half way through the season and we are lying in 8th with 4 of the top 5 sides to play up next,if im honest i think we ll lose the 4 of them and we will go into the new year placed around 14th.

+s so far
given
gabby
herd
delph

negs
the whole back 4
n zogbia
bent(but not totally his fault as we aint getting the ball to him)

i do think there will be some comings and goings and
we are being linked with a player called issiar dia who can play anywhere across the frontline and is a real hand full so id be really happy with that

should be going-

beye looks done
ireland just has not done it
petrov is slowley falling down the pecking order
guzan just aint good enough
heskey will stay till the summer unfortunatlly

linked to come in -

dia fenebatche 7mil
defoe loan
kranjar 3 mil
r keane 3 month loan
hoillett 8 mil (unless kean is sacked) not sure why as i believe delph, herd, gardener, bans and jenas are all as good
think we may get 1 of the above and thats it

so my team end of the transfer window will be 4 5 1

********given*********
hutton dunne clark warnock
********delph*********
***jenas*****banhan***
nzogbia**********gabby
********BENT********

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Would say bannan is a plus. I come from Scotland and i think that Bannan is our best player. Against Lithuania the stadium absolutely erupted as he was taken off, and he got a standing ovation. A brilliant wee player

I am a Sunderland season ticket holder and I come in peace. Seriously I respect you club, like my own a great past history and a great support. A question I put to you more serious and intelligent fans is this:
What was your opinion of Martin O'Neill,s management style and tactics. I am an admirer of his mangement career and if our lot decide to get rid of Bruce M O would be my choice to replace. Can i haver some opinions please Many Thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable1

O neill is a fantastic manager when it comes to tactics and building a team not many better at that aspect of running a club in my opinion. However my one and only critiscism of o neill is the wasting of money on players like steve sidwell, habib beye, emile heskey , curtis davies etc . If sunderland are willing to spend cash to appease o neills desire to sign players then yes if he becomes your manager it will be a great move by your club.

Agree2 Disagree0

Thanks for that. Good luck[but not against us]

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that and good luck [except against SAFC]

Alex Mcleish knows what he is doing.

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Last night cemented the fact that he does not!

Agree7 Disagree0

The most boring team in the prem fact last night was pityfull

Agree6 Disagree0

Alan hutton in midfield says it all i believe we need to ask santa for a decent manager.

Agree4 Disagree1

I just don't understand why we havnt seen a full youth movement at villa. Collins should be dropped, with Clarke replacing him. Petrov should be dropped with Gary Gardner inserted in the line up next to Bannan. Herd can play RB replacing mutton......and when Lichaj returns pies Warnock right off once and for good.

If we are not going to challenge top 8 we might as well get something from the season by blooding some young talent

Agree3 Disagree0

Alex Mcleish is not brave enough ,but imo the right way to go !

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with all your points about mcleish being a terrible manager who cannot build a team and deploy the correct tactics. However , chris herd ,lichaj and bannan being first teamers i disagree with. Bannan shows promise but is too hot and cold, herd i think also shows some promise in the tackles he makes , but his decision making is awful and lichaj failed to impress at leeds so i don't think warnock has anything to worry about.

In my opinion alan hutton is an awful player ,you cannot play heskey at this level anymore and gary gardner should be in the starting line up let alone being shipped off to coventry for a month (especially december which in terms of fixtures is when we will need a player of his creative talent against the better teams in the league). Nzogbia doesnt deserve a start but on the other hand why he doesnt allow stephen ireland to try and gain some of his form back ill never know. I mean he is 25 and should be in the prime of his career yet hes left to rot on the bench. Poor management all around if you ask me.

Agree3 Disagree0

Can anyone please tell me why our beloved manager leaves allbrighton on the bench game after game after watching nzogbia against swansea and yet anouther poor performance im no expert but he ll give a lot more than nzogbia surely.

Agree2 Disagree0

Would agree that N'zogbia has failed to live up to his promise since joining, but look at Torres and Carroll. N'zogbia needs to have a little more confidence in himself and run at people the way he did at Wigan. He can only get better. As for Ireland, he has been an utter disappointment and we are better off rid of him. McLeish needs to draft in Clarke and Albrighton to give us some fresh impetus. Our defending of set pieces has been WOEFUL and must be improved over the next three home games if we are going to get anything from them. What we need on Saturday is the same spirited performance we saw against Man U last season !

Villa need to buy a new lease of life. The looked lie they couldnt be a***d tonight. Relegation performance but then what do you expect from a manager with a proven track record of relegation Shocking appointment. Also mayh aswell sell Bent in January. What is the point in buying a proven goalscorer then selling and not replacing his supply line??? Might aswell buy a Ferrari but never put any petrol in!!

Gabby Agbonlahor to sign a new contract to last to 2017 at least!

McLeish intrested in Demba Ba (£10m) & Rio Ferdinand (£5m)

Expect the sales of Nathan Delfouneso and Ireland in January

-------------------------------

Why on earth would we sell Delfouneso he is a villa favourite, I just can't see it. Obviously this fan has never been to a villa game.

Also Demba Ba has only signed for newcastle this summer and is on form, they would want more then ten million.

Finally Ferdinands past it and has astronomical wages, he'd be like putting heskey in defence.

True Villan

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Lol, I came to the Villa side for a laugh, and you did not disapoint! lol Ba 10mil - on form strikers in the prem are like gold dust - Newcastle would sell, for 15 mil

If Villa are in for the likes of Naismith and especially Steven Davis then it only proves that Eck and Lerner are totally Mc Clueless.

Bannan, Herd and Jenas in middle, then i would play NZogbia right and Gabby left, as hes been unstoppable down the left lately.

Steven Davis would be a waste of money and would send a bad message to the youngsters we have at the club.

Collins and Warnock should be removed from the team and i have no idea as to why we brought in Hutton. Dunne and Clark make a great CB pairing in my view.

Jnr Hoillet will command closer to 8-10mil so we can forget about him too.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

You don't know what the heck your talking about , stick to subbeteo mate.

Junior Houliet from Blackburn to Villa for £4m.. a good bit of business!

LOL LOL LOL LOL you lot really are clowns... you will sign johson from fulham that is about the sum total of your spend... Junior Houliet indeed lol why would he jump out of the frying pan into the fire?? you lot are 2 losses on the trot from being in a relegation battle. AND NO i do not support any of the shabby midlands teams or blackburn lol im still chucklin away now.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Dont tell me your yet another glory fan who supports a team whos winning from the comfort of your big cosey armchair bet you ve never been to a football ground.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lol, i've been to your shed many times... like a church, only sing when your winning.

Agree1 Disagree0

He has got you there, you ground is quiet, the away fans sing you under the table even when they are losing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok then just do us a favour and google loudest football grounds in the prem just to clarify here's the top 3 #1 man utd 76000 fans #2 liverpool 55000 fans and 3# villa 43000 fans it was on central news about 2 months ago so instead of hiding behind cheap jibes stick your colours in the mast and take the flack

Agree2 Disagree0

This is the same survey that puts Stoke at 6th and Newcastle 7th Hmmm!
You obviously don't get out much!

Junior Houliet from Blackburn to Villa for £4m.. a good bit of business!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If true would be good business ,as you say ,Please no more scots!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant see it for 4m though and the only scot i want villa to sign is Naismith

Agree2 Disagree1

Given Naismith is now out for the season we won't be seeing him @ VP anytime soon. Hoilett would be a good signing but is likely to attract interest from elsewhere and that probably doesn't bode well for the Villa. Based on our performances so far this season a decent Centre Back who can defend set pieces must be our priority

Agree1 Disagree0

Ha ha ha Junior Houliet. ha ha ha ha no chance. Like I said on your main page Andy Johnson is on his way.
