In reply to Davedean about Gabby not being the sharpest knife in the box, I have to agree he is pretty vacant at times.
You all have to watch him on youtubes third eye with Ashley Young, IT'S A CLASSIC.
Copy and paste the link below and watch, brilliant, that is thick people, real thick

So leave the EU and Johnny Foreigner footballer will need a work permit!
11 Villa players will fail to qualify.

That rubbish we have shouldn't qualify to wear the shirt.

Get us out now!

Reports are stating that if the UK leaves the EU, the influx of foreign players will stop as they will not qualify without a permit -11 at the Villa.
The rubbish we have are not fit to wear the shirt, let alone get a work permit.
Roll on and get us out now!

Ruud Gullit says he would consider the role as Aston Villa manager, if he were offered the job. Any thoughts, lads?

I read that Micah Richards called a fan a clown for having a go at him for been on holiday. He stated he is entitled to a break after a long hard season. Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like he has played 25 games this season? That's 2250 minutes plus injury time of football, depending on if he played every game? I presume he trains three times a week, maybe five hours a day? If some of that is gym stuff then lucky boy, as I have to train in my personal time. I am in no way having a go at Villa, a fallen giant at the moment. What I am getting at is the attitude of a player, who should be spending every spare minute trying to train in order to try and keep your team up, not justifying going on holiday by calling someone a clown. I work 40-50 hours a week in a stressful, hard job and have not had a break to go away for 2 years now.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

30 Mar 2016 20:05:29
Shano as much as I agree with you, and that I think he is well out of order, and is poss the worse signing these season.
They are entitled to time off. Whether you agree or not, this was agreed with club, sanctioned and is very common.
What went on in this break, was pathetic as professional sports men, but shows there attitude.
Your playing time is spot on. He is a joke.

Also, I wonder if you posting this on here is because of his Citeh connection??

Agree3 Disagree0

31 Mar 2016 01:04:39
Shano, you are right in everything you say . People have always suspected, that Gabby isn't the sharpest knife in the box . But boy has he proved it, after all the uproar from the first lot of photos, we now see him on his hooka or with Babby mor like a hooker pipe . i'm sorry but the kid is completely delusional, if him and captain fantastic think they can disrespect the fans the club by doing what they have and flaunt it in people's faces . I agree everybody deserves a holiday for working hard, but when was that . The people who work hard are the ones, who turn up week after week to watch Gabby have his mysterious virtigo attacks . I bet half of them can't afford a holiday, after paying you wages . Like I say they are just dilusional, overpaid who wouldent know what hard work was . Up the Villa.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Mar 2016 08:17:20
Totally agree, Dave. If I were the Villa manager, I would have got rid of them both as captains. Problem is, we don't have a manager. They are the representatives of the team at the moment and they aren't living up to their expectations.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Mar 2016 18:16:54
Is there no integrity in our club anymore?
Why post that jack? Pathetic!

And. Gary Neville anyone??
I have a strange feeling, seeing how our owner appoints unproven, younger coaches, that this will tempt him!!

How about a curve ball and go for M. O'NEILL?
On a recent TV interview he was asked about the managers job at VP.
He played cool and finally said "not tomorrow. "
His contract ends in the summer so he will be available and should he know that Lerner is not involved, either by Hollis keeping him away or a new owner being in place, then I think he would be open to an offer as he has unfinished business at VP.
Yes a wide shot but he was the last manager that had us all happy with the team.
Yes I know he spent Lerners money but we had a football team to be proud of regardless.
My call Martin O'Neil.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Mar 2016 21:18:42
And he jumps ship at the first time of trouble too old villian sorry as much as I agree on most things you say he made his bed when he left us last time.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Mar 2016 19:32:44
Jumped ship when Lerner went back on his word.
At the time we all thought that he was blameworthy, but when one reviews what Lerner has done to all the managers since you see that all along Lerner has been to blame by not funding the team.
Looking at the prospective managers they are available because they have failed in their roles or are good championship managers.
I want to see us go out and get a proven prem. Manager.
Moyes is a good shout but he has lost his last two jobs, not good on your CV.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Mar 2016 12:21:03
Another payout for a departing manager, how much has been paid to managers who have failed due to not getting funds?
Garde will have got the majority of his contract paid up as it was the board that failed to keep their part of the contract.
The board MUST support the next manager or the next owner must support the new man.
When one looks at the way Hollis is running the business there is a clear view that the Dec ks have been cleared to make AVFC an interesting company to buy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Mar 2016 08:20:08
It was mutual consent, so I don't think there was a payout.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mutual consent is a nice way of saying that there were no losers.
The board keep credibility and Garde went away with an offer.

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Man Attacks Eagle, Pele Sues Samsung And Much More

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Mar 2016 06:09:39
Another thought, eric black has been put in charge until we get our target manager on board but the press are saying pearson and moyes don't want to join till the summer, surely this is a mistake, we all know were going down like the titanic, if our new manager were to come in now, he could assess the players while they're fit (vertigo permitting! ), try different formations and evaluate the whole squad together rather than wait till summer till they are fit (ish) and more importantly, match fit, that way come the end of the season we can do a (Fergie) and get our business done early and so when they get back from their "jolly hollies"we'll have jettisoned the drosh, the manager will have the squad he wants to have from day one and with the new signings and the whingers gone the atmosphere should be a million times better;what do you guys and gals think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Mar 2016 05:29:39
One if my neighbours told me an interesting story about many years ago when david moyes was manager of preston north end we asked him to come and join as assistant manager to graeme taylor for a season and then he would take over as manager of us, he turned it down siting ambition and wanting to be his own "man", he then left p. n e. and became everton manager, is it fate that now after all these years (and with a wealth of experience) he now feels it's time to step in and step up, or do we go with a man who tells his own supporters to"die" and refuses to apologize to put the matter to bed? the new chap bevington is apparently a whizz about presenting public perception and image, the question is can he remedy the accident waiting to happen with our own new potential loose cannon (manager), i think i know which i'd prefer, the question is, do you?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Got to be Moyes . Pearson was only as good as his backroom staff and there staying at leicester.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 22:56:58
Cracking point about backroom staff, but whoever comes in knows there could be a new owner before july, so will the big guns (managers wise) play the waiting game to see what happens when the dust settles, and if that does happen, do we have to wait to sell the dross before we can buy? and as a result will our targets be sold by the time we get round to entering the transfer market, we can't muck about otherwise we'll get to the stage of panic buying again, and i for one bloody well hope it doesn't turn out like this.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 13:09:17
Il be the first to admit I thought the signing of Micah Richards was a great one but what a complete ahole! Latest tweet having a go at a fan for commenting on his Dubai picture and he comes back with a few days away and I quote "after a long hard season". is the season over? What was hard about it they never turned up!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

29 Mar 2016 13:30:20
I fully agree mate if you read what i put Yesterday this just proves my point the whole team needs to go there Attitude stinks! To call a villa fan a clown after the season they put us through is a joke what's he on about a long hard season its not finished yet its not hoilday time must be all that champions league fa cup and league cup an league he's played not. This guy is a disgrace and a very rubbish footballer Gabby agbonlahor is the same he's out there smoking cigars while our team rots bottom of the league while Redundancies happen when we go down.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 15:19:02
Yeah I agree Mike but also agree with those who are right when they say they were in time off. but to then come out with the attitude the season is over and was hard is a joke. Maybe if they had given 100% every match and we were in the same boat I'd have a different opinion. and that's the attitude of the captain!

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 19:44:27
Richards came for an easy ride. Take the money and avoid the effort. The defence is better without him and Garde knows this. The same for many of them. None would give their all for our club.
Useless lazy sods.
Daily m states that Garde will not be leaving without his package as his agreement was that new players would be signed in January. He cannot be sacked because he will want unfair dismissal and the club cannot afford that payment.
Who knows he may be a good manager with the right support from above but what he got was the poison chalice. We are not the only ones shafted Garde is also in the sh. t.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Mar 2016 17:01:19
I must say it's nice to see Mr Aston Villa and club captain Gabriel agbonlahor and Micah Richards enjoying Dubai till 4 a. m. in the morning drinking and smoking cigars you wouldn't believe that we are bottom of the league it looks like they're celebrating yesterday I said I don't like any of the Villa players at the club at the moment this is just more proof that no matter what manager is incharge they're a disgrace the attitude of the players is something I have never witnessed before! it is like we have gone out and got the biggest bleep bleep we could ever find! I for one will never forgive what Gabby agbonlahor has done for this Football Club when we needed him he's not a villa Legend! if anybody disagrees with this message they need the head looking at this is not the behaviour of players gutted to be bottom of the league.

Believable14 Unbelievable1

28 Mar 2016 19:07:28
Mike I totally agree with the sentiment, and feel the same towards these 'players'. But.

They where off work, on agreed time away from work.
I think they are so unprofessional, and a disgrace, but.
They can not be expected to be miserable 100% of time. (Although I'm not sure they are any of the time)

If things at your work are hard, and you went away for a few days, to get away from it all, if you where seen by a colleague, drinking, having fun, would that be wrong?

If you see my point?

28 Mar 2016 20:02:18
I do mate but there is a time and place and as alex Ferguson once said don't drink in a nightclub buy the nightclub when you retire! ASTON VILLA is going through hell at the min my connection hates going to work there its making so many peoples lives unhappy and when we are relegated people are going to lose their jobs it would be nice if they just went home and had a few beers while playing FIFA or something Low key! despite what people think they aren't normal people that is why they get paid such a big wage everything they do they are representing Aston Villa. But i take your point on board mate and i respect your view as i know you love our club as much as i do! UTV VTID.

Gabby and mica aren't worth wasting words on, they don't give a toss what we think anyway . ( as they have shown before ) We all know who the clowns are . You can't blame Remi for playing hard ball, the way he has been treated, but please pay up and get it sorted . The new season gets ever nearer, we have to be sorted and ready for it . The league is a hard, hard one, if you haven't got some system of sorts, already in place it will chew you up . let's get new manager and support in, so they can plan for what's to come . Also get sorted some of the useless, overpaid non caring rubbish we already have . Let people like "the party gang " train on their own, not good enough to train with the kids . (they would mess the kids up as well ) As I said before, onward and upwards Villa for ever.

To be honest, and I hope I'm not alone, I don't buy a season ticket so I get to see Chelski, Citeh, or Man Ure, I get it to watch Villa, at least next season we're going to get a few derbies, play teams that we should roll over, get the squad right and be competitive and i'm happy enough, whoever's our owner, last time we went down was 1 of my best times following Villa, we seemed to be in it together, ain't felt like that in a long time at B6

Most of them believe that they are good enough for champions league and that is possibly why they don't perform for us.
It's AVFC that's not good enough for them!
Unfortunately they are AVFC.

Could we see the end of Reilly this week?
I am liking what Hollis is doing even though I was suspicious of him at first.
Also could we be seeing the end if Lerner as is being rumoured elsewhere?
Could we be that lucky?
Not had much luck this year.
How about a hat trick. Lerner gone, Reilly gone and we celebrate a win over Chelsea?

Just copied and pasted
From a news paper

The Tel*****ph's report also makes a stunning claim about his relationship with Garde, claiming the pair are barely on speaking terms anymore after he told the Frenchman that "January targets did not want to move to Villa - only for Garde then to speak to the players directly and discover they had never been contacted".

What the heck has being going on
We were all told it was rotten to the core but this is unbelievable
Remi is now stalling on his compensation
£2 million for the sack
I'd take it
There are also reports learner has serious buyers in place for the take over
I expect 100 million for the club and 100 million for finishing last
Minus £250 for a tattoo cover up.

{Ed001's Note - Oscar Borg, apparently so, he is available, though he is not much of a left back as he has no clue about defending.}

right news on garde today he took training but the meetings he had was to discuss he departure but its bin harder to get rid of him than villa thought due to him not wanting to resign he feels he's bin really screwed and won't leave with out he's 3million compo now apparently villa only want to pay half that so so far he's still gona be incharge till an agreement is met but i know for a fact he will defo leave and as for pearson he's in know hurry as he knows he will be at villa next season no matter what happens!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2016 13:34:26
Hollis will not pay any compo. so Remi will stay put. He knows Hollis will not want more embarrassment after the sacking of so many managers which puts him on very strong ground.
I fully expect to see Garde in the dug out come the start of next season with players that he wants in place. This means goodbye to several players both good and bad as all offers will be considered regardless.
Money has to be found to allow Garde to bring in fresh willing players that want to play for AVFC at a lower wage than currently is in place.
This will make us a better option for a buyer OR for Lerner to hold on.

Why the hell are we pratting about with the likes of Bruce, Pearson, etc, etc.
David Moyes is sat there waiting, for the love of mike get him in on a 5 year contract and have done with it.
Moyes would also help with the difficult task of attracting players to our club, he has all the experience we need, as well as a respected individual.
Come on Villa do something positive for a change and give us some hope for the future.

And yes I know our club is going the wrong way but with a football board and the right man appointed we can step back onto the right path.

Garde knows it is coming.
Sherwood knew it was coming and sat tight for his last couple of games and PL knew it was coming.
It is difficult to raise your emotions when there is little hope.
Hollis may give McDonald's the reins till the season end but he will not get the overall chance.
Hollis must get the right man next time as he realises that AVFC are now impossible to sell and that I believe is Lerners instructions.

I hear Brad Guzan has been entered in next year`s worlds strongest man.
According to Mr Garde, Guzan will come back stronger after his cock up yesterday.
This has been stated before after his many bad mistakes, he is definitely not a stronger person for It, if fact for me Guzan has become a less competent keeper.

Unfortunately i've worn mine out, understandable though bearing in mind the season so far, one thing looking back has made me realise, how good was dereck mountfield, what a signing from everton he turned out to be, ronnie rosential's conversion over the bar and paul mcgrath's facial expression is worth it's weight in gold, big ron geeing up the boys against inter milan, and to show my age, a very grainy old, old vhs copy of us signing a french player called "didier six"-he looked a bit like kevin keegan-but that's as good as it got! -signing eric (little cantona-yeah right! ) djemba djemba-aaahhhh, dalian atkinson (i never knew he had asthma-absolute classic! ) david ginola-who john gregory hated with a passion, a grainy vhs copy of "Deadly"introducing Dr. Joe Venglosh (spelling) to the fans, and after joe gave his speech;everyone looking around clueless but still applauding him-aahhh happy days, so many it'd take all night to say, i do hope whoever comes in learns to appreciate just how much history and good times we've had, and with us fans on board as the "twelth" man we can get back to them heights, come back "Deadly"alls forgiven and forgotten! and so endeth the sermon!

Never really liked Gary Mcallister
As a coach or assistant manager at the Villa
As a player he never really appealed either
But was reading part of an interview he did
And he mentioned Mellberg
We all can see we need a Mellberg Laursen
McGrath Southgate McGrath Evans Mountfield at the back never mind a swain Wright Barrett on the sides
I have never been a fan of players, legends
Becoming manager of their team as it always ends in failure
Little and Gregory
BUT
Mellberg and Laursen as a management duo for next season they know the league and have done there apprentiships in Scandinavia Any thoughts.

In an ideal world remi garde would stay and all the french foreign region to put things right, but in reality the championship is like a war of attrition,3 games a week sometimes, horrible grounds (i mean state of pitch), and opposition players more than happy to boot our "posers"up in the air like a circus act, the truth is that they will scarper to warmer climbs, with nice delicate football, big new contracts and their egos massaged, for me remi is not equipped to get down and dirty, (pulis, allardyce styly ), so sentiment aside, bin him too, get in a british manager, a mix of young players, seasoned pros, journeymen, mix it all up and serve up them blue noses hook, line and sinker! ;i want to see a manager on the sidelines less like a mannequin, more like a nutter, cajoling, bullying, pacifying and encouraging the players, blood and guts, thunder and chunder, heart in the mouth stuff, if we loose, as long as we tried, that's okay, old school get the place rocking again! (for example when big ron was there, that night against a technically superior inter milan side, but with the crowd involved, we had 'em good and proper-ahh happy days), let's face it, the experiment has failed good and proper, let's get back to who we were, are and go on from there, utv!

Watched game on Sunday. It's the inevitability of the result that depressess me. When a less talented side play a talented side, the less talented players run round at 90 mph to compensate. Our lot don't do that. So many of them go MIA. Where's the anger, where's the determination. If we don't have the talent, at least lob in a whole bunch of hi balls to Gested. It's not subtle, but it's what we've got. We have the weakest midfield I've ever seem in the Prem. Sherwood was right. We needed experienced British based players, Vertout, Gil have skill but no physical presence, Westwood just ain't Prem standard.

Thank God I emigrated, or I'd still be paying good money to watch this.

In Germany and other countries, they have a lot of teams owned by a fan base . Maybe you might know more about how works Ed . We appear to have a lot of very wealthy fans, couldent a consortium of fans be got together . I know it's clutching at straws maybe, but it's another road to look at . How about another share scheme, for fans to raise money, Maybe it could be used as a loyalty scheme against your season tickets price . It just shows how desperate we are getting, Just a few thoughts ( don't shoot me down to hard ) Villa for ever
Ps got to play the kid Green again.

{Ed002's Note - In other countries there are indeed clubs not with commercial owners - but they are effectively co-operative associations that have existed for 80 years or more. At the highest level of the English game it is entirely impractical to make a success of doing that now. The money to buy Premier League clubs is vast (hence the American investment in the likes of Crystal Palace, and Everton & the significant Chinese investment in the likes of Manchester City.}

Westwood - yes and yes won't be phased by the championship
Lescott - yes and no cover only but may at his age go to states or abroad?
Veretout - no and no but if still PL would give him a second season but not in Championship
Richardson - should have gone 1st season but will suck dry any villa cash sitting in researves
Ayew- yes but no I wish but see him off to Swans to partner brother
Traore - yes but noas soon is fit will go to a Burnley or back to continent
Hutton yes and yes just for the song!
Amavi - yes will recover and then head home to France sadly
Sanchez - no and no will be off pdq!
Gil - no and of course won't stay, too light weight and chamionship would eat him up!
Kozak - yes and yes may show some post injury loyalty could be our 2016/ 17 Gary Thompson
Rudy - yes and yes knows his craft down there
Grealish - yes and yes last chance saloon before career free fall!
Cissokho - no and no
Some rebuild for Brian Little to influence! Remi can't see him as right man and won't stay anyway! Come on a tried and tested strong manager in championship like Pearson or Moyes or the likes.

So the season hasn't even finished yet and already our players are being linked with exits. Yes it will happen but surely they will be better off staying at Aston villa if they want playing time look at benteke and Delph their playing time has decreased dramatically. Is grealish good enough to get it that West Ham team? Probably if he settled down. For me he would be our stand out performer in the championship. Also veretout getting in inter milans team I don't think so. These guys have got 4 years left on their contracts we should build the team around these players. Get rid of the dead wood i.e Gabby, Nzogbia, lescott. Richards will leave anyway there's some money saved there no need to get rid off the players that we should be building around.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

We don't have a player worth building around.
Let them go, because if some one is willing to pay for any one of these 'players' all fall them.
Every single member of that squad should be transfer listed.
Not one member, except ayew- maybe, is worth keeping.
Not one of them is worthy of the security of a contract.
Not one of them would be a starter at any other club.
We need to get rid, start again, and look forward.

If these guys had a performance based contract, like 90% of the uks work force, they would be sacked.

I say good riddance. They are an embarrassment to us and the badge.

They probably though there agents had leaked there intentions for next season and a big signing on fee
The season isn't finished yet

I know Mendex and Flackie didn't agree with our call for Pearson but would he have let the season finish with not even a whimper
As I mentioned I was in corporate at man city and watched a 92 year old Doug Ellis bent over walking with a stick and a helper up and down the stairs to watch the villa
Maybe a few of the players should take a look at him and then a good look at themselves.

Poor old Doug is like the rest of us, broken hearted but still there week after week because we love this great club. Fox, Riley and Almstadt need to be sacked immediately. Get rid of as many "players" as possible and for the first time in years PLEASE get a proper manager in. Someone who will assemble a team that will be proud to represent Aston Villa. Players that will give everything for the supporters and our famous club. If Hollis and King get the appointments right this could see good times return to Villa Park. Amen.

He won't take it after the man city game it is fairly evident he is scared of anything technical particularly a technical area
Maybe I am wrong but we all felt pity for Remi after the January window and to be honest I thought he could do a job
BUT
After the team selection the last couple of games i feel the tide has turned
Sorry Remi

GLEN HODDLE dah dah, he knows the game, he's taken teams up, as long as we keep him off religion and talk of karma i think he might not be a bad shout, i know he's been out of management a while, bu i think i'm right in saying he runs a football academy to help failed footballers get back into it, has travelled around clubs to see how they work and still goes to games as a"fan", what do you reckon comrades, or is it the inevitable pearson, any thoughts chaps?

Week after week we put up with Westwood, Gabby and Bacuna and others, walking round waiting for the whistle to go . On M o t day last night, a spotlight was put on Gabby, if I was him I'd be so embarrassed . He has for years got a realy good living, without giving much back . Time after time rumours about him causing trouble, in the dressing room . The problem seems to be everybody calling him Mr Villa, he realy believes it . Remi we haven't got many games left . even an idiot dreamer like me can see we are as good as down . Now is the time to give some of the kids a go, they can't do worse than some of the don't want to knows we have now . They will at least try and have some energy . We have to get these kids embedded in, with others like Gardner, Baker and others to come back . If we loose matches, so what we are no worse of, But at least we might be more prepared for what's to come . People like Gabby, Westwood and Co need a reality check, they are just not good enough . Villa till I die.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2016 16:23:35
I actually agree.
But. Let's say we do throw the kids in, (which I would do!) and we lose heavy, and they have given their all, it may destroy any confidence, and belief they have/had.

My point to use as an example on this is Scot Carlson, (how I wish we still had him) was great, a future England number 1, and makes that mistake for England, and got pelted for it, confidence shot, down the leagues he goes.

If they are our future, I'm not sure the risk of destroying them in the present is worth it.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Carson suffered a bad run of injuries mate, that was what destroyed his career. Adversity can build character in players, most kids come through at struggling clubs in the lower leagues. It helps them become stronger in mind and less likely to be destroyed by mistakes.}

06 Mar 2016 16:47:40
That's true ed!
Perhaps the example I used was mute! But is a valid point I think!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I know what you are saying, but personally I disagree, I think it does them good to have to go through adversity, as I said. Youngsters have it too easy, as we are seeing with Villa now, when they get older they have no ability to cope with that adversity as they have never experienced before. They fold like the Villa team is this season.}

06 Mar 2016 17:39:35
That's a fair point ed.
Sink or swim then I guess!!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yeah exactly, what have you to lose? Not like the established pros deserve to play and it might give them a kick up the backside to be replaced by a kid.}

06 Mar 2016 18:34:31
Could not have been put better Ed, my feelings exactly, we talked about it last week.
Not everyone will agree but we have to try something, as I said last week other teams do it.
We need to learn and quick.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it just seems pointless to me putting in the likes of Richards etc, when it is clear they are not giving their all. I mean you are losing anyway, so what do you have to lose if you are Remi Garde?}

06 Mar 2016 21:16:20
Has anyone considered the kids might not be very good
People always say throw the kids in, they couldn't be worse.
Perhaps Garde has looked at them and thought " Blimey, I didn't think it could be worse but with this lot it actually could be"
I'm not saying that this is the case; I don't know
I am saying stop looking for simple, silver bullet answers for manifold problems.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 21:33:07
I think Garde lacks the courage to try it. You only have to look at his body language to see he has given up along with the players.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 21:52:23
Mandex got to blood them sometime, even Remi been saying he wished others had same attitude and commitment as Lyden . He has got to be worth a try in his proper position, instead of deadwood sorry Westwood. As we have been embarrassingly shown on telly, Gabby is a complete joke . Give one of the kids the chance to breakthrough . With the kids they will try, Gabby must have a money belt under his shirt stopping him running . If these kids realy want to be pros, after seeing what the so called 1st team are doing, they should be champing at the bit . People have been saying are our kids good enough, only one way to find out . You never know it might shake the others up, Let's give it a go Villa for ever.

Southervillan, how many time over last couple of seasons have our u18 u21 beaten the top sides kis? Answer loads, we have some realy useful kids, who would love the chance to prove something ., & imagine the boost to our recruitment, when top kids country wide would see villa as a club that gives you a chance . Not like others that just go out and spend another £50 m and don't give kids a chance . I honestly think that kids like Lyden would thrive on it . we won't know Untill we give it a go.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Mar 2016 11:04:33
I can't agree more. All we need is for Hansen to say you don't win anything with kids and we would be onto a winner. I've said for ages have a look at them and see what we've got for next season. Bring in a couple of experienced championship players to guide them through and build for the comeback years. The crap we've got at the moment ain't worth wasting our time on. Can't agree with you.
Garde is fire fighting but ain't got a hose, only a tea cup.
Some of the players are reluctant to go with him as they feel that his ideas will not work. Hence the story about Gabby falling out with the manager.
We have a jigsaw with only pieces to go round the edge, the middle has all been lost.
When Ranieri was at Chelsea and there was a problem he simply described it as "too many millionaires in the changing room. "
The lazy sods are getting there money for turning up, how long would they last in a real job?
It is easy to blame the manager but from Lambert onwards they have all been shafted by the to55er at the top .
No proper money invested, just pocket change, not even the money from the prem.
Garde, if he had any sense would walk, but he wants to stand his ground and force the owner to send him on his way. It is almost personnel pride to show that he did not walk away from a fight.

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Mar 2016 11:33:30
We've played pretty much a back 5 in the past two games and have consequently leaked 7 goals. Can't say I have two much faith in him. Yes he hasn't been supported by the board but even after the lescott debacle he played him and to me that shows a blatant disregard for what's happening at villa park. How on earth does he think we can survive if we are playing defensively.

Just to put the cat amongst the pidgeons, we're going to need a no nonsense manager next season who can give it the old "carrot and stick"routine, can attract good players, keep the good ones with the"i have a dream"team yaddah, yaddah, can spot a good up and coming player, can knock some common sense into jack the lad, can instantly gain the respect and trust of the senior players, can work in a budget and preferably has had champions league management experience and success"punching"above his weight, has managed a massive club with great history and tradition, handled the pressure when things went wrong on the pitch, and off the pitch when attacked physically and personally, still got the job done and kept a sense of humour, used to dealing with a yank (maybe canadian, not sure) who'se never there so has the patience of a saint, oh yeah, and doesn't talk about 'heads in sand', grabs players by the neck and talks about being able to"look after himself;don't you worry about that", also remember how nigel had to go to the hospital with"chest pains? "when pressure was building on him?, now if that happens at the foxs, you know you can ramp up that at least four fold at our club, now please don't laugh to hard but me personally, i'd swerve old nigel and instead go for someone i think has all the traits of character we need and then some, that man is neil lennon (now stop the bleedin'laughing, i'm serious! ) your thoughts gentle folk of the b6 .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - LMFAO 82, lennon is joke mate, as an outsider i think you may have a decent manager already mate, even SAF, wenger or pep would struggle with what garde was saddled with, he inherited the worst squad the premiership has ever seen (no disrespect) and given bugger all to spend..in fact the lord himself would struggle with what he has to work with mate..sorry..

With all the rumours, of Fox and co being sacked, now is our chance to give the club back to football people. Over the last couple of seasons, we had that many offers of help from ex players, (David Platt excluded ) people who still love the club as we do . Brinn Little is some one who knows football and the Villa inside out, he would be ideal for a top job at Villa. John Gregory, is another, who's love of the club has never diminished. No more money men worrying about how many shirts we've sold . People who know football, who know the club, understand the fans passion, & the clubs history . Let the fans feel that the club understands how they feel, let the fans feel that once more they will be listened to . Villa fans are called fickle, but let them feel that this is their Villa back, & they will support you forever ( well I can't speak for villa82 HaHa) People like Lerner, Fox and co don't understand, that this club is ours and always will be, we have put our money into this club for years . whe I was buying 3 season tickets a year (for 17yaers ) , we went without holidays, car tax exc .
