heard gabby abonglahor is going everton in the january, i know we are linked to fellaini but don't know if thats part of the deal, i rekon its more likely just 5/6 million straight deal for gabby, heard anything ed?
--------------------------------------------------------------
No way, probably an Everton fan thinking he has the cash to pocket gabby!
we're talking £20-30m here mate not 20 million buttons!
---------------------------------------
cant see him going everton but geez you must be watching a different gabby abonglahor to the rest of the world each week, anywhere from 5 to 12 mill is what wed get. 2010/2011 season he hit less than 5 goals and the season before that his best ever only 11, hes got a scoring record of 1 in 4.6 games and you rekon we will get what aguero went for? wobble your chops fella, hes 25 nearly 26 not even buying for potential, if they bid 8/9 he will go i rekon, though id try get a deal will that fellaini if its on the cards, say 10 mill n gabby

Can't believe one of you actually thinks you will get Carrick from united. You do realise they only have about 3 midfielders fit-him being one of them. It's not loike fergie ever buys in jan so he aint going to be replaced. Plus Fergie loves him.

We don't want Gardner and Gabby is Villa through and though so good luck while he's playing well and wanted he'll stay at Villa like all players who support the team they play for
Agree4

Gabby is worth 20m easy and Gardner about 8m pull the other one
Agree2
Disagree3
Think MON is more likely to get Heskey than Gabby, as for Gardner we already have the better brother why should we want him back, he could never get in the team anyway !
Agree3
Disagree1
Wouldn't be surprised if that was a geordie pretending to be a mackem saying that, i like gardner and would have Gabby off you if he was for sale, hate to say think Bent is going but we told you so doesn't quite cut it
Agree4
Disagree1
I think Bents problem is that he likes to be the main man. As soon as Gyan started showing some form and getting the fans going the great sulk began. Last season at Villa he was the main stirker-happy days. This season Gabby starts in sparkling form and suddenly the rumours begin...
Agree4
Disagree0
Pppppffffffffffttttttt 20 million for gabby, hes got a goal ratio of 1 in 4.6 games, he only got 3 last year, 11s his best ever total and hes got only 53 goals in all competitions for the club at 25 nearly 26, so please show me this 20 million pound player? your deluded hes 10 million tops, and thats only if a few clubs come sniffing, gabbys not in great form, he has 4 goals, great form is van persie, dzeko balotelli, rooney, aguero, adebayor, all players in double figures, proper strikers, he has as many as velios at everton and defoe at spurs, the first only playing 60 odd mins footie in total, geez a few of us need reality checks

Villa can't afford fellaini as they are skint., and not only that fellaini just signed a new 5 year contract in November, so would only leave for a big club.

No but with everton sniffing round gabby, maybe theres something there :) gabby and 8/10 million may prize him away, sure he would want more than his giro hes getting at everton

Expect Darren Bent to start performing in order to get a move in january. Cant blame him considering the football we are playing this season but hey should provide a few million to spend . UNLESS lerner is still looking after the pennies
Believable0

Because of the football being played. If Bent moves in january you honestly think that will be the reason.yeah right

I'm glad we got him, we had to put up with bruce and his negative crap tactics for the past 18months, he lost the dressing room, the fans and his mind now we finally have a winner in O'neill, should of got him 3 years ago. 13 points out of 18. MON is a Mackem! to be fair with you, you got to get rid of Mcleish before it's too late

Not so much a rumour but a fact
Alex 'the Mack can't manage' McBeef was only brought in because the board knew Villa would be in the relegation dog fight and just in case Villa went down, Alex is the man they want for 2nd tier football.
Watch for all the 25k+ per week players being got rid of
And sadly no Qataris as much as I would love it!

Really don't get why Villa didn't sign Demba Ba when he was FREE, we were obviously the better team than Newcastle. Also don't get why Mcleish didn't sign Dann or Johnson, the only useful players Birmingham have.
Believable0
Unbelievable5
I would of liked to of seen Larson and Dann signed by Mcleish instead of Hutton and N'zogbia but hey were probably in for some more sh*t signings in January as the only decent player we've been linked with so far is Zamora and taking Mceachron on loan from Chelsea

Zamora ? Decent ? ok then.

Believable1
Unbelievable1
Suspect McLeish didn't sign any Blues players because there was a "hands off" clause in the deal that was done to stop the Bluenoses suing for breach of contract, !
How is it that our defence is worse now under a "defensive" minded manager than it was under MON ?

18 Dec 2011 23:26:06
And also i think randy lerner should leave because he has been desstroying the club for years, making managers sell our best players e.g barry milner young downing

A good signing for villa would be richardson from sunderland, he has good technique and has alot of pace, and he would come to villa because sunderland arent as good, and also he is better than hutton and warnock put together, another person we could get to resolve our full back position is danny simpson from newcastle
Believable1
Unbelievable6
Better than Sunderland. Did you actually watch the way we played on Sunday
Agree3

So Richardson will leave Sunderland now they have the MON factor pull the other one and they have a stronger squad than villa so don't see this happening while we have mcleish and lerner calling the shots.
Agree6
Disagree0
That last reply is obviously from a realistic Villa fan. Now that SAFC have O'Neill in charge watch them go. A perfect partnership. The sunderland fans will love him and back him.
Agree6

Could'nt agree more. want mon back soon as possible
Agree2
Disagree1
I'm a sunderland fan and it's nice to hear most villa fans putting that one person in his place, sunderland finally have a manager who is a winner not like bruce who was negative with his tactics, sorry to say but think Bent wants off, we warned you he was like this, kisses your badge when he scores but screws you over for money, if you get 25m for him then hopefully you can get a few decent players in to save your season, as long as we both finish ahead of newcastle I'll be happy, good luck with the rest of the season guys {
Agree4

Sunderland enjoy teh ride with MON. We had three 6th places but what a shambles he left. Selling Cahill and buying Curtis Davies, other supersta MON purchases Heskey, Delph, Bye, Warnock. yOU WILL HAVE AGREAT 2-3 YEARS AND THEN IT GOES t*TS UP

im a rangers fan and i could not stand alex mccleish. don't be fooled that we all loved him up here most gers fans did not. in fact at every club hes been at the fans have not wanted him to start with and hated him at the end. he will bore you to death with his negative tactics and his, well sir alex does this and sir alex does that. so f*** what sir alex does. also don't think you will get rid of him easy because when when everything went bad for him up here he grabbed on for dear life until he got sacked so he could get his 800000 grand payoff hes very stubborn and willl piss you all off before the end. only someone as arrogant as him would make the move from birmingham to villa after getting relegated.

Like many villa fans I was prepared to give Mcleish the chance to prove himself at Villa, but I have to say he is failing the examination. Our performance for the first 70 minutes on Saturday was appauling, the players didn't look interested and there was no great motivation (almost as bad as the Spurs game) we were poor at the back, lacked imagination going forward and gave Man U far to much space in midfield. If Mcleish builds his teams on defensive qualities then, apart from the odd bright moment and with the exception of Shay Given, this strategy isn't working, our defending from set pieces this season as been abysmal. Let's hope that January brings some quality signings, a wide player to provide service for Bent would be a start, before he decides to join the exodus, and hopefully Sunderland might be in the market for some of the MON signings that haven't made the grade ! we all know who these are.

Sunderland are very lucky to have O'neill . If only lerner would have give him the 24 mill that he gave houllier then we wouldn't have a manager that knows nothin about football and we would be far from having the threat of relegation looming over our shoulders. I would be very surprised if sunderland don't start shooting up the table now (even if O'neill signs players like Davies and sidwell :p )
Believable2
Unbelievable4
There were some things O'neill did exceptionally at Villa but also some dodgy decisions and buying some cracking players but also alot of s**t players and all of them were on big wages which he agreed.
Which is why Mcleish has to work with what he has as Villa will have to wait until we've either sold or ran down the remainder of O'neills contracts down then Villa will be able to balance the books and look to bring a few more stars in.
It's not Mcleish's fault he has a lacking squad if he had the squad we had 12 months ago he'd have Villa in 4-6 position but the fact is we've lost 17 players and 4 of which were key players and brought in 3 players with only one of them being a shrewed buy in Given if anyone is to blame it's Lerner he let o'neill spend stupidly and closed to purse for Mcleish despite sales of 40m plus.
SO BLAME LERNER AS HE LOST CONTROL IN THE GOOD DAYS AND NOW WERE SUFFERING FOR HIM ONLY NOW RELISING IT.
As Mcleish cant do much with what he has any manager would struggle with the squad we have now
Agree3
Disagree3
Not true . Whilst i agree that we are not as strong as a squad when o neill was in charge i also think that if o neill were in charge with the players we had now we would finish mid table and win more than 3 games so far. Any manager could do that with the squad we got now. Problem is mcleish's tactics. 6 defenders on the field at tottenham , unattractive football in most matches this season. Slowly we are becoming birmingham city. However i agree that lerner is at fault as he has lost the passion for it. Time for him to sell up to be honest.
