Villa linked with Aaron cresswell again and full back Babe from Porto

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Babe? who is she? and cresswell will not happen, do we really need 3 lbs when we are crying out for a solid midfielder? NO

Agree10 Disagree0

Trade Bennett for cresswell in January if Bennett doesn't step up to the plate

Agree4 Disagree7

No thanks would honestly rather have bennett, if cresswell was really that good lambo would have got him instead of bennett last year don't u think?

Agree4 Disagree2

I don't think they would accept anything close to a straight swap, cash, loans on top would have to be involved.

Hearing reports that Steven Ireland and Barry Bannan could be part of a move for Blackpool lad tom Ince.

Finch

Believable8 Unbelievable7

If this happens it would be deep joy all round

Agree10 Disagree1

Would be a good bit of buisiness if it happens ince has good potential and ireland and bannon of tbe books would be lovely so pl can plan for some mre gems in jan think too late in the window now

Agree8 Disagree1

How will blackpool fund irelands wages?
can see bannan going there though

Agree8 Disagree1

I have strong contacts telling me this afternoon and this evening, that Bannan is most certainly going to part of any deal involving young Tom Ince, but the suggestions of Ireland are inaccurate. Tom Ince at VP would be incredible, comes highly recommended from his dad.
Azza

Agree9 Disagree1

Not being a killjoy, but although T. Ince has a lot of potential, he is definitely not at the high level required to fill the void of our coveted AM role.

His not a player that would have changed much in a big game, say the game against Chelski, Jose would not have made any preferential orders to accommodate him, his no Mata or Hazard. do you see where I'm going with this, his not a big game changer, at least not yet, Tonev is much more effective e. g. Bannan would be called Messi at championship level

His not a marquee signing, but would have been a good addition to the squad if not for our clearly overpriced English players, instead we got Bacuna who might prove to be a better acquisition.

We should be looking a affordable realistic AM options (but still of the Merson/Ginola class exciting but team effective) that would benefit our team especially in this world cup year.

Omar/Wijnaldum

Agree5 Disagree5

What has happened to Gary Gardner can't make the bench for the cup match even. PL doing a good job but KEA before Gardner is not right. is he injured?

Agree6 Disagree3

Glad to hear that Finch and Azza are reporting it, and not KingVilla. What is Bannan valued at?3m, and a fee agreed with Cardiff was 8m. So the deal, if it goes through, will be 5m+Bannan

Agree6 Disagree1

Gardener picked up back injury last game he played for us

Agree4 Disagree2

Yes but you are forgetting Blackpool owe Liverpool 4 mill on any sales and Liverpool owe us 5 mill for downing.

So thigh only cost 1 mill plus the midget {Ed003's Note - Not sure your figures are correct but bear in mind any 'fees' B'pool would have to pay for loans from you would help the deal as this would lower what has to be forwarded for his % sell on whilst B'pool would be getting a much needed player on board,last I was told Bannan was off to Celtic though}

Agree2 Disagree1

3 million for bannan! The deal with Blackburn before it broke down was 750 000 {Ed003's Note - The fee agreed with Cardiff was £8m and big add ons btw.}

Agree5 Disagree2

Bannan valued at 3 million?
Are we talking lira?
Surely not British Sterling?

Agree4 Disagree1

No chance of Ince. I told you a few weeks ago that our budget only had 1 million left. since then we have loaned out Bent for 2 million so that leaves 3 million, this will be kept back for the Jan transfer window as Lambert remembers last Jan we desperately needed help but Uncle Randy only rubber stamped Stephen Hawkins (loan) AKA glass ankles, and our Silla.
Before you all go on about Lambert not willing to pay big for fees or wages just think maybe he doesn't have the money? we were first in for
Coutinho at 8.5m, Uncle said no.
Belhanda at 8m, Uncle said no.
boudebouze at 6.5m, Uncle said no.
Bentekes best mate Chadli at 7.5m, Uncle said no.
Kiyotakes buy out clause at 7.5m, Uncle said no.
its not rocket science is it!
all the above players are low risk as in they could easily be worth more in the future and are the right age. Lamberts scouts or contacts have been doing their job, its just Uncle Randy whos not. clubs are already looking for the next Benteke, how long before they wise up and realise who our contacts are start buying the the real gems we are unearthing and not following through on?
Lambert knows the score with Villa, my plea to you Uncle Randy is give him the Benteke fee for 10 more players, that's 80 million or ten 8 million pound players, together with the 15 grand a week he signed for, so that's 150k a week, and Lambert will win you the league.
if 80 million is too much for you invest in our club then please sell up because we finally have a manager and scouting network to make it.

Agree5 Disagree9

I like Ince. Quick, direct, scores goals and is a real threat (albeit only tested at Championship level thus far). He reminds me a lot of Ashley Young when at Watford and I would expect him to make the step up to the Prem without much hassle.

Not too sure I see him playin in the AM role though which some have suggested above. He is best as a winger and should be deployed as one.

He would add something extra to the team (better delivery from wide positions) and I would have him in the squad over Albrighton. Not sure he would be a starter every game (at the expense of who?) but has the pace and directness to fit into our counter attacking play.

If Bannan is part of any deal then even better!

However, I have seen some reports that have distanced us from this transfer so will be interesting to see how this materialises over the next few days.

Agree8 Disagree2

Dont know where you get £1m left from. We have an annual budget of £20m to spend on players, last season lambert spent £23m in the summer so randy only gave him £2m in january, which is exactly why we got sylla and not sissoko. The reason 'uncle says no' to a lot of these deals is because we are still trying to balance our books so he has to be a bit strict with the budget. We have spent £13.5m this transfer window, that leaves £6.5m for any transfers for this summer and like you say the £2m from bent plus anything we do get for the bomb squad will be used in jan. that's why he said no to all those players! I really don't know why you mention coutinho. This was last january when we'd already spent over budget so why would he then give us £10m for his fee and wages?

Either way your entire argument is flawed, you can't state we have '£1m left of the budget' then question why we haven't signed players for £7/8m.

Also you can't be angry and randy lerner for not wanting to ruin the club for the sake of big money signings. Its because we spent so much on players and wages under other managers that we are in this mess. let's just be thankful he is still giving us £20m every year and appreciate the job lambert is doing on a 'shoe string' budget!

Agree5 Disagree3

The reason I mentioned Coutinho was because in Jan we were facing a real relegation battle and everyone was saying Uncle Randy will invest.
we have actually spent 11.5m this summer and have received 2.5m for Makoun, minus 2m for Bent.7m so far, so by your account we still have 13m left.
don't give me bull about saving our club and previous overspends, its not our fault its his. says it all when we spend surplus of 7m on dodgy managers yet can't compete with the likes of Swansea on transfers. talking about budgets wheres the record breaking Sky money gone?

Agree5 Disagree1

Your figures are as random as anything mate. Must be pulling these out of a hat. Either way you are missing the point, we have spent season after season spending masses of money on transfer fees and wages, and if we were to carry on spending £30/40m a season like you want us to, we'd soon have no money left and end up in the same position as blues. If that's what you want fine, but if not then why not be patient and appreciate what we are doing with little money.

Randy has realised that we have just as much chance of staying in the prem buying players for £3m as we do spending £20m+ on players like bent. What would you rather? One good player for a massive amount of money, and no real improvement, or an entire squad revamp full of cheap young players who will either be villa legends in years to come or will get us £15-25m in transfer fees? There's only 2/3 teams in the prem that have bought more players than us and you're still moaning that randy lerner (who has put more into a team below the top 10 than any other chairman has in the last 3 years) isn't spending enough money? Get real mate! The days of europe and full stadiums are no more at the moment, we make way less than we did 2/3 years ago so why should randy keep giving us silly money?

Agree2 Disagree3

I hope your right mate, and no I don't won't us to end up like Blues or QPR or worst still Portsmouth. I just think we have been linked with some real young European talent who see us as a place they will get oppurtunities to play and not to just sit on the bench i. e Benteke vs Lukaku. also these links ain't for 20 or 30 mil prices but for 6-7 mil who could turn into 20-30 mil players.
we all want the best for Villa as does Lambert and Uncle Randy. But I got a gutt fealing vultures are circling and Lambert will be on the wishlist of some of europes clubs, this includes his scouting network and German connections (pre Lambert we used an I. T. company to identify our next manager and who did they choose? Mc. Leish) it could be a calculated gamble because were not talking about 28 year old plus players on silly wages and high transfer fees who are household names who come to Villa and suddenly loose the will to play or think they've already achieved or overpriced young british talent. the next Welsh kid to play 2 decent games will automatically be labelled the next Bale and his club will won't silly money. look at Hughes, Derby won't more than 6mil for him, then there's Ince who some feel we should buy for 8mil. Lambert is not a chequebook manager and we ain't a 20,000 fans a game club. a calculated gamble now or risk losing our manager next season.

Agree3 Disagree1

Very well put an written to the poster above.

Finch

Agree2 Disagree1

I take your point, but I think from a business point of view that would seem too much. I wouldn't worry about lambert, he is setting up a team that will win things in the future, do you think he would bring in a full squad of players then turn his back on it before the rewards have came? You can just tell he's the sort of bloke that will stay with what he's made and get the glory that will eventually come with it. Also lambert is under contract, so should anybody say they want him lerner can simply say 'buggar off' and improve his contract (something I am expecting him to do soon enough anyway, not that its about the money for lambert).

I think we just have to be patient at the end of the day mate, and face the fact we are only going to spend so much a season. We've improved the squad this summer and somebody may still come in, then next summer we have another £20m to spend on players, and i'm fairly sure we won't see 6/7 players come in because we shouldn't need that many. we will only need 3/4 more so we can spend a bit more. Its a long winded process but if we wait, we can be at our best for a long long time, not just 3 seasons like under MON just to end up in this mess again.

Some reports than we have opened talks to sign tom ince. Everton also rumoured to be interested. Unclear how true at the moment and I personally doubt we'd pay the askinh price but in my opinion would be a good addition, could play behind benteke or on the wing and then weimann or tonev could slot in behind benteke (both capable of playing that roll).

Believable6 Unbelievable2

We could give them bannan and some other wantaways.

Agree4 Disagree1

Simple solution, straight swap, ince for weimann lol

Agree0 Disagree10

And keep bannan and play ireland in the a/m role?

Agree2 Disagree6

Why would you get rid of weiman
Hes class
Thickle villa fans

Agree5 Disagree1

Define class please mate

Agree3 Disagree1

Class = someone who scores goal when played up front!

Agree3 Disagree1

Saw his goal last night! Quality!

Agree1 Disagree0

Said this before but I think weimann should play in behind the striker. Gabby is capable of dropping back as a right midfield as he's strong and can win the ball back, but also has the pace to keep up with the attacking play and as we saw last night he can cross too. Weimann is never a winger, he can't cross! But he can put some nice passes in behind the defence and can certainly shoot. All we need then is another right midfield (like albrighton but better) and we can play 4-4-1-1. We get tore up down the right hand side because weimann isn't quick enough to be goal side when defending and the 3 midfielders are usually too central.

Agree1 Disagree2

Could we be talking about Gabby as playing a similar role to Bale? He has pace to go past defenders and can shoot but he isn't really a through ball player. He does appear to be playing the Bale role already this season. Before someone jumps up and says "dont be silly" look at Gabby, he has some desire back and looks fitter than he has for a couple of season.

Aston villa being looked at along with everton and newcastle by shake mansours cousin. Its early stages but they have been in contact with rl who has told them he would sell for 110 million. This deal would be done in time for the January window where pl would be give major funds to snap up the best youth across the world. They like pl ideas and would stick to that plan and always snap up best young players around along with 1 big signing per window. They then see constant high level success for villa for cheeper fees than buying big name players staying in the ffp easier and would sell players around 28 years of age for big fees to bring money in and fund more youth. Villa there preferd club to buy but its very early and may come to nothing as did old rumors of takeovers.

Believable2 Unbelievable16

Its Elsie Getsitright again.
Who is your ghost writer?
Even Barbara Cartland couldn't come up with these plots.
I will buy the first copy of the book.

Agree6 Disagree1

King Villa. direct question to you. where do you actually get this info from? There is no evidence to support any of this as well as all the ridiculous other rumours you come up with unless they have already been posted or from the media. As much as you make me chuckle with your far fetched information, I have decided that you must be on here just to wind everyone up. dare I say you are a bluenose with nothing better to do?

Agree5 Disagree1

Load of rubbish, and I wouldn't want our club to become another Man City.

My sources have told me that chelsea came in on Saturday with a cheeky offer of lukaku and 10 million for benteke. This was rejected out of hand by villa but chelsea set to come back in on monday with a 35 million straight cash bid. This offer will be accepted by randy lerner and 20 million give to pl which will be spent on troy deeney and jermaine defoe for a combination fee of 15 mil. Fiscer will arrive monday as well.

Believable0 Unbelievable16

Kingvilla, you are getting more and more desperate. A) mourinho would rather have lukaku than benteke, and he clearly stated 7 days ago he isn't interested in benteke and B) defoe and deeney for a combined £15m? Defoe is worth £5/6m top end, and deeney is worth no more than £2.5m. Also there is no way on earth you could accurately predict the money we get and who we sell to, as well as how much will be given to lambert and the exact players and transfer fees we are buying with the money! Are you actually in a fantasy land? Do you just make up stuff out of boredem? Seriously you have speculated about 20/25 different things on here and the only one that was even remotely true had already been posted and replied to by 2/3 people so you just jumped on the bandwagon. Its actually quite a laugh but please just give up now.

Porto centre back abdoulaye ba is closing in on a move to villa for 3 million euros. Deal will be done by saturday. That then will leave lambert to fully focus on the fiscer deal to tie up on monday for around 8 -10 million.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Seen this in the papers. Would be a good signing as we need a solid CB.
