Aston Villa are interested in matej vydra and prepered to pay up to 10m for him

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Best youth player out there, personally I think he is better than Benteke Lukaku Guidetti all youth strikers. His finishing is dank

Agree4 Disagree8

Omg please tell me your jokin bro?!. if not u need some new specs there fella. vydra is awful. comparing him to benteke, please. wake up you blind fool

Agree6 Disagree4

To the Vydra loverrrr. you're havin a laugh mate. nice to have a giggle on this site once in a while though. absolute muppet

Agree8 Disagree0

Lets vote AVFC fans.

Who is a better striker?

Matej Vydra or Christian Benteke?

Send your answers to the deluded fella that ranks vydra no. 1 young striker around.

Agree5 Disagree6

I think i'm a better striker than vydra, if we sign him I might stand outside bodymoor heath kicking a football at the wall and they'll no doubt give me a contract.

Agree6 Disagree3

Well looks like Liverpool are set to join in on the Trail of Benteke Looks like He's done what he set out to do and even clubs in Europe are interested, Question, How the hell do Villa fans think they can keep him, He will be off well before Kick off

Agree6 Disagree1

Me too mate. so me and u upfront next season then lol

Agree5 Disagree0

We want to SELL BENTEKE now!
Why would we want to keep him!
We can get some more cheap gem's & shine them up nicely to be better than Bente££ers.

Agree4 Disagree2

Yeah buy some more gems 2 shine this season so one of the top 4 can buy them this time next year!! pointless!

Agree2 Disagree0

'Gems' are very hard to uncover. We have demonstrated in the past that expensive mining has unearthed a lot of zirconias.

villa to get thorgan hazard on year loan

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Why the F**K would we want him? This is serious stuff, Benteke isn't just someone you can have in exchange for minimal cash and younger brothers of the famous already players! Get a grip! Benteke is innocent in this and his agent has played all these cards for the transfer request and everything. ! Just cannot see Big Chris doing this, specially after everything! Fingers crossed!

Agree5 Disagree4

No he'll just be the new Dawkins or Bowery

Agree5 Disagree3

Just because edens a decent player don't meen his brother is

Agree6 Disagree1

He had a good season in belgum

Agree3 Disagree3

No more belgums please.

Agree4 Disagree3

Please do not sell to the spuds, ok they have Bale but what would they be without him in the team, realistically we can't challenge the likes of the regular top 4, but the spuds, and scousers we can, so why sell 1 of our best players to them, we cant. I only hope this saga does not drag on and we get a quickfire sale, at the valuation we have have placed. then give the money to Lambert to get another few players in. VTID.

am I the only one that thinks villa should try get honda {Ed029's Note - I'll believe it when I Civic.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Nice pun Ed :)

I also think honda would be a great acquisition along with kiyotake too.

Attendances would be up.

The clubs profile would be raised across the world

And finally their both cracking players!

UTV

And everyone thought my Red Brown Mayo 'Sauces' gag was bad. Thanks Ed

Agree5 Disagree1

Ed, dear me {Ed001's Note - he has had a severe telling off for that one! If his jokes get any worse I will be relegating him to the Everton site.....}

Agree9 Disagree2

Honda would go to a club that can offer him European football.

Agree0 Disagree1

I like Honda as a player. He's got a great engine.

John Guidetti being mentioned now, thought he was still injured though? also some talk of Lambert not being fully convinced with Ron Vlaar, talk of Cheikhou Kouyate coming in, possibly as a replacement though he can play DM too. no doubt we'll pull someone out of obscurity like we did with Sylla. still lots of people hopeful of Hiroshi Kiyotake coming in?

Bent looks set on Newcastle, apparently one of the clubs main objectives is to get Ireland off the books.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I cannot fathom the rumours so many of you are spitting out about Vlaar leaving. If Lambert has "doubts" about him, why was he made our captain and why did he play so much? If he leaves this season I will eat my hat.

Agree6 Disagree0

He won't leave but we could easily find a better cb out there. only reason he played so much last season is because we had no1 better.

Agree1 Disagree3

Lambert's probably not happy with his injuries since he joined too, Kouyate would be a beast hope he joins up!

Hearing Villa are registering enquiries into the situations of Danny Welbeck & John Guidetti!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I think danny welbeck deserves to be playing week in week out, he's a really promising player who would fit into PLs style an regime. UTV

Agree4 Disagree3

Load of rubbish where did you hear this from?

Agree5 Disagree3

Yeah get welbeck maybe he will score more than the 1 PL goal he notched last season.

News coming out of the Villa is Kismet has advised Benteke to put in the transfer request to push Villa to offer him a bigger wage & a release clause in any new contract! Benteke apparently is after £75k p/w & a £35m release clause.

Believable8 Unbelievable8

This is funny, Villa still don't have to budge. He will have two choices -

1. Accept Villa´s updated offer

2. Sit quietly on the bench and when he gets tired and frustrated - agree to play at his current wage.

Your "choice" Christian.

Hold fast Fatty Faulkner!!! lmao

Leroy

Agree12 Disagree1

Why would he be holding out for a £35m release clause? I don't think any club would pay that even if he has another good season next season.

I don't think many players put in a transfer request to get more money, especially in this case.

I just think he wants to leave, simple as that.

Agree9 Disagree4

They did for Carroll & I think you had hit the nail on the head -
Greedy Benteke wants more cash on the table from Villa! disgusting!

Agree7 Disagree3

He is going to Chelsea to form a new front line with Lukaku.

Agree4 Disagree11

He scored more goals than aguero, but aguero is worth more? This kid has got two strong feet and an unbelievable header on him, making him the complete centre forward. He's not worth 35mil he is worth 40!

Agree7 Disagree6

Lets not hang the kid out to dry totally - he has a contract & no bids have been put on the table table & I am hearing no-one has been in contact since. I'm also hearing Spurs have pulled out of any talks due to Benteke's character.

Agree5 Disagree2

Aguero has proven he can score season after season and he is a team player. Benteke has had 1 good season and when he didn't want to work for the ball boy could you tell. If he has another good season and works harder he will be worth more but until then you can dream.

Agree6 Disagree2

Who ever wants him would have to pay at least £25 mill according to tv

Agree6 Disagree0

Well then VillaDave, let's hope your opinion on Helenius is correct, looks like he may get the opportunity after all.

Agree7 Disagree0

I thought at the time he put in his request for a transfer that his attitude towards us may put off other clubs taking a chance on him but such things as a players character don't usually matter to most mercenary clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea. We shall see.
No one is rushing to bid for him yet apparantly.

Agree3 Disagree0

Leroy: "Villa still don't have to budge" The the club have allegedly "accepted" his transfer request, so he won't be sitting anywhere near VP, think of the effect keeping him around could have on the other players.

Agree3 Disagree2

PL really doesn't mess about, he seems to be able to deal with every thing that comes his way. I'm glad Ferguson retired when he did because had it been a season later, his replacement might not have been Moyes. Lambert may well be our best transfer in a decade!

Agree10 Disagree2

He is worth no more than £25 million, possibly £20 million. And that price will drop now that he has put in a transfer request. Villa cannot afford to have a disgruntled player earning thousands a week, not playing, when every month his value drops. Laughable to read naive fans thinking we should put him on the bench.

Agree3 Disagree9

Benteke to Chelsea / Spurs / Arsenal - Who know's?, but let the haggling commence.

Agree6 Disagree0

A few day's ago someone stated that Kismet was "more than an agent, he was a family friend", in future he can be described as a "very wealthy family friend".

Agree3 Disagree2

In response to "Villa don't have to budge" -
“For clarity’s sake, however, he had already been given extra time off until July 18 and was reminded that there are three years remaining on his contract.

"We consider him to be a Villa player and expect that he will be with us for the 2013-14 season.

“Having received his transfer request, we have also informed him that should we receive an offer within an appropriate time-frame during pre-season which meets our valuation, we would act upon it.

"But he will remain a Villa player should this not happen. ”

Now going on what Lambert has said previously, that valuation is 40mil. So unless someone comes in at that price, why would Villa feel compelled to sell to anyone, let alone the rubbish some are spouting about discount fees as he has requested a transfer?

As mentioned before, Villa will have to sort the midfield situation (AMF) asap, because once the selling team knows that Villa have received a significant sum in cash, they will pay a premium.

Hold fast Fatty Faulkner!

Agree3 Disagree0

Theres so much talk of benteke going, but no reports of any1 actually putting a firm bid in for him. I do wish newspaper repoters would go shove thier heads up thier own typewriters, sick of them trying to destabilize teams just to make news on a slow day. rant over.

Agree5 Disagree1

Re: the nonsense above. Benteke wants out, other clubs aren't going to increase fees when they know the player is unsettled.

£25 million is the absolute max Villa can expect and even that will be paid over 3 years.

Don't even try to argue that point. It's how transfer fees are paid.

Agree2 Disagree10

The bad thing for villa is if interested clubs wait until late in the window to make a move. They could be forced to accept a lower fee and doesn't leave much time to bring in a replacement.

Agree0 Disagree6

We don't have to accept ANY fee that is the point. he has 3 contracted years left. if his valuation isn't met he will stay another year. simple {Ed003's Note - It isn't simple though is it? he has now made a move which can create problems in a deal(as in he has upset his employers like he did at his last club) I reckon Villa are well run enough to get a deal done with someone quickly mind.}

Agree2 Disagree0

No, he's right. Villa don't have to do a thing. Why would we sell our most valuable player for less than what he's worth? The club can value him at whatever they want. If no one bids anything close to his valuation then he plays for us next season, that's all there is to it. Unless he does a Tevez and refuses to play, which I doubt he will because it never works. We'll hold onto him like spurs did with Modric before Madrid finally made a bid they thought was suitable.

Agree3 Disagree0

According to Stan Collymore, you would only hand in a transfer request in his situation if you have been tapped up by a club. we shall see what happens hey!

Agree2 Disagree0

As is always the case, any player is valued or is worth what ever the selling team believes him to be worth.

This is only enhanced by the fact that the player we are speaking of, has 3 years remaining on his contract.

If Villa wish value him at 100mil that too is also fine, but clearly there would be ramifications that they would have to deal with in terms of actioning the players demand.

You only have to look at previous transfers for players to understand that 30mil is not at all an unreasonable amount.

Spurs fans will argue "hes only had one good season and he is unproven", well then why do you want to buy him so desperately then?

After the ruthletvess of the Jenas deal (having been made to pay for him despite being injured)why would AVFC do any favours for Spurs, who are not too long ago on level pegging with Villa.

Agree3 Disagree0

Level pegging? where were spurs 4-5 years ago when we were top 6 every season?we were way better than them

Agree1 Disagree0

Touche!

I was trying to be as objective as possible :)

Agree1 Disagree0

Re: Collymore / Benteke-Tapped up. Clearly, Tottenham indicated their initial interest in Benteke through the media, but many teams do nowadays but it doesn't make it right. We all look forward to another FA investigation, (not).

Seems Bent could be off to Fenerbahce for £7m rising to £8m in add-ons.
Benteke will apparently start a bidding war with Villa still hopeful they can get £30m for the star striker. As much as I will miss Benteke, its a good chance for Drennan & Burke!

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Very happy if this is true because we will never get anything like that fee from an English club but would he really want to play in Turkey?

Agree2 Disagree1

Spurs are favourites to get him and villa looking at. bobby zamora as a replacement! I hope not!

Agree3 Disagree10

If benteke does go I think we should try steal bony from Swansea

Agree7 Disagree1

Why not turkey mate? top class strikers played there before look at anelka and drogba and villa legend dalian atkinson!

Agree3 Disagree0

Lambert will never go for 31-32 year old zamora. he will go for some1 around bentekes age I would imagine

Agree5 Disagree0

If Benteke goes I say give bent a 2nd chance but by some else as well for e. g. Defoe or Evan a bid for dzeko

Agree5 Disagree2

We don't need to give bent a chance his done nothin wrong in the first place, he hasn't moaned about not playing, lamberts just forcing him out, bent should be on the team sheet week in week out, any one in bentekes position last season would of got as many goals as he did Bent should not be sold he should be in there in the first place

Agree4 Disagree1

Dzeko? Are you dreaming! Personally I think he's an amazing player, i'd even go as far as saying he's man city's best striker, but for him to end up at villa is a bit far fetched.

Agree4 Disagree1

But if we get money for benteke why not dzeko it will only be $15 mill

Agree4 Disagree3

Yeah and he would only demand 100,000 grand a week. get real boys come on

Agree4 Disagree0

Don't mention villa and bobby Zamora in the same sentence again.

Agree1 Disagree0

Even if we could get dzeko he ain't as good as benteke so wouldn't excite me that much anyway.

Good morning Villa fans
News from the coal face again, the boys are away in Germany and you will have all seen this mornings papers and web sites we here are all trying our best to try and keep the big man but he will leave I do have some news though with the money we will get from the transfer a big name will be coming in to replace him cannot say as it is awkward but he's coming from the bosses contacts in Germany, possible now bent will be staying as back up. The middfieldervwe have been chasing is almost complete the boss has a few others in his sights also news that next year Mr Learner is going to replace the north stand stand by for designs to be released on the website very impressive.
Bye for now

Believable8 Unbelievable6

I remember you "from the coal face".

You were guy who said we were going to be signing "the midfielder from France we all wanted to see".

What happened there?

Agree6 Disagree6

Is this the guy that said the news came from bodymore rather than bodymoor?

Agree9 Disagree0

I appreciate ALL posts on this site and give each one atleast a consideration, but "coalface", what is the idea of even posting here with the things you have written?

I mean, you only ever posts something that is so ridiculously obscure and generic that anyone could write it.

If everyone wanted to act like they are an ITK like you, we would be forever sifting through these pages looking for something of substance.

Can we make a rule "moderators" that a transfer rumour actually has to include a rumour and maybe even a player name?

Thanks.

Leroy

Agree6 Disagree9

Things change and he went else where for a higher wage as you saw we have a wage cap here and try not to break it and you are correct it is bodymoor computer changed it we have all had it happen to us

Agree6 Disagree3

Amazingly 5 disagrees on Leroy's comment and 5 agrees on coal face. seems like someone is rating their own comments lol

Agree7 Disagree2

I agree 100% with Leroy on this. There's going to be loads of rumours flying around Villa over the next few weeks and probably all summer so it'd be nice if people could include sources or maybe just give some reasoning for what they're saying. And also, it's not a rumour without a name!

Villa are rumoured to be making a double swoop for Dynamo Kyiv duo Brown Ideye and Lukman Haruna, Ideye may be a Benteke replacement, also hearing Lambert may try to hijack Jozy Altidore's move to Sunderland.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Altidore has signed so look else were!

Agree7 Disagree2

Lets get khouma babacar. an absolute beast with great potential. only 20 yrs old. bigger, stronger and faster than benteke. spent all season on loan in serie b and not sure fiorentina are lookin to use him in the future either.

Agree7 Disagree1

Babacar has scored fewer goals than the fonz has, and he's been playing in an easier league! As for Brown Ideye he wasn't any good at the confed cup was he
