Well It's Wednesday and supposingly the day of the meeting, I have not read anywhere else other than on this site about a meeting but I hope that there is one and that news of the takeover is finally revealed so we at least all have an idea on where the club is going, I have read so many rumours of late that it will just be a relief to know the truth. So here's hoping for good day for the club and all Villa fans alike, may we get the news that we are all hoping for and may glory days return to Villa Park. :-)

I've just red a post on the meeting. But am in your boat mate this is the only site. people are saying its a takeover. I pray people are right an not just chatting s****te.

2.) 08 Jul 2015 10:13:45
Hi All
I'm new to posting on here but have been actively watching for a while.
I am very dubious about posting as I don't like getting things wrong but I have some information that might be interesting to you all.
I have a friend that works as a technician at Villa Park and I spoke to him yesterday afternoon.
He did not confirm to me about a meeting taking place, avoided to answer when I spoke to him but he did tell me it is mayhem at Villa Park at the moment as everyone has been told to make the place spotless, as if royalty was coming!
Make of that what you will but I am hoping something soon will happen regarding the takeover.
Looking at the fact Vlaar has still not made a decision on his contract offer and not signed for anyone else as a free agent, £9m being spent on 1 player before the sale of Benteke I honestly believe a takeover is imminent.

3.) 08 Jul 2015 15:05:47
All very quiet. What time is this meeting happening? Everyone heard anything yet???

4.) 08 Jul 2015 18:36:15
Hi all, our accountant used to work at villa park as an accountant and says one deal fell through and don't think it will happen for quite a while according to friends he knew there

Just heard that Delph's decision to stay at Villa was based on the fact that Bill Gates is about to become the new owner of the club, announcement later this week.

1.) 11 Jul 2015 21:46:02
Really. (sigh)

2.) 11 Jul 2015 22:08:45
I'm going with ellison m8 but hey I hope you are right and it's gates as that makes us even more powerful in terms of money to spend. Someone like gates would not want his name by a mid table struggling team he'd want to win and be the best.

3.) 12 Jul 2015 07:12:39
I too have heard Ellison's name mentioned and I am currently trying to find information on this, I know this is not the first time that he has been linked with the position of owner and nothing came from it last time other than a denial which leaves me wondering if this is just wishful thinking.

4.) 12 Jul 2015 08:20:23
Isn't bill Gates focused on charity? Giving his money away. why would he spend it on a football team? Just a random name picked out of a hat with no substance.

5.) 12 Jul 2015 09:11:36
I heard that Prince William is the mystery new buyer. He is going to keep TS on as coach but he will report to the Duchess of York who will become director of football.

All sounds very positive but I m not happy with the plan to replace the lion on our badge with a corgi.

6.) 12 Jul 2015 11:22:41
Ellison, Windsor or Gates, I've just checked out UEFA fair play? If get mega rich owner the capping of what he or she can spend will be quite limited and take a good deal of shrewd business and youth development still? Even if get huge names on free transfers and pay £200k a week wages this will still be chipping away at the capped amount? Can't do what Ambamovich did or a MCFC? We will though be able to build year on year to our limit so really exciting times ahead! Not sure about corgi on the badge though!!!

7.) 12 Jul 2015 12:57:19
Ffp has been relaxed to what it was and also if a new owner went to them and said I want to outlay 200 mil into my team and this is my 5 year plan to bring extra sponsors and income in they have said they will give permission to do it so not to scare away new investment.

8.) 12 Jul 2015 12:57:55
Apparently Wills is also trying to persuade Prince Phillip to fill the troublesome left back position while the Duke is pondering a move to cash strapped Olympiakos

{Ed007's Note - You'd think at his age Phil would prefer a move back home to Germany.}

As anyone signed Vlarr yet, if not tell them that he comes with a free pack of bandages and some band aids that should help raise interest, he's that injury prone he could get injured tying his own boots up. Lol

04 Jul 2015 06:32:25
I've just been reading on BBC web site that Christian Benteke has signed a new deal with Aston Villa until 2017.

{Ed001's Note - check the date mate - it is 2 years old. He is trying to get out as things stand.}

1.) 04 Jul 2015 19:32:06
that's why they call me joker lol

2.) 04 Jul 2015 19:35:05
just jesting mate lol

3.) 05 Jul 2015 20:50:03
it's not what I'm calling you.

Now that it as been revealed that the snubbed Chinese consortium that were trying to buy Villa are now buying West Brom, can I therefore assume that the remaining bidder who was granted exclusivity at Villa must be American as obviously the Chinese are no longer involved and Tony Adams consortium were ruled out some time ago ???

1.) 04 Jul 2015 13:47:41
I trust RL will be looking at everything and this is I expect a lucky escape but more likely the dollar choice is a more promising. Despite the demise of RLs dream (BHBF) I still believe he will do his very best when exiting the club and those around him. Must get deal done asap and make some of the signing rumours reality. Shame we didn't get the bloke who owned a MIG jet, just liked the idea all those months ago!!

03 Jul 2015 01:56:43
The take over will happen before 14th July, Villa will replace all those so called top players that leave, there will be a lot of new faces at the club and the club is on it's way up. Vlarr is stalling for the takeover to see what he can get out of us but to be honest I hope he goes, so too anyone else who is not 100% committed to the club. Trust me this club is going forward so have faith and things will begin to happen and all I say is this is no guess.

1.) 03 Jul 2015 18:08:52
Well it won't be the Chinese they got the WBA I only hope we can compete has RL made a big mistake ???

I don't think that anyone who does not need to know actually knows anything about the takeover and surely if Lerner was staying he would of announced it by now having no reason not to. I think the buyers identity is based on individual guess work and the that the best thing to do is wait and see instead of starting discussions based on speculation.

{Ed007's Note - You want people on a rumours site to stop speculating? I can't see Ed001 being too happy with that - it's kind of the point of the site mate.}

Fantastic news about Delph, still cannot believe that he would change his mind so late in the day, makes me wonder if Delph as perhaps been told something about the takeover, when it looked a done deal and a big money move for Delph and then to pull out at the last moment I can only assume that something major changed his mind.

Agreed villadave, we were indeed a bottom club with the players that we had, a lot of new blood was and still is needed but things may well turn out for the better and I am still looking forward to next season and remain optimistic.

I think we all knew that Delph and Benteke would not be with us for the start of next season so I am assuming that Tim as already got plans for replacing them both, so let's just wait and see what the end of the transfer window brings and what becomes of the takeover before getting too disheartened. :-)

Now you really are chatting rubbish, the club will be sold but it's not like buying a pack of smokes from your local shop, things can get complicated and so take time. Your story is complete rubbish and truth is you know nothing about the buyout.

Not necessarily so job security would have to be considered, what roll you would have in your new job, location, how comfortable you are in your current job etc. So it's not always just about the money. !
