We'll just shows Bruce isn't the problem, dominated, made chance after chance, couldn't finish their dinner. Grealish brilliant for first goal then disappeared and seemingly forgot he was on a yellow, just when we was turning the screw. Absolutely gutted but ultimately blame falls at Grealish's door for the loss, but either way we had 5 or 6 clear chances before that, have to me more clinical!

04 Feb 2017 19:35:04
Are you having a laugh mate, dominated?

04 feb 2017 19:44:41
i don't know how everybody can back steve bruce he loses football matches on a weekly basis his football dreadful to watch! bruce out lose lose lose stop saying sorry.

04 Feb 2017 19:49:04
Agree with Grealish he he'd no need to get a second yellow 80 yards from goal when he fouled him. Created enough chances to win the game but how many times have we heard that. Kodja showed what little work rate he has when they had the ball Hogan did his running for him. Genuinely worried as we drop far too deep every game. We invite teams on and are sitting ducks. We had four breakaways one of them 4 v 3 and we weren't good enough to finish.

04 Feb 2017 20:16:27
Said on this forum 2 weeks ago, Grealish is a liability on the pitch as well as off it.
This is not hindsight. Check out my post.
We played better than Tuesday night (not difficult) .
Can't blame Bruce for rank stupidity (Grealish) . We should have offloaded him when/ if we had the chance.

04 Feb 2017 20:44:53
Grealish is a liability, and will never be good enough for us, it is showing already he is too comfortable at VP and will end up the same as Gabby.
Also too slow for me guys, the bloke never changes anything does the same thing every game.

04 Feb 2017 20:59:03
Other than possession we dominated upto grealish getting sent off. How can Bruce be the problem when we create chance after chance and can't finish, how do you work that out? Please I'm interested. Bottom line we should of won that, cleared off the line twice, 7 on targets and keeper made a few worldies.

04 Feb 2017 21:21:47
Said weeks ago that grealish is the most over hyped player I've ever known, and I was ribbed for it. Point proven again tonight, one decent pass ( which most players could play) then disappeared again. Strolls round the pitch like his villas messi or Ronaldo. Sell him as soon as bloody liability. on the plus side hogan looks a real threat.

04 Feb 2017 21:27:35
Never said Bruce is the problem, I predicted he would become manager days before he was named.
He was my choice and still is, at the moment.
According to stats the possession was 71% to 29%, shots: forest 17/6 - Villa 11/8.
That is not dominating a game in my book.

04 Feb 2017 21:40:28
Mate I get you don't agree we dominated but forest 17 shots? Come on. For us;
Hogan (just wide)
Kodija (goal)
Elphic (drop down off freekick)
Elphic (back post free header)
Hogan (cleared off the line)
Hogan (saved)
Chester (from freekick ridiculous save)

For them;
Free kick first half just wide
Their goal (have to call it a chance but not by their doing that was the keeper gifting them a goal)
Their goal

There's the real chances in the game, not deflected passes that run through to the keeper or shooting from miles out.
They win yet their keeper gets MOTM? We should of won today, we dominated.

04 Feb 2017 21:54:21
Sorry to be a pain mate but those are my stats, BBC stats, and Flashscore stats.
Agree or not that's what I saw, and we did not dominate.
Look I am Villa mad, not some idiot out to criticise every thing they do.
Your stats above tell me you were pulling the pints for most of the game.

04 Feb 2017 22:11:10
So what I said wasn't the real chances then? In real life we dominated as I proved with the proper chances from the game, hence why their keeper got man of the match. To the modern day stats fan we didn't dominate, possession is all and anything that makes its way through to the keeper gets chalked up and then counts for a chance. Forget the Stats board and watch the football.

05 Feb 2017 08:47:31
We may have had all the chances, but we never looked like winning or wanted to win. Dr T suggests we are planning for next season, so that's the plan, can anyone tell me have we won a match since Colin Calderwood arrived?

05 Feb 2017 10:00:11
We need to press higher up the pitch as I said yesterday. Hogan showed us and the rest of the team how to do it but Kodja was missing when they had possession. Add to that the fact that the defence were 20 yards too deep causing the midfield to get isolated. If we press as one unit it works and then we can break play up and counter quickly as we showed last night. We back off too much, how many goals have we conceded when defenders have backed off.

05 Feb 2017 10:20:56
Never looked like winning? EH? So what do you class a looking like winning?

05 Feb 2017 11:23:16
chris, I did watch the football and you will never convince me we dominated that game.
I see football through clear eyes not eyes tinted with my teams colours, if we get beat fair play accept it.
I am not claiming to be any sort of expert but when I watch Villa I also watch the other side as well and give credit where its due, as it happens I was watching Villa for 29 minutes yesterday out of the allotted 94 minutes.
I watch football 7 days a week mate, somewhere between 1000 and 1200 games a year, so very unfair to say watch the football.
I must say I thought Forrest played very well and deserved the win.

05 Feb 2017 11:57:30
Just to add, I forgot to address your statement from your previous post that started "So what I said wasn't the real chances then? In real life we dominated as I proved with the proper chances from the game".
You proved Jack to me, your remarks are correct about our efforts, well done, but way off the mark with Forrest`s, watch the replay.

05 Feb 2017 11:49:15
Dave don't get me wrong I'm not saying you don't know your football it's all opinions at the end of the day. I believe in the chances made and quality of chances we dominated, you on the whole don't and although I do see where your coming from I still think we did.

I don't just watch the Villa when we play but I think we were the better side yesterday but at the end of the day only one thing matters and unfortunately we lost. It's all opinions, but now I have to ask if you only watched 29 minutes how can you judge the game accurately other than on the stats?

05 Feb 2017 13:06:08
Thank you for your reply chris, I am not getting you wrong mate, I am replying and responding to your comments.
As to the 29 minutes, chris mate think about it, it equates to villa having the ball for 29 minutes as opposed to Forrest having the ball 65 minutes more than twice as long as us.
It will get better I am sure with our new squad, but I think we must stick with a team now and plan for next season.
Bye the way I do agree with plenty you say on here but not this so it`s nothing personal.

05 Feb 2017 13:48:18
Yea I know mate it's hard not to sound personal when writing on here, I really do get your point. I thought you meant you watched 29 minutes my bad. Hopefully we can use these last few games to really dominate where it's not just chances and they give us performances we both can agree on haha.

05 Feb 2017 20:00:51
Never looked like winning!
Getting caught with ball, giving away possession all over the pitch, not playing the easy ball, showing no confidence in each other, before CC arrived we seemed to be stronger all round, perhaps I'm completely wrong.

What I do know we have a good owner who has the passion to succeed, we need to back Dr T all the way.
The money spent in January has been well spent for the Championship, SB will sort it, we don't need any more change.
