Adel Taarabt from QPR to replace ashley young in summer. His quick feet and skill will be the sort of playmaker that we just need.

I do not have connections or sources at Villa or any rubbish like that, these are just my thoughts on what has been thrown around in the press over the past few months. The squad has looked better in recent weeks with more and more players coming back from injury. As i see it the rumoured massive clear out won't be as massive as thought. However admittedly there will be changes.

GK: IF Friedel signs a new deal then the likelihood of their being any activity is pretty slim, other than perhaps an understudy being brought in for back up. Probably a free transfer with someone like Kirkland being a likely, cheap option. Guzan will probably leave for a Championship side as he doesn't have a realistic hope of coming into the starting line up.

Defence: The defence has been shaky to say the least, we have gone from the best defence to one of the worst. This is down to a lack of consistency in the wider parts of the pitch. Walker won't be staying, i just can't see it. We will probably bring in Hutton, he's fallen out with HR and a move to Villa would interest him. Also i think the left back spot is between Izaguirre and Figueroa, one of those will be signed however which one? Im not sure. In the centre of defence we could lose Cuellar, but he's been rubbish this year anyway! Diakhate could join for 3 million.

Midfield: You never know, Young could stay, although that isn't a likely outcome to the transfer saga. Milner won't rejoin, he's said he did the right thing to leave so let him stay put. Downing to stay. Reo-Coker unfortunatly may depart, that would be a tough one to take as he has finally performed in the centre of midfield, arguably he has been better than Makoun. A cm will be found, probably Kallstrom along with Fofana, two good, cheap players one with experience and one with youth.

Strikers: Carew has gone, bye bye. Heskey will stay, Agbonlahor will stay but could be deployed in a wider area. However Gervinho's arrival could see them swap positions which would be interesting to see. We tried to sign him in Janaury so i can see Houllier moving for him again, after all he does speak French.

Ins: Kirkland (Free), Hutton (5 million), Figueroa/Izaguirre (5 million), Diakhite (3.5 million), Fofana (1 million), Kallstrom (6 million), Gervinho (12-15 million).

Outs: Guzan (500k), Lowry (released), Cuellar (4 million), Warnock (2.5 million), Beye (released), A.Young (12 million), Reo-Coker (free), Weiman (Loan).

What do you guys think {Ed007's Note - Not that clued up on Villas business mate, so changed that a bit, hope you don't mind}

Cannot believe some of the rubbish being wrote on here.

Young going for 27 million, even if he didn't have a year left on his contract this would be a ridiculous price for somebody of his quality.

Downing will not be going as he has committed the foreseeable future to us as he "owes the club a lot" his words.

also I don't belive that Moyes would leave Everton, aseptically after last years disaster. Maybe Ancholti to come in.

more realistic targets would be;

Scott Parker Or Charlie Adams- as there is lots of talk of Reo cocker leaving

Given or Kirkland- Brad probably has a year left in him however we need a better replacement then Guzan.

I believe Hutton would be a great replacement for Dunne.

but who ever comes in next needs to get rid of the dross we have at the club such as Heskey and Pires.

Based on all the stories flying around this is how i think that our squad will shape up for next season! I think there will still be a strong youth influence however more quality will be brought in, i think Houllier has done okay on that front.

Mid: Downing, Albrighton, Gervinho, Petrov, Makoun, Reo-Coker, Kallstrom, Delph, Hogg, Bannan.

Outs: Guzan, Beye, Warnock, A.Young, Carew, Osbourne and maybe Cuellar?

A friend of mine in the know at Villa park has told me that Randy Lerner is going to bring in the recently sacked Paul Ince to steady the sinking ship.Mr Houllier he feels is just not up to the job and will be moved 'upstairs' to a technical role.

GOD that, s the worst premiership game I have ever attended, we won but good job Newcastle had a load of players out, a very hard run in to come I am affraid, we are not safe yet by a long chalk.

With the news that Glenn Roeder has been brought in to help the hapless Houllier, the board has made the decision that anything less than three points against Newcastle will cost the madcap frenchman his job. Roeder will take the club on until the end of the season. Lets hope that Roeder's proven track record of getting clubs relegated does not continue. I would like to see Roy Keane or Paul Ince given a chance.

Just like I said earlier in the season when Houllier and McCalister took over, that you would struggle to do any good, if you do survive this term "and the run is better for you than most" you will have to get rid of him quick. He has had his time and will never replicate his Liverpool days, I thought that you fans up there in the Midlands knew your football obviously not.

I told you lot earlier in the season that Houllier and McCallister would bring you to your knees, but all you could say was that my comments were not welcome and that I was a gobby little **** well who was right and who was wrong, your all just idiots up there in the Midlands, I cannot believe how little you know about your own club, if you keep them in the summer they will take you down, if your lucky enough to survive this campaign, knowing your luck you will just scrape in looking at the run in for the teams around you.

This in my opinion is what our squad will be next season, let me know what you think ed.

GK: McGregor, Guzan, Marshall, Parish.

Def: Walker (Loan), L.Young, Figueroa, Baker, Clark, Collins, Cuellar, Cahill, Lowry, Lichaj, Herd

Mid: Albrighton, Downing, Kranjcar/J.Cole/Gervinho, Makoun, Petrov, Delph, Hogg, Bannan, Adam.

Att: Heskey, Bent, Agbonlahor, Delfounesou, Weimann, Cisse

This squad will leave us with a starting line up of:
