Aston Villa have agreed a fee with Molde for Vegard Forren, the highly rated centre back with fly in on Friday for a medical.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Agree2 Disagree5

The same player who fulham are bidding for!

Agree3 Disagree5

He has signed for Fulham !

Agree2 Disagree7

How can he join Everton - they have no money.

Agree2 Disagree3

dunne warnock hutton given ireland all available on a free. bent will not be sold for less than 10m or lambert will keep him.
this will save 250 to 300 thousand pound a week.
players targeted in.
robinson gk blackburn. happy to return to premiership
huddlestone loan with a view to buy for 5m
phillips from blackpool. delfounseo going the other way plus 3 m
dawson spurs will also join for 6m but demands release clause if relegated

this does not all stack up to the reported 10m we have to spend..
communication with arsenal has been confirmed. is it bent ??

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Sounds fantastic and just what we need....definitely think we should hold out for 10m for Bent...my fear is nobody is gonna want ireland, given, dunne etc cuz of their wages!! But the 250k - £350k per week we save on wages adds up to 9m between now and June..!

Agree4 Disagree1

Yes I am sure Lerner would let Lambert transfer some of those wages into transfer money, but add Aubameyang onto that list and it looks solid, however is Huddleston that good?

Agree3 Disagree2

Huddlestone is one of the most technically gifted players in the Tottenham team imo. He just not as mobile as other Tottenham players. He would be the perfect fit I really want him

Agree2 Disagree5

Sounds interesting, but is he a good tackler and physically dominant?

Agree1 Disagree2

Bent will not be sold for less than 10 million which basically means bent wont be sold

Agree1 Disagree0

Y get Robinson we have guzan and given and seigrist and Marshall. We have enough decent keepers.

Is there any truth in villa wanting to sign nathan redmond?

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Wouldn't want him, a big head who things he's better than what he is and isn't that good! Blues fans don't rate him

Agree6 Disagree4

Redmond is a talented player with real potential, but we all know we don't need any more players with "potential", we need proven quality, ready made prem players

Is aubameyang signing or wat we need this to hurry up before the toon steal him {Ed002's Note - After a year at St Etienne Aubameyang has attracted the attention of Fiorentina, Manchester City, Manchester United, Zenit St Pete, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Spurs and PSG, probably amongst others. He has said in the past the one day his dream would be to return to play with a great Milan side. I didn't see him leaving the Geoffroy-Guichard in January but I understand that if a significant bid is made that St Et will give it due consideration. Such a bid is being pondered by Fiorentina.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

He would be an amazing signing. Just what we need some creativity, width and pace.

been supporting this club for nearly 30 years and i think this is the worst team we had, but with that im starting to think who is going to want to sign for us other than mid table championship players, where we will be next season anyway

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Benteke, Weimann & Bent aren't Championship standard!

Agree9 Disagree5

Beneteke and weimann are going to be great but right now we need proven players, bent just hasnt been the man he can be since young and downing left, ,

Agree6 Disagree3

And this would be nothing to do with the service that he on longer gets?

Darren Bent in talks with Charlton over a short term loan move.

What does anyone think on Wilson Placios hecwould be cheap as not playing much for stoke and we need an experienced battler in the middle of the park?

Believable10 Unbelievable7

He'd be perfect. Especially. Benteke aside we have no physical presence in the team

Paul Lambert is expected to approach Cardiff City for permission to talk to Peter Whittingham. This follows an approach that Lambert made while Manager of Norwich City. Whittingham hails from the Midlands and would jump at the chance to return to Villa.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Think he would be a good sub player for us but not going to help right now, but if things carry on as we are hes not gonna wanna leave a promotion looking team for one thats getting relegatored

Agree5 Disagree4

Another championship player that will not improve us. If PL signs him it will prove that he is inept.

Agree6 Disagree5

A bloke we let go 5 years ago. seriously going backwards if we go for him. he is no better than albrighton who i think is not good enough anyway

Agree4 Disagree3

bent 6 million to qpr
Austin from Burnley to the super villa for 5 million

Sources have said we have 10million I don't think that's true I think it would be about 15-20million. With that we can buy an experienced centre back - lescott or hangeland. Also we can buy and cdm - Huddlestone or Diame and finally a striker - either hooper or augbameyang. If we can't afford that the selling of bent would help a lot that would be at least another 8-12 million.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Would love lescott, huddlestone and aughameyang. not sure hooper would hack it in the prem and don't see diame leaving west ham for us same as hangeland.

Aston Villa have enquired for Michael Dawson, PL sees Dawson as the ideal 'leader' of his young defence. Dawson is reportedly keen to move away from Tottenham given his treatment by AVB at the start of the season.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

03 Jan 2013 09:17:57
Rumour has it that hangeland as jumped in front of lesscott as our defensive target wouldn't mind either to be honest

And would anyone take a chance on joey Barton

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Hate barton would cry if we signed that mug

Agree10 Disagree4

Def have Barton. I know he hot headed but has experience and would kick a few up arse that we need.

Agree6 Disagree8

Barton is scum, besides we couldn't afford his wages.

Agree7 Disagree1

Barton is a player we love to hate, when he is in the side and playing well he seems to be the player they love but we still love to hate.

Agree4 Disagree1

If Barton is playing for your team you would love him, if he was playing for the oppersition you would hate him...

so theres reports linking us with dorrans, complete waste of money in my opinion so overrated

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Yes 2.5 million and Ireland go the other way

Agree2 Disagree9

Are you mad Ireland is twice the player Dorrans s but he needs some quality around him, something that we lack in abundance.

Agree6 Disagree4

Would get rid of ireland in a second. absolute waste of space. why would wba want him!

Agree1 Disagree6

Do people who go to watch the Villa actually comment on here? Ireland has been one of our better players this season when he has played. Is it his fault if delph, el ahmadi, bannan and co are not in sync with the way he plays. For the sake of the team then maybe he is not the right fit for us but for people to slate him as not being good enough and not putting in a performance need to get real!

Met an injured 1st team player at physio centre yesterday bent is on way.he is a great striker and saved us from relegation but since we lost young and downing which was his supply chain and we won't be playing that style of football anymore then its time to cash jn and move on does anyone disagree

Believable5 Unbelievable7

We're apparently closing in on a loan deal for Scott Sinclair, he'd be a great signing & would give Bent & Benteke something to feed off.

A good player that would possible come to villa, Danny Simpson what do you think?

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I think we need a solid CB and also a creative CAM because lets face it villa irland is sht and we need someone with a pit of flair and energy on the attack

Agree4 Disagree3

I think we need some energy and flair in the middle of the park also i no it is out of reach but a santi carzola sort of player that has a bit of flair and offers a bit of a diffrent option on the attack. Also we need an exspirienced cb eg. LESSCOTT he would put the young bys in there place and get spirits up when we conseede

Agree4 Disagree3

Yes yes yes!!

Agree2 Disagree2

Danny Simpson wouldnt change anything at Villa currently.

Need to sort out the supply chain to Benteke and Wiemann. Maybe we have to sacrifice Gabby, Bent, Warnock, Dunne, NZogbia, Ireland and Hutton so that we can really get the four or five guys that we need.

Id like to see Derek Boateng as a ball winner and physical presence in the middle, Wilfried Zaha/Matt Phillips/Scott Sinclair as a creative presence, Scott Parker/Arteta type in the middle (not saying those two specifically - but a linking player better than Ireland) and perhaps this Augbamayang fellow who has shown great flair in front of goal recently.

Lescott is a pipe dream im sad to say, but even a Robert Huth type, who is no nonsense and very physical (dont like him at all and think hes dirty - but Villa need someone like that to get amongst it and not back down) to help keep it together at the back.

Agree6 Disagree2

Outstanding couldnt agree more, only thing i would add is instead the striker you named go for hooper
