have we covinced ourselves he is going and mctwit has the last laugh with a summer spend
he can have the last laugh as long as it is a payoff for his contract with hutton and grant in tow

I think we should go for Giovanni Dos Santos of Spurs, he is being wasted by them and he was a quality player at the world cup for Mexico.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

They should have gone for him last season when he turned us over 6-1 @ st jamses, quality manager.

Agree1 Disagree1

He will be with West Brom regardless of playoff results Villa,If they chose to get rid of Mc will go for an unemployed manager you could see someone who no one has paid any thoughts to.Myself I'm going with Curbishley

McLeish resigns as manager of Aston Villa, the announcement to be made today. It's believed McLeish held a meeting today with Randy Lerner to discuss the plans for the rest of the season. It's believed McLeish fell out with Lerner resulting in his resignation.

That is a load of rubbish. Randy wasn't even here yesterday.

Lambert refuses to rule out move to villa!

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Where have you read that, All he has said is"IT IS DISREPECTFUL TO TALK ABOUT ALEX OR THE MANAGERS JOB"

A point to note here is that you have to ask the club first, then assuming Lambert has not already been put off the Villa by O'neal and Lambert wouldn't mind taking a step back in his career, If you think Villa can offer him more than Norwich you are to coin a frase Insane.

What you have to remember is that this is Lamberts Norwich he has built what we have and has a new improved contract as well as a bigger kitty for players next season, The aim was to stay in the league this season and then build for the future. No Norwich fan believes that Lambert will be here for ever and a day we expect a bigger club come in for him at some point, by saying Bigger club I mean a top six team or German side like Dortmond or like wise.

And if and when that happens he will go with the blessing of everyone in Norwich and we know then we will be in a much stronger position to get a suitable replacment. will be very supprised if that happens before the 14 world cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter cobblers, he has not said anything of the sort.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree,Think this is short sighted Villa Fans wishfull thinking,Lambert won't leave Norwich to come here, and I think people should learn to accept the fact that we are stuck with what we have got for at least another season, Good luck to Norwich for Next season I see them top 10 next year

Gus Poyet will be your new boss next season. When I posted this last night, I said journalists in Sussex were talking about as they are today. It has not been reported in/on any media outlet at the moment because Premiership still has to play out. If I was to give u Journalists names I would be putting them in the doggy do wouldn't I. got a draw and a point but did we not have 9 points to play for with the remaining games we had so why are we playing with 7 defenders on the pitch and only 3 attackers.

hutton cuellar dunne lichaj,warnock,herd,clarke

heskey agbonlahor nzogbia

We will not win a match this way and mcleish sets up the team so negativley no wonder we are where we are

so 2 games left and dont be surprised if we only get 1 more point if that!!

Mr lerner that is what all avfc fans have been saying to you, he is never going to win anything at villa with his approach to the game and also if you wish villa to acheive your next manager has to have a idea to go out and win matches and not settle for a draw even befor the whistle is blown.

28 apr 2012 19:29:22
so we luckily scraped a point against the baggies, cos of a gr8 given save,i think we will avoid the drop this year, but make no mistake, lets face it we were blessed, that mc ginger along with lerner caused this mess.firstly as a villa fan 30 yrs i have seen the highs and lows, but talk about watching a car crash in slow motion,i.e.mc leishs appointment...............lets all as villa fans make a true and meaningful statement,we want mc leish out and learner too,if hes gonna pass any sort of washed up manager such as mc leish is on us,we dodged a championship bullet this season, but if the whole set up dont change we will down end of next season..................................out of villa park jaffacake

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I dont think we scraped a point. Gobby should have scored at least one, then Herd, N'Zogbia all had great chances. 30 years a fan. Your only a beginer. You know if you are a Villa supporter you are meant to suffer, the badge says it all "Prepared" For 70 years I have suffered the highs and lows and believe me the old 3rd div. is a painful place to go and watch your team. They will need shin pads as thick as paving slabs!

Agree3 Disagree4

We were the better team for the majoroty of this match and should have been home & dry a long time before Given great save. Let's give the lads some credit for this one, they battled for 90 minutes and were unlucky only to get a point.

By the way, shame on the ignorant Baggies fans not taking part in the, by now, customary tribute to Stan. You didn't see the villa fans ignoring the tribute to Muamba last Tuesday.

They get sell outs at every home game, what do we do they have something like 3000 travell to away games what do we have, no competition forget him he is staying in Norwich

According to the statement released last night by Lerner & Faulkner we are stuck with Mcleish for the remaining three games this season. They call for the fans to get behind the club, this shows that they know so very little about the passion of the villa fans. We may not be the most vocal home crowd but we love the club, if not the manager, and only wish the best for it. So we must continue to voice our views about the way the club is managed rather than let it self destruct under the current management. Villa are a premiership side, they have a premiership squad, yes it needs strengthening in a couple of places, and we should not be in a relegation dogfight but we are thanks to a manger who (as with the blues 12 months ago) is unable to get his players sufficiently charged up to win games and play for 90 minutes at a decent level.

Mcleish record this year :

Fewest homes wins ever, more points dropped from winning positions that any other premiership team, not a single goal scored from a corner (what do they do in training ??) and, unless we are lucky and the other results go for us, RELEGATION.

Sincerely hope I am wrong about the last and we beat the albion on Saturday ! but not holding my breath

On recent performances I have to ask where you think we are going to get the points we need to make your prediction fact.

Based on the remaining fixtures and the way the other teams around us are performing I think that QPR will get at least 3 points, Wigan & Bolton at least 4 & Blackburn & Wolves are already doomed.

Agree1 Disagree2

I reckon we'll draw/lose spurs
and win/draw norwich leaving us with 38/40 points QPR will lose at least 2 of there last 3 and draw with stoke and be relegated with blacburn {Ed002's Note - Perhaps you could all take a shot on this and compare results:

Heard a rumour that Randy wants Villa to go down, Has he wants to start over. Is very confident that the club would come straight back up and win something.

Believable1 Unbelievable7

What owner would want their club to go down? Only a financial person would want that! Sadly i do think we will go down though, if you look at the old post match interviews with Mcleish while he was at Birmingham, the de ja vu is quite scary, he says the same rubbish, and oh look, down they went...shame.

Agree3 Disagree1

What a chairman who posted net losses of 54 million from last season!
So with that in mind Lerner wants us to go down give your head a wobble, Prem teams get 90 million for being in the prem with an additional 800k for each place you finish so Lerner would rather get the 30 million a team gets for being relegated
when hes trying to 'balance the books'

Im a villian threw and threw, ill hold my hands up chelsea gave a master class in defending lastnight,We cant handle Bolton at home in the biggest game of our season, hutton warnock and collins just jump in all the time its so easy to go around them, i was taught to stand up the attacker make it hard for him to go around you,I will say warnock had a good game in the middle maybe it was cause was a bit away from our goal because he could do anything at anytime he must be the worst ever left back we have had, might make a decant midfielder

Believable4 Unbelievable0

If villa win one game were safe or draw two games and we'll survive by the skin of our teeth.

I wonder how much all this is costing mr lerner as it's a 100m just to be in the prem and an additional 800k for each place in the league so abit of a difference 9th last season and 17th this season last season villa would of recieved 107.2m this season if we finish 17th it'll be 100.8m and obviously the gate sales at villa have been down nearly 7k nearly every week

What the hell have these owners done, hey employ a yes man who is now hated more than deserved, they constantly lie saying we are cutting back. If we cut back anymore we will be playing 7 reserves a game and that's if we sign in the summer. I am one of the few fans who has defended the owners the manager and the players, until now. I finally realise these yanks seem to disregard the club I both adore and admire, I care more about the Vila than my future, last season I didn't revise cos we had arsenal and Liverpool, i am at uni, hello i put my future before this club, I care. This is the club I will support but you, mr Lerner mr Faulkner and sadly although you were used mr Mcleish. You have taken my passion, my faith, my money and my time, and you have not only thrown it in my face you have returned at a later time and ****ed me. I hope someone at villa reads this because we are now all against you, there may be quite literally a handful who still stand by you, but the rest of us want you all to leave. Before its said I go to every home game, I attend regular away games and I purchase much merchandise, but I simply must say I don't care now. My passion has been eroded by weathering the storm that has provided the worst season I could have imagined. O and Charles n zogbia for ****s sake pass the ball you greedy ****, when you passed we scored.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Your a fool if you throw away your future because of an institution you have no control over. Do not give up on the books.

Agree8 Disagree1

Stick to your studies son, you will need your degree in the future. It's obvious that the board and our record breaking manager (fewest home wins) don't care to much about the club and despite reports about Lerner's finances he can obviously afford to wave goodbye to £40m

Agree8 Disagree0

Stay with learning to write English. Capital letters, punctuation etc, etc. No wonder our nations future, let alone Villa's, looks bleak.

Agree2 Disagree5

Why are you disagreeing with this obviously clued up fan. Its fans like you that have stopped all villa fans uniting together. This guy goes to university and still makes time to support his club no matter what. Carry on listening to the games in your taxi and watching the players on match of the day you idiot.

MCLEISH OUT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believable13 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2012 23:05:49
After dominating the first half and being extremely unluckly not to be at least two up at half time, we go in for half time and Mcleish has his say. We come back out and are a shadow of the team on the field 15 minutes earlier. What does this say about Mcleish's ability to motivate players ?

Believable12 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2012 22:48:20
Let's stop talking about transfer targets and who is and isn't staying, after tonight's result no one of any quality will even consider Villa and we will be off loading the saleable assets in the summer after we have gone down. Mcleish and his sidekick have to be the first to go, and the sooner the better. His compensation package (more fool Faulkner & Lerner for agreeing one) is probably a fraction of the £40m plus he has cost the club this year. Now we can all see why the bluenoses were having a real laugh when he was appointed.

Costly mistake Mr Lerner perhaps you should have listened to the fans !

Believable12 Unbelievable0

Agreed.... Championship footie next year for us - can't see where our next point is coming from. Teams below us are starting to get results against good opposition. Randy Lerner's a blue in disguise - mclaren turned us down so go for the next useless lump out there and actually pay for his useless services! Muppet! Believable9 Unbelievable0

And whilst loyalty is a great attribute to have in a club the table does not lie regardless of which situation we are in,ASTON VILLA FC SHOULD FINISH IN THE TOP HALF NO MATTER WHAT!
But Under Mcleish we have drawn more then lost and then lost more then won

And this is strictley down to mcleish style of play.
Score a goal and sit back and try and hit them on the counter whilst full knowing our defence is rubbish!

Biggest game of our season on Tuesday. McLeish HAS to be sacked whether we stay up or not, this season has been dreadful and if we don't win against Bolton then maybe we should start making plans for trips to Barnsley and Brighton next season. If McLeish does get the boot (fingers crossed) who would you want to replace him? Realistically I'd like Martinez or Lambert.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Worst case scenario, he Blues in the Prem and the Villa in the championship. This is a realistic possibility with this person in charge

Agree4 Disagree2

Halloway, mckey, benitez or hoddle all play attacking football

I would prefer lambert cuz he would have all our youth and he could add more hungry attacking young players who want to win something. he could clear out all the old crap oneil bought and replace with great youngsters.
Also attacking football is the way he likes to play. Look at norwich vs manu at old trafford, they took it to united and went for it.

Sure Mcleish is an artist, he's brilliant at drawing games. Only issue is that we should be winning these !!!

Same old same old at VP gain yesterday, firstly Mcleish has no concept of trying to win games, Gabby comes off and on comes Heskey, why not Carruthers or Gardner ? No let's go for the safe option who will cause no problem to Sunderland. Secondly, and more importantly, Mcleish lacks the passion that we fans have. He stands in the technical area hands in pockets with a total lack animation to get the players fired up and giving that extra something. No wonder he has not motivated this team this year, he relies on the players to motivate each other. Newsflash, not working !

Sorry Mr Lerner but you made a poor decision, whatever the reasons, in appointing this guy. after almost 12 months in charge his coaching skills, or to be precise lack of them, are evident in the fact we can't even take a decent corner most of the time, if we are going to send it past the far post lets have someone there !! and at the sames time our record of defending set pieces this season is poor

Oh and by the way, our position in the league is costing you money Mr Lerner £800,000 plus for each place so maybe any compensation you have to pay could be more than earned back by a decent manager who believes in winning games not drawing them in the most boring style. Maybe you'll also get a bonus of more season ticket sales as well !

Believable7 Unbelievable0

McLeish needs to go, cant believe those fans turned up yesterday, time for a total boycott until McMuppet has left

Agree8 Disagree0

Do you seriously think having no manager at this point of the season is a really good idea? look at wolves got rid of mccarthy and have done worse then they would of if they kept him on till the end of the season! yes im all up for a better manager but there are good and bad times to sack a manager and now would be suicidal so stop and think before you say boycot until he goes yeah don't re-new your season tickets so he goes in the summer but sacking him now is a very bad idea!

Agree0 Disagree7

Anything less than a win tomorrow will, in all probability, put us on the brink of relegation If this happens & I pray it doesn't then KMac & GC could do as good a job for the last few games Maybe that might fire up the players for revenge against the baggies for their unjust win @ VP And before anyone says Hutton should have been sent off so shod Foster for the foul on Gabby that led to the penalty he was the last man & it was certainly a goal scoring opportunity

Yet another decision by the ref that cost us points

I would like to see a shake up - McCleish or no Mcleish..

Out - Dunne, Warnock, Heskey, Agbonlahor (for 9m plus) and maybe even Cuellar

In - Cylne and Zaha of Palace would be nice
a new DC and two solid MC's similar to Petrov with work ethic and passing ability are needed
we have Holman already

Given
Hutton Collins New DC Clyne
(Licaj) maybe another DC and Clarke/Baker)
New MC New MC
(Herd) (Delph or hopefully Stan)
Bannan
(Ireland or Gandner)

Albrighton N'Zogbia
(Holman) (Zaha)

Bent
(Weimann)

still a thin squad - yikes

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Mcleish OUT, that is all that matters, even if we signed Messi i would not go back to VP, until that clown has left

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd like a shake up to

OUT: Dunne,Warnock,Beye,Heskey,Petrov, N'zogbia and Ireland

IN: Zaha,(Mclean/S.Sinclair/Jarvis), Bas Dost, W.Bridge,J.cole/Bassong,j.O'hara,S.Dann

McClean? Are you having a laugh? Why would he take a step down to yous?

Not gonna lie if the fans boo o neill tommorow it is wrong. The guy was the best manager we had in the prem and yes he left us at a bad time but can you blame him after seeing what a mess lerner has left the club in now. I say fair play to him he's now gone to a club that's going places not one that's heading for relegation if not this season then next. Written by a villa fan just in case anyone thinks I am a sour faced blue nose or a mackem

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Mon left us in the s**t not lerner! lerner put all his trust in mon and look where that got us finishing 6th with loads of over paid bench warmers lerner has been sorting the mess out since mon left and by the looks of it he finally has with the money we have to spend this summer lets just hope ginger .... invests well and wins us all round by getting us back up that table!

Agree2 Disagree2

Haha you seriously believe that mess is sorted out. Please, the manager is a spineless person who could not manage a match winning side if he tried hard. We have a chairman and a chief executive who could not give a f***. IF they give mcleish any money to spend it will be the biggest mistake in the clubs history because we will end up with a first team full of zigic like players and barry fergusons and regardless of league position we are better than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

OK so O'Neil will have picked the players. But do you honestly believe he was the one negotiating the the wages etc. Don't be so ridiculous. It is up to the men behind the scenes to keep that side in order.

Rumors linking us to Heerenveen striker Bas Dost have picked up again along with other links to Celtic's Beram Kayal and Nathaniel Clyne of Crystal Palace.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Bas Dost is too good for us and everyone knows it! I kinda hope we get relegated, at least this would mean Mcleish would never work in the premier league again!

Agree4 Disagree2

Well you're obviously not a villa fan no one would want their own club to be relegated unless you have serious amount of money on them to go down and if you have then what a w****r!

18 Apr 2012 15:27:04
So with 4games left mcginger is still in charge, thousands of villa fans called for his resignation only hors after being appointed but mr learner and his puppet Faulkner would not listen to us and now we are on the brink of relegation they are still nowhere near sacking the joke.
In one sense I am glad he has been given no money to spend otherwise the kids would not have been given the chance and we will need them in decision 1next season has have our team will walk away due to the clauses in their contracts that they can leave when we go down so thank you randy,Paul Martin o Neil and Alex MacLeish in ruining our beautifully club please leave and sell the club to someone who cares let them bring in a coaching team that can coach with the times and develop our youngsters and bring in players that want to play for our team and not just sit back and take away massive wages for performing like a pub player week in week out

People are taking about youngs dive quite rightly.
He is a disgrace to any football shirt.
People are talking about Huttons tackle on young and I
Agree well done Hutton.
What we are not talking about is.what the hell was Hutton doing with the attempted tackle before the pen
Paul scholes should have seen red for the tackle on gabby.
The ref let play go on when Clarke and a Man u player clashed heads on the villa area they broke the length of the pitch before the game stopped. thought games had to stop for a head injury.
But not least what had mcclueless done to my aston villa.what has he done to the best youth/reserve team.we have class in baker, Clarke, heard, wiemann, liychi all these will go for more Scottish drab and old timers who will settle for under 40 k a week. We might stay up as the others are worst
Come on Alex go now and earn a little respect knowing your own shortfalls

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I Think you should add Gardner to your list being played out of position

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry I forgot gardener in my haste to get my post in.I left Barry Banann out as he thinks he is better than he is.and the Scott's are very loyal to there own so he gets a game along with Hutton.
I really don't know where we are going.I took in my first away game this season against man u some of the errors with simple give and go passes left me puzzled. With the right Man in charge we could be very very good.but this prat and his side kick amaze me hoe they work in top flight football.I understand villa read these sites .I am not rude and nasty I hope they read this and see 39 years of support ( 1st game 5 years old) hurting to what had happen to my villa

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes I agree our team is being ruined by Mcleish and with youth like Albrighton, Bannan, Baker, Burke, Clarke, Carruthers, Delph, Gardner, Herd, Johnson, Lichaj and Weiman coming through Villa have potential to be good we play most of them out of position or field to many at the same time with as many as 7 on the pitch when really it should be 3-4 at most for the establishment senior players to support them.

ashley young should be in the olympic swimming team for the dive yesterday, villa fans were right to boo him, lets face it he was never a great player at villa,a one trick pony, the odd run down the touchline was his forte,he will be cast aside in the coming years at utd, leave him to it i say

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Yes Ashley Young is a diver but no villa fan ever moaned when he was diving for us winning penalties and games for us in his 5 years at Villa he was a true servant to the club and still comes and watches us when he can.
At the end of the day we all worshiped him at villa he's just doing his thing for another club now.

Agree1 Disagree2

Yes young dived when he played at villa but he never got a penalty just a yellow card

Agree0 Disagree0

Young won plenty of games for us and still has a box at the villa were he can be seen when ours and uniteds schedule's dont conflict for me Young along with Barry and Milner i'm glad they played for us giving us a few years or cracking football Downing is the turncoat for me.

Yorke showed his colours when he told Gregory that he was going to ManU, not that he was just interested in going. Remember Gregory's words "if I had a gun I would have shot him." TRASH Young showed no respect to his former club when he dived. Most players after transfers to another club, offer some form of respect EG. not celebrating goals etc. Not Young, he would have gone away kissing his badge. When players go to ManU they get a different attitude to others, Total arrogance, no thought for their previous employer. From hero to zero. Wonder what reception he will get IF Villa play ManU at Villa Park next season?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

That wont happen you'll be in the championship. Worst squad in the premier league with players that just dont care and a manager who plays defensively and fails.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

The standard of refereeing is a joke, and the bias shown to Man Utd by referees is appalling,if not for Blatter,at least goal line technology would be in place, and all this diving spoils the game,Young should have walked today, ridiculous.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Millner downing ash young were is only good signings. spent and wasted loads otherwise on champ ship standard players on silly wages. we are now suffering because of this. very good motivator as you have seen but when dont agree with something asked to do will run off and leave you in it. let someone else buy the players and oneil will get best out of them. could be worse though you could have MCGINGER in charge. MCLEISH OUT. come on randy wake up.

Agree6 Disagree0

MON did well at Villa in terms of league position, but, as has been said many times before, he made lots of signings on big money who just didn't make the grade. He also tended to sign to the same small group of players game in game out which means you don't develop the fringe players, many of which are capable of more.

Villa current financial constraints are largely down to us carrying to many mediocre players on silly wages

Agree1 Disagree0

MON produced results for villa 3 consecutive seasons finishing 6th challenging the top 4 although he tended to grind the same 14 players into the ground so that they couldnt maintain the pace in the last leg of the season. Mon also signed lots of players on inflated wages although he did sign some players we've profited from, but in addition to this he sold some quality players for next to nothing like gary cahill. Mon's biggest fault was not allowing any youth players in the team.

So in a word he is a good manager just dont let him sign or sell players and he'll produce results for your team as villa hav

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree but if you look at the quality of teams now than there were two years ago when MON was at villa we didn't have to worry about man city or spurs so the only team at that time who we were competing with were Everton and look how much they've spent in the past 5 years!!

Agree1 Disagree1

Er are we forgetting Liverpool who along with Everton were our competition for 4th for 3 seasons

I know AM isn't the best manager but lets face it; it wasn't him who got us in this mess, it was MON. He spent nearly 12m on Reo-Coker and Harewood. He also sold Cahill for 5m. Around 30m on Davies, Sidwell, Shorey, Heskey and Cuellar. 19m on Delph, Warnock and Beye. In total he made a loss of over 80m at Villa. Not only that he put the likes of Beye, Warnock and Heskey on 40k a week! That's over 6m a year on wages for those 3 players! Since AM has been at Villa he has made a profit of 20m so of course we won't be as good as we were under MON but that's not AM's fault!

Believable7 Unbelievable2

LOL direct from Villa Park. MON is about as much to blame as Randy lerner himself then.

This mess is the football is crap, at every club Alex McLeish has managed they have played s**te football at every club he will manage they will play s**te football, the stats dont lie he is an awful manager and from what i have heard renewals are going to shock the club

Agree3 Disagree1

I agree but maybe if he had a bit of money to spend, things wouldn't be such a disaster

Agree3 Disagree3

Did he buy any good players at birmingham apart from ben foster

Agree2 Disagree0

Learner is to blame!
He let MON waste his money and now he's letting AM take the blame. why the hell did he give McLeish the job in the first place! He sent Birmingham down the previous year and plays football like we're a sunday pub team. every villa fan around knew exactly how AM plays his football yet at the end of the day the most important man at the club was oblivious to it all! what a joke!!

Is Shay Given really worth 60k a week when we've got a good back up keeper (Brad Guzan) on around a third of that price?
Is Bent really worth 65k a week when you look at the likes of Weimann coming through the ranks?
When was the last time you saw Bent score a half decent goal from outside the box?
Should Villa carry on paying arguably the two worst full backs in the prem 75k a week? (Warnock 45k - Hutton 30k)
Should Villa continue to pay Dunne 55k a week when we have younger players like Baker and Clark on less than half of that?
How can Villa afford to pay a striker (Heskey) nearly 2 million pounds a year when he's only scored one goal all season? (23 appearances)

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Milner and Johnson def but we had the best years of Barry I would much prefer a out and out def mid ball winner like o hara, diame or N zonzi all would be cheap and would add a bit of dog to the mid-field there is no point having bent, gabby,n zog wiemann or albrighton if we can't get them the ball

Is nobody worried about us getting deeper and deeper in to the relegation battle, especially with our fixture list and injuries? Look what happened to Small Heath - up until about the same point last season, we all thought they were safe enough to stay up - are we safe enough to stay up? Worried to say the least... Wonder what the odds were at the start of the season that the same manager could take down another club consecutively especially their local rivals?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Villa are in a worse points situation than the dark side of the city were last year and they as we know went down. Where are we going to get 7 points? Might not need them but the target must be set, OR have they already given up hope? The future is bleak and only the combination of the bottom clubs playing each other and the top 4 being involved with the bottom teams may save us!!!

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree, said before the Blackburn and Wigan games that we needed maximum points from these games to ease the pressure. Would love to think that we could get something out of Liverpool on Saturday, especially given that their form is as poor as ours and we gave them the points at VP, but I suspect my hpes will be dashed. Then we have Stoke, a team from whom we have taken only a few points in recent seasons, sacrificing a two goal lead as well a couple of seasons ago. Biggest hope we have is that there are three worse teams in the premiership and they stop winning !
