First of all people there is money to spend in January. is everybody forgetting the Amarvi money? Sam Johnsone will come cheap his contract runs out at the end of the season. Also I'm not getting all this hate for Hogan he just needs a goal that's all he is a goalscorer its been proven eg like Bruces record they both have a good cv. Get behind the lads win lose or draw. doesn't matter if we don't go up I would rather go up when we are ready than go through what we did 2 years ago. UTV.

Walkies-has your therapist ever said to the words 'split personality' at all? because you, my friend, are exibiting text book symptoms! -i don't think anyone dislikes hogan, but there are those who believe we'll have to sell a player or two for brucey to bring in players he wants, united want a fee for johnsone, if we want him in january, and as for you saying get behind the lads win, lose or draw-perhaps your memory has deserted you fella, i seem to remember you baying for bruceys' and the teams' blood because no matter what, they weren't good enough? this is a bit too weird fella, i think i'm going to take some time away and assess what the heck is going on, so over to you walkies, you crack on with your good cop, bad cop routine!

Don't hate Hogan but he is poor, would sell but no one would buy, not at the price we would wont, Please tell me a game for villa he has been good,

Man U have a clause to extend Johnstones contract by a year, he’ll only come cheap if they want to mug themselves off. No one dislikes hogan, but we’ve been hearing for 10months “all he needs is a goal” “we don’t play to his strengths”.

Classof82 do you know how much these psychiatrists cost me its crazy lol still can't find a good 1 ha. So I will give you my view very honestly some won't agree but there you go Iam used to being hated on here lol. In my view I will always get behind the team during the game no matter what I don't belive in booing or over top celebrations. Hogan is a goalscorer his record proves it same as Steve Bruce his promotion record.

Both are not that great but we have to stick by them because of their record in the championship. Now do I think this side can get promoted yes I do. Do I think Steve Bruce is the man to keep if we do go up hell no. His football style won't last a second in the premier league we give the ball away far to often an honestly I would be terrified to see a Steve Bruce side against Manchester City or spurs.

You say I have slated Bruce and the team but that's not always correct when we win Iam positive we have had some fantastic performances and some awful performances aswel when we have been awful I won't say we have been great I go to every game so my supports there for the team and manager I just think the manager isn't good enough at times and that hinders us but sometimes he is good.

In this league you can get away with it but in the premier league you need to keep the ball you have to have a style of play and a plan B. I love this club and just want the best for it there's my view.

Hogan needs games with Davis, not 10 min cameos, can't judge him on that

walk. the. walk, you say it very well here, I agree. But if we get promoted this season, which I believe will happen too.
I think Bruce should be sacked then, he hasn't done well with the teams that he managed in the Premier League.

By that time, I think we could appoint Villas-Boas as the ideal Aston Villa-manager.

Agree 100 percent hnchmchl.

Any of you cheeky chappies hearing that hogan may be allowed to leave in january to help fund trying to buy sam johnston? heard it on the radio and a few bloggers who aren't normally that far off the truth, much as i think johnston is a good keeper, IF, we sell hogan i would prefer if we bought hugill from preston (for me he's class, and there's a touch of the sheringhams' with how he reads the game), or another striker i wish we'd buy is ollie watkins, said he was good a couple of years ago, now he's in the championship at brentford he still looks class, defo premiership quality, and as for a keeper, why don't we try and get tim krull in on loan from brighton, as i remember it, he didn't let newcastle down, but just to put it out there, if we need to sell a striker in january, frizbee off kodjia, he's all about him and would drop us like a stone if a premiership club came in for him, which they will do in january for sure-wouldn't want to be steve bruce in january, his mobile is going to be in meltdown i reckon!

Hogan seems awful to me, we’d only get 2/ 3mil for him. He probably touched the ball twice in 20 minutes against blues, once to give the ball to their full back and once to miss control and put it out for a throw. This whole “he’s the best striker in the league we don’t play to his strengths” is a myth, he’s had chances, hundreds of them, he just misses them. If we play 442 anytime soon with Kodj our it will be hogan and Davis up top, maybe then he can prove me wrong.

30 Oct 2017 08:57:35
I think Hogan would suit playing with Davis,
Hogan is better than he is showing for me,
At Brentford who are a footballing team who pass mostly on the floor he looked very good with his movement and finishing,
Bruce's teams do not play that way so I understand why it's not working for him,
Playing alongside Davis who can see a pass and with his hold up play it could well suit him,
With kodija it's a different ball game because he is not a team player,
So I'm hoping for Hogan to get his scoring boots on against Preston,

30 Oct 2017 11:42:32
Don’t think we’ll play 442 against Preston away, their decent team. And with that hogan can’t lead a line on his own.

30 Oct 2017 12:06:58
Bruce has been saying for ages he has been waiting to play 442 and now was the time yet he changed it yesterday with one up front,
So I will be disappointed if we play one up front tomorrow,
It seems to me he can't make his mind up now!

30 Oct 2017 17:50:24
He makes up his mind, otherwise we wouldn’t have a team. It’s basic football, if you can’t see why he picks to have an extra man in the midfield sometimes then I don’t understand what your actually watching. Second city derby - we lose that and it’s like losing 5 games at once, we cannot lose, keep it tight in the midfield don’t give them space. Fulham at home - decent team, play good football, dominate the midfield, throw an extra man in to choke them out. Preston away - decent team, no far off us, have an extra man in the middle to keep it tight for an hour then mix it up.

31 Oct 2017 07:27:57
Would you say we looked Better when Davis came on to partner kodija?
Bruce is a negative manager who sets all his team's up not to lose and to keep it tight,
I don't care if it was a derby against our rivals we could have won that game with more positive tactics,

31 Oct 2017 07:48:27
Why keep it tight against Preston?
They have most of there defence out injured,
Surely we must take advantage of there weakness,
If Bruce sends his team out again to sit back and hope for that breakaway goal I will not be happy,
What I want to see is a little more adventure with his tactics,

31 Oct 2017 13:52:03
dream on.

31 Oct 2017 14:06:29
Bruce is also using a midfielder as a striker or as a defender or the other way around like he did with Onomah and Davis against Birmingham. I hated the fact that Bruce used Davis as a midfielder and Onomah as a striker, they should only for the most part play in their natural positions.

31 Oct 2017 17:02:45
If you think Davis has been used as a midfielder and Onomah as a striker, I’d get down to spec savers or just give up with football mate.
