All over twitter Villa are in for a Dutch defensive mid, also so called insiders say they're is money if a perm deal comes about, just not looking to pay huge loan fees on players ect Zaha, Ince, Lescott.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Holtby can leave for 8-10million would be a great buy for us but can't see it comin off

Agree15 Disagree5

I never knew Hoolahan was dutch, maybe from his moms side of the family.

Agree8 Disagree4

Which dutch defensive mid are you referring to?

Agree2 Disagree6

Load of bull, we can't have any more loans from over here so the bit about high loan fees is a joke.

Agree5 Disagree3

Holtby will go to dortmund

Agree8 Disagree4

Holtby is dortmund-bound

Agree11 Disagree4

Loads of people don't seem to know this. It's loans from the same division, not country, so we could get another loan in from another premiership club.

Agree4 Disagree8

Absolute lies again
Nothing on twitter why do some of you lot bother posting absolute bs
Common anybody got any genuine rumours?

Agree11 Disagree2

We can loan two players from the English League not the same division, and as we already have Holt and Bertrand we cannot loan another from either the Prem or Championship.

We can however have as many loan players from Europe as we like, however I am not entirely sure how this would apply to the 25 man squad limit.

Agree5 Disagree3

Don't know if this has been posted but the Mirror and Birmingham Mail mentioned PL was weighing up a deal for Midfielder Eunan O'Kane at Bournemouth.

They mentioned his performance against Liverpool, although I would be disappointed if we bought on the basis of one performance, especially as you would expect players to raise their game against higher league opposition.

Given PL's transfer strategy - he is only 23 and plays in a lower division, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at VP (if another team doesn't dig deeper first!).

Agree6 Disagree6

Its Jordy Claise

Agree4 Disagree6

2-0 after 8mins? sorry but we are the worst team in prem and are going down

Agree0 Disagree13

Um pretty sure it's 2-2, keep believing

Agree7 Disagree5

3-2 up now woop

Agree7 Disagree1

Hello 3-2 almost four don't run before you can walk

Agree6 Disagree4

3-3 dear oh dear ho dear we are crap

Agree1 Disagree12

4-3 sunshine, and if your that fed up why follow us, keep the faith

Agree12 Disagree3

Yeah like you were saying that after 8 mins

Agree8 Disagree3

As there was still 82 mins left so I hadn't given up like some, we should enjoy a massive and much needed win

Agree8 Disagree3

I always had faith :) good win but defence will be strengthened when okore returns. Would love to see gabby played in cam he recently stated he sees himself playing there eventually.

Agree2 Disagree4

I don't even think the back 4 was our problem against WBA or Liverpool, it's the midfield who are like statues when we don't have the ball that is the real problem.

Agree9 Disagree3

Gabby play CM? That's a joke right?

>Scg87

Agree8 Disagree2

Gabby CAM, what a joke! You need touch, vision and awareness. As much as I like Gabby, he has none of these. Also "I don't even think the back 4 was our problem against WBA. ". Are you having a laugh? Did you see Clarke trying to defend against Anichibe? Far too tight every time, exactly like the game Everton game a while ago at Goodison. He won nothing in the air and got rolled/out musceled everytine. He has learnt nothing. And Lowton was worse than useless. Delph and Westwood worked tirelessly. However, Ahmadi is terrible. He must have pics of Lambert in a compromising position to keep getting picked!

Agree2 Disagree4

WBA caused us very few problems problems in regards to the back 4, they've actually put in some solid individual performances the last 2 games.

The problems were when WBA had so much time an space on the ball 30-40 yards from goal an that's the midfielders responsibility.

Westwood an Delph stood around watching brunt an Morrison jog past them, if Delph an Westwood actually tried closing down an win some tackles then the defence wouldn't be left with players running directly at them, no defence at that level can be put under so much pressure without buckling at some point.

Although I'm not KEAs biggest fan, the one thing he must be given credit for is his aggression and willingness to make tackles, the amount of times KEA would close down make a tackle an then turn around shouting as to why he wasn't being backed up was laughable.

Delph is good going forward with quick feet an agility but he's not contributing enough defensively an Westwood looks so lazy an unwilling to make a challenge that we are so easy to play through.

All our defensive issues stems from our poor midfield.

Wes Hooligan fee agreed.1 million and wages 25,000 a week. fair play to the lad as he was rumoured to be on 40,000 a week at Norwich.

Believable3 Unbelievable22

Not true

Agree9 Disagree3

Load of rubbish, , dream on he's staying at Norwich

Agree4 Disagree9

O. K. then give us Delia instead.

Agree4 Disagree3

What do you mean "Dream on"? It's more like a bad dream. I just can't understand why people are so desperate for us to sign this guy? He may play in a position in which we are crying out for someone, but he can't get in a Norwich side that are below us in the table and have scored even fewer goals than we have! He has managed only 7 games in 6 years for what has been a very average Republic of Ireland side. He maybe the type of player we need, and I realise the financial constraints we are operating under, but surely as fans we should be setting our sights a little higher. In my opinion Norwich are welcome to keep paying his rumoured £40k a week wages to sit in the stands.

Agree11 Disagree5

I don't think any villa fan would see Hoolahan as an ideal signing but he is better than what we have so in our desperation we'll take him.

An only because he don't get first teams for Norwich I wouldn't take that as a sign of his ability or lack of ability, I mean Hughton don't even like picking hooper for gods sake so I think the issue is with the negative manager.

No chance he was on £40 grand a week at Norwich.

MOST DRAINAGE RUMOUR OF THE DAY!
Arsenal want Draxler £36.8mill & Benkeke (£25mill plus NB)

£25mill plus Nicholas what bulls%$t

Believable2 Unbelievable12

I think Wenger has been promised 100 million to spend on players if he signs a new contract.

Agree4 Disagree5

25m and. Bentner, that means they value Big Ben at 30m as bentner is worth f a to any club. How many goals has he scored, is he in the top 100 of strikers? Take it to the marines as the saying goes.

The Rumour on the grapevine but with no endorsed source is that PL on recommendation from his scouts as well as Vlaar is after Jordy Clasie said to cost £6.5mill.

I know sceptics might say that other better team in the ECL maybe a more likely destination or we need a CB/AM, however the fact is that PL see him as a player that could easily playthe coveted No 10 Position with the added tenacity and ability to defend from up the field/superb passer/can score and reads the game well

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Rumour on the grapevine? More like it was posted here a few days ago.
Three things wrong with this,
1 he won't come on loan, and we're not spending.
2 he never played for Norwich.
3 he's names not Hoolahan.
Look mate were not buying anyone so just enjoy tonight's game UTV.

Agree7 Disagree9

You have to say to yourself - who saw us being able to buy Okore? nobody! So let's hope there is some truth into the Clasie rumours.

Agree8 Disagree4

Would like this one to happen but if i'm honest I can't see lerner putting has hands in his pocket for us any more think he lost interest in the villa so won't expectany marque signing

Agree4 Disagree6

Okore and the rest were bought for season ticket sales, especially after Sylla and Steven Hawkins were the only winter additions. (remember how badly we needed help back then). I don't think they are too concerned about season ticket sales at this time of year hence the two loans so far.

Agree5 Disagree6

Lambert has a very good poker face, if there are any players in the pipeline we won't know till they are done, prime example Ryan Bertrand no one on here saw that coming

Agree8 Disagree3

Yeah and also no one on here saw Simon Dawkins coming last season.

Agree7 Disagree2

Why do people use their depressed preconceptions to make assumptions? We won't sign this or that because boo-hoo everything is terrible. Doesn't go with the evidence that when Lambert really wants someone there is usually up to 6-8m and a decent contract. Okore, Vlaar, Benteke, Kozak and bids/enquiries for Kiyotake/Defour/ many other decent players who are KEY rather than filler.
