Villa looking to poach Lioc Remy from QPR if we survive and there relegated

Is there any truth in this? I'd love him personally, he's one of the best finishers in the game but would have to learn to play off benteke.

Benteke is set to start talks about a new contract this week that will double his wages to put him on 40k a week, but he'll only put pen to paper if we stay up. Looks like he won't be going anywhere this summer!

Would be good if this happened but our luck man c or arsenal will offer him 100k then he`ll be off but at least we`ll get about 15 million for him.

If we offer him a £60k a week wage, 3 or 4 year extension, so he'll have 6 or 7 years remaining.
He wants to play regularly in a growing team, why would he leave if he's played where he wants & is happy?

Lets not be fickle Benteke has a 4 year contract with Villa and Villa won't sell him until his contract is on 2 years or less the only way Benteke leaves between this summer or next is if Villa choose to sell him and that will only happen if we get offered in the region of 30m for him

If benteke moves he won't play half as good, another season of him being a hero, proving he is quality and trying not to suffer from second season syndrome and he'll be off after next season. Also if bale goes to barca he's an person. Why move from a club close to the top of the greatest league in europe in terms of competition, where he's the top dog, to go and be a bench warmer at a team full of players who out class him?

Barca's midfield is the best in the world, where would bale fit in, based on his style of play, fit into that midfield? I'd pick pedro over bale every day of the week. Before sanchez went there he's was just like bale if not better, but now he's basically an outcast! And david villa would always make my team because he's been a world class player for most of his career, not just the last 2 seasons like bale has.

If bale is going to spain it will be real madrid, they play with a lot of pace on the break a lot like tottenham. Gareth bale will never be able to play the posession game like barca do, take xavi for example, 100% pass accuracy last night, bale would be lucky to get 75% and that's no where near the standards barca expect

Bale if he turned up at barca wouldn't play in midfield, he doesn't play as a midfielder at spurs either, he'd play wide of the front 3 an would defo get ahead of pedro an sanchez, sanchez is talented but he's no bale, bale is a physical speciman, he'd batter every defence in Spain, whether it's for Madrid or Barca, an he'd find it so much easier there than he does here, he'd get more time on the ball an he wouldn't have to deal with the brutal tackles he gets here.

Put it this way, if bale was spanish, would he be playing many games for spain? I doubt it. Would he have played 26 times for the first team and scored 12 goals? Again I doubt it.

To the person that talks about xavi with 100% pass accuracy, Westwood managed 97% at QPR with 73 out of 75 successful and even managed over 90% against Man U so if he ca do that in the tough tackling premier league bale should be able to get over 80% at least and comparing bale to xavi is wrong they are completely different players bale to iniesta or pesto is more accurate

What i'm saying is bale can't play the game that barcelona do, they all stand 5 yards away from each other and tap the ball into each others feet, all he can do is run at players and hit a mean shot. don't get me wrong he's class, i'd kill to have him at villa cause his ability is unreal, but he just doesn't fit into barcelona's style of play, which is exactly why I think he should go to real madrid. There's a good reason why bale has been talked about as the 3rd best player in the world, I don't remember anyone talking about pedro or sanchez being anywhere near the top 20 players in the world let alone in the top 5 as I think bale is. Barca players have spoke about how good bale is, even L Figo says bale would get in every team in the world.

How do you know bale can't play the possession game? The only reason we don't see that side of his game at spurs is cus he has to do it all himself, an He's so good running with the ball he doesn't have to play the passing possession game, I think if he was to go to barca, he'd improve his link up play instantly, an wouldn't feel the need to do all the work himself

Bale, 3rd best in the world? What an absolute joker! He's not even in the top 10, theo walcott has better statstics than him and neither of those are even in contention for epl player of the season. As for the what posts have so many agreed with, quite simply I can not be even slightly bothered to read back and find the hundreds of posts I have made to prove myself to anybody. At the end of the day my opinion is bale is over-rated, and if you were managing barca and signed bale for £50m to play him instead of pedro, i'd ask if I could play you every week.

Check up on the stats and I promise you his stats aren't as good as walcotts. Walcott this season has scored 2 less goals than bale has but played a lot les due to injury, his goals per minute is at about 80 odd where as bales is 100 odd. Walcott also has more assists, has created more chances and has also won more free kicks. Check the books if you don't believe me. If he's the 3rd best player in the world then why is there no talk of him getting player of the season? Its all about the likes of suarez and van persie and co. not to mention the xabi alonso's, xavi's and iniesta's that play in spain as well as the likes of neymar, aguero, robben and ribery, el sharaawy, kompany, silva, and also to back up my point where was he in the team of the year if he's supposedly so good. At the end of the day I didn't say he was awful, but in the intrest of football, he should not be going to barcelona! Real madrid, man city, man united maybe. But barcelona, its probably the only team in the world he'd be an outcast but he would be, they have to much class in their starting 11 to drop any of them for a welsh diver who's have a good 2 seasons!

I think you'll find Bale will b the third player in contention for player of the season. RVP has been bang average the last 3 months so I'd say bale has surpassed him in the race for player of the season, only suarez stands in his way as far as I'm concerned

Firstly, about Bale not being able to do barcas style, a world class player can adapt to play to different styles
secondly I think Bale should go to Bayern they have done very well this season and have some good young talent, and bale cold replace riberyand or robben who are getting on a bit and are too selfish for guardiolas
finally, with the comment about walcott being better than bale, if you look only at goals and assists yes, but that is not good enough as that depends on the team around them, if you look at the average chances created per minutes, bale doubles walcott this season, and beats him on clear cut chances and goals on top of that bale is very dominant and look at the way he pushes back defenders and opens space for team mates, walcott cannot match that, few players can

El shawaary, Robben, Ribery are not as good as bale, shawaary doesn't have the same presence, doesn't dominate an doesn't win games on his own.

Ribery an Robben are talented beyond belief, but are extreamly inconsistent, which is why they won't be remembered as great players, Bale has the ability to win games, an to have an impact when it matters, then bring his consistency in to it an then you really see why he's a top player who I think is better than ribery, robben an yes better than pedro an sanchez
