No. Belhanda. He's gone to Kiev, according to Sky

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Disappointment to hear this tonight, would of been a good signing. So much for wanting to play in the premiership, money talks I guess!

Agree8 Disagree0

It wasn't realistic anyway

Agree6 Disagree5

Why wasn't it realistic?

Did we not almost sign him?

Infact we only missed out cus Kiev apparently gave him 80k a week instead of the 40k a week we offered him.

Chadli is the alternative, maybe.

Agree9 Disagree1

Not even seen this confirmed on sky yet this morning or bbc

Agree2 Disagree3

Is it any more realistic that we will be in for this Nacer Chadli feller for 8.5 million?

Agree5 Disagree0

Swansea also chasing Nacer Chadli so I guess the competition will push his asking price and wage demands upwards

Agree3 Disagree0

I, for one, would be interested to know the feelings of all the fans who continuously posted on here that the Belhanda deal was going to happen.

I was the one who was shot down for quoting Matt Kendrick who at the outset confirmed this was a none starter, who turned out to be right after all.

And before anybody tries to counter by saying Belhanda rejected us because we wouldn't pay big wages (or whatever waffle you choose to make up) please ensure you provide proof (press report, statement, words from the player himself) and not just 'what you heard'.

Agree4 Disagree7

Buddy, this is your time to gloat, I remember the post, like many on this site, by that point, we assumed that Belhanda would go elsewhere, but we were vilified for trying to be logical about it, I have never seen such aggressive comments over a simple opinion about a potential transfer.

Agree5 Disagree6

'I have never seen such aggressive comments over a simple opinion about a potential transfer'

I have to agree with that. As a big Villa fan and one who would have loved Belhanda to sign, I thought I was doing a 'service' to our fans by highlighting what was being reported in a our local press and simply relaying Kendrick's comments.

Villa fans have a reputation with other clubs of being fickle and I think the whole Belhanda saga has highlighted that (the minority in my opinion).

While we can all dream, we need to remember to be logical and realistic. Signing Belhanda would have been a major coup for us but for people to jump all over the band wagon once our name was mentioned and then literally argue the case with anyone who doubted it was quite frankly absurd.

Agree4 Disagree6

I'm so glad the Belhanda saga is over, we can now move on in the real world once again, but before it ends, remember that AVFC have not (ever) stated that Belhanda was signing. That was those supporters who have "sources" in the know, I hope you are all suitably embarrassed by your absurd behavior, I suggest you make your sources, if they existed at all, read all the clap trap written about Belhanda signing for Villa, in the mean time, I can carry on being perplexed about Benteke, because that's quite normal isn't it?

Agree4 Disagree3

To the guy who said he knew all the time then belhanda deal wasn't gunna happen cus Matt Kendrick said so, kendrick said PL wasn't interested in belhanda, well that was wrong because it's a fact we made 2 bids which one was excepted, so in reality we were close to signing him and the only reason belhanda didn't sign was because he went for the massive money on offer.

Agree5 Disagree0

"sources in the know"

1st source was the Montpellier president who confirmed villa made 2 offers, one excepted.

2nd source was belhanda himself who said he'd had contact with villa.

There's proof

Seems like good sources to me.

Agree5 Disagree0

Its a fact we made two bids? Where is there proof they we made two bids for him? You can't use the word fact without clear proof. that's poor mate, really poor.

As I recall when we were first mentioned it was in conjunction with 4/5 other clubs (kiev not being one of them) who according to Montpellier had all met his agreed price and it was up to Belhanda. Fast forward a few weeks and it is being reported that 2 clubs have made bids for him and then he joins Kiev. Are you unable to see the clear contradicton there?

While I quoted Matt Kendrick, I never once claimed it was definately not going to happen because he had said so. Please feel free to read through all the comments on this site in an attempt to find me saying this.

Agree0 Disagree3

So the 'proof' is that it was reported that Montpellier had accepted a bid from Villa?

Im sure you are one of the clowns that chastised me for quoting what Kendrick had said.

So your happy to believe something you read, but something I read was just deemed as nonsensical journalism.

To all the sane (and true) Villians on her, is that irony or what?!

Agree0 Disagree3

Actually mate I didn't make a comment when you spoke of kendrick denying PL was interested in Belhanda, an the reason I didn't comment was because he was talking nonsense, Belhanda had already confirmed contact with villa so Kendrick was so wrong about PL not being interested it would have been a waste of time.

You asked for proof, I said Belhanda confirming contact with villa was proof enough to me, and Montpellier's president confirming offers from villa is also proof.

The truth is the only proof you'd believe is if Lambert turned up at your door an told you we made an offer. Lol

Open your eyes an see the obvious

Agree3 Disagree0

Again, please read my comments. I never said Kendrick denied PL was interested. I clearly said that from what Kendrick had heard (whatever his sources are) that all the talk about Belhanda was in France and there was no interest coming from the Villa.

For one so versed in 'proof' I thought you would have had the decency to review my comments before making yet another outrageous comment.

And then to use comments supposedly made by Belhanda as 'proof' is ridiculous. How long have you followed football pal? No player (worth his salt) will say a negatove about another club (loval rivalries aside) as they do not know what the future holds. It seems he was asked what he thought about Aston Villa and those were his comments which surely were expected.

Unfortunately you appear to be bitter about the whole Belhanda saga and have clearly answered my question above about how those fans who were certain it would happen are now feeling.

Get over it mate.

Agree0 Disagree3

LMFAO can't be arsed to go thru it again. All my point was, that villa were interested and were close to signing him and it was realistic.

Seemed obvious to me

Agree2 Disagree0

And my point was it had been reported we weren't interested, we weren't close and it wasnt realistic.

belhanda has signed for dinamo kiev on a 3 year deal it has been confirmed tonight

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I was the 1 that stated it was kiev last week and was mocked for it so up yours to those that doubted it

Agree7 Disagree5

A lot of people left feeling silly with there sources tonight, They should have realised we've done all our spending early.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well since you are obviously so well connected what other rumours do you have for us that no one else knows anything about?
Who ARE we going to sign next?

Agree5 Disagree0

I didn't say i'm well connected mate simply that I read last week that kiev were in for him and stated it on here and got laughed at. I don't have any sources so as for future transfers i'm not too sure unfortunately. I jus sweep the internet all day looking for stories that's how I get information dudes. peace. AVFC 4 LIFE

Agree5 Disagree3

Dear AVFC for life, honest retort, well done. With all this belhanda stuff behind us and so many rumours around in the media, I was thinking what was needed was someone to collate all these rumours / stories and post them on this site, low and behold you have stated you actually surf these sites, would you be interested? Many of us would be very grateful!

It is steer, then again not many people are expected to know other peoples youth players. Also its a bit of a contradiction to call him 'your player' then say he's staying in norwich. Finally with all this in mind why are people speculating about squad numbers? Does anybody really care?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Belhander has apparently been unveiled at Kiev at half time as their new signing so looks like it was all bull***t after all.

Agree4 Disagree2

It's true, belhanda has signed for Kiev. it's on they're official website. looks like the mail was right. shame!

Agree3 Disagree2

It wasn't all bull***t as he stated the move to villa in the press, can only think he was offered more dosh at Kiev!

Lambert going to try and sign Nacer Chadli which will hopefully persuade benteke to stay. Chadli is normal played on the wings but he can play through the centre. Which, if we sign him, will be the position Lambert will want him to play in.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Nobody knows what lambert doing sick of all bull.

Agree9 Disagree0

We also have Tonev now who apparently can play through the middle.

Gossip today states AVFC have placed a £25m price on Benteke, which was supposedly £40m last week, even though the club want him to stay, chances are it's more made up rubbish, let's hope so anyway, however I am surprised there has been no comment from the club about the situation so far. But if there is a possibility that Benetke is to leave, then we may be missing out on an ideal replacement in Cornelius, it appears he is considering an approach from Cardiff, bearing in mind we already have his potential future international striking partner in Helenius.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

It was last reported that spurs were after him but nothing has been said for two weeks on the matter and now all of a sudden the papers are reporting another benteke price tag but with no report of any club after him? Any news ed cus i'm going round the bend here?

Agree3 Disagree0

This is set to go on all window long, Looking at the potential movement of Rooney and £50 mil flop as well as Teves gone think thier will be a bit of a bidding war set to start' may result into keeping Bent, what a turn up that will be, But the big move I think will be Torres and Rooney to Arsenal Probably Benteke to Chelsea for around £35. mil

Agree1 Disagree5

Why would Chelsea want benteke if they have lukaku! that's just silly!

Agree3 Disagree4

Cause benteke is better

Agree6 Disagree3

Right now benteke is better yeah but lukaku has two and a half years on benteke, lukaku will be way better when he's 22
