I have just read 2 disturbing transfer rumours.

Apparently looking at Carlton Cole and Samaras from Celtic. Surely no one would be happy with these?

I really hope these are just rumours

Defiantly not Carlton Cole but samaras is good he does get goals something we're in need of.

Agree6 Disagree4

{Ed007's Note - The Samaras I have been watching the last 6 years doesn't get goals, he is actually a left-winger and is the most frustrating player I have even seen in a Celtic top. And I'm nearly 40!}

Admittedly I don't watch Scottish football any more so I don't know what sameras is like week in week out but I have watched Celtic a lot in Europe over the last 2 years an he has been very good an excellent against Barcarole recently, I'd have him at villa park, I think he's a far better player than when he was at ManC

Signing C Cole would not make sense when we have Helenius who I think is a better footballer

Agree10 Disagree1

Cole is a donkey. he seldom scores and seldom passes to a team mate. Whoever said he is a striker needs to visit specsavers.

Agree9 Disagree1

Sanaras is not a bad player be good along side steven defour but I would not have carlton cole he is a donkey and can not shoot

Agree8 Disagree1

If we sign can't control then this will show how low it has gotten at Villa.

Agree2 Disagree3

Neither of these players would improve our squad and what point is there in signing players of equal or less quality then we currently have?

Agree5 Disagree4

Listened to the villa radio to day we are buying lesscot for £6m and Wilfred zaha on loan also we are going for Steven defour for £7m as we'll love to see all of them at villa park they will be great singings hope they all come

Agree9 Disagree2

Celtic fan here guy's, Samaras is a frustrating player world beater one week mince the next week

Agree4 Disagree0

Papers are saying £40m for Defour. Where do we get £6/7m.

Agree2 Disagree3

40 mill for a player who doesn't start for Porto? Tell me what your smoking as I could do with some

Agree5 Disagree0

Lescott is out of contract in the summer so 6mil is just ridiculous, only the worlds top players would be worth 6mil with 5 months left on contract

Agree4 Disagree0

Smoking nothing sonny, just reading the daily papers, not saying that they are correct.
Read the news yourself.

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't know what paper your reading then because I can't see that anywhere.6 mill is about right for a player of his standard

Agree2 Disagree1

Cant list newspapers as the ed will change the wording but I can tell you that I am looking at Tuesdays "femail" paper, page78 and reporter Chris Wheeler has identified targets for Moyes and he identifies that Villa have shown interest but the real price is £40m.
Only reporting fact.
May not agree but it is in the papers.

Agree1 Disagree2

Chris Wheeler in an up market red top, page 78.

Agree1 Disagree3

How can you disagree? It was in the press, perhaps you can't read?

allegedly Villa may be in for Lewis Holtby. Most likely a loan move, however if we could get him permanently it would be great. Creates a lot of chance and his running would be great alongside Delph.

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Not gunna happen

Agree10 Disagree1

Again would be good, but can't see that one coming off.
just seen on tv that Cardiff, Norwich, Swansea and someone else in for Zaha on loan, seriously, why aren't we in the mix for him would be a great addition.
with West Ham in trouble I love to have a cheeky bid on Matty Jarvis.
also i'd love if those Barton rumours came to fruition

Agree4 Disagree7

Would be a great signing! If it's on loan (which i'm presuming it would be) I can't see why it wouldn't happen as there is a lot of competition for places at Spurs and he's quite far down the pecking order suppose it would just come down to wages for a change.

Agree4 Disagree2

Highly unlikely, unfortunately, as holtby is just the type of player we are after as we continue in search of some guile and creativity.

if, and that's a big IF, we sign sign anyone at all it won't be for a couple of weeks at least

Agree3 Disagree2

Would love to see Holtby but I can't see it unless it's a sweetner for a Benteke deal.

After yet another abysmal show on Saturday there can be little doubt in anyone's mind that we URGENTLY (now not in two weeks or at the end of the window) need a decent CB, a creative midfielder and a striker as a MINIMUM

Agree6 Disagree3

Spurs have Adebayor, Soldado & Defoe and don't have CL football! they can't afford to have Benteke also.

Agree7 Disagree0

Would prefer Gyilfi Sigg, can score and create, wanted him before he went to spuds, just what we need UTV

Looks like we're serious about Steven Defour.

Let's hope we can get a deal for Defour sorted before the arsenal game

Believable11 Unbelievable2

I've heard even if all terms and conditions are agreed, it won't go through til at least the 10th of January as agents and lawyers have a break/holiday and come back for the remainder of the window, good signing though if it comes off, would love a good striker and experienced CB though on top

Agree7 Disagree3

Just like we were with belhanda, love it to happen but guessing we'll have to make do with the budget January sale option- hoolahan

Finch

Agree7 Disagree1

No chance now that it looks like Bents loan is being terminated.
Bent, Given, Ireland, Hutton, Nzogbia, Bennet. when will their contracts end as its obvious we won't play them nor does anyone else really want them.

Agree5 Disagree2

Bent can't have loan terminated, it is for 1 year, even if he comes back fulham will have to pay his wages, just like with Jenas. UTV

Agree7 Disagree1

Personally I hope Bent comes back so we can use him. I know there's bigger problems than strikers at the moment but some expierience wouldn't be a bad thing, and he's better than any of our other strikers on current form. Woth Marc Albrighton finding form again, might be worth having Bent to find the end of some crosses, especially with Kozak out for the rest of the season.

Agree5 Disagree4

Bent on the end of Albrighton's crosses? So Bent will be taking the throw ins then?

Agree4 Disagree5

If Fulham don't use Bent, maybe they'd be interested in giving him back?

Agree1 Disagree0

We have enough in attack its the back line and the creative edge we lack. And Even if it was the attack, I think your forgetting how lazy bent was for us. He would be the last player we need to get us out of this mess!
