Bafetimbi Gomis, Stefan Kiessling, Christian Benteke, Jozy Altidore, Mike Hanke all names being talked about

Believable2 Unbelievable5

I dont think Henke will be writing up reports that quickly his remit will be to scout players who are unhappy, clubs are skint is on low wages or contracts are ending next summer.

Agree1 Disagree1

Saw Hanke score a good header last weekend wouldnt mind him.

a website has linked Aston Villa to Yoan Gouffran, a striker/winger who plays for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. The 26-year-old scored 14 goals last season in a league that sees far less scoring than the Premiership. In the team's three league matches this season, Gouffran has already scored once, and has been an active part of the un-beaten Bordeaux attack.

a website report Villa have made a approach to Wolves for Kevin Doyle

Yannick Sagbo from Monaco. Is also linked

Villa interested in Genk’s young forward Christian Benteke. Well we have a link today from a Belgian site RTBF. In this they claim both us and Fulham are after him.

Lambert also aiming to sell Hutton to Stoke and Warnock to Blackburn with Ollson on his way to Villa

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Most of what you say has been talked about for weeks on this forum. Lol

Sagbo is a new rumour tho

Agree1 Disagree0

Doesnt sagbo play for evian

Rumour has it after yet another wonder goal on Friday from Lewis mcgugan we have bid 3million but as forest don't need the money will not even consider unless a bid was more in the 5 million region. Newcastle everton Southampton reading and fulham all interested but I think forest will not budge as they eye a promotion push this year.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Have also Been told this 3 mill but forest want silly money

Agree1 Disagree1

Do you no what after all is said and done I think rl should sell the club to someone who is willing to invest in what is a big club it's about time we had some serious money to do some damage in the prem.

Agree2 Disagree2

If it's so easy to find a billionaire to spend (waste) his own money on a football club then you should go find one! We should be very carefull about wanting a new owner, we only have to look at Portsmouth an Liverpool to see it can go so wrong! Even the galzers at united have put the club in danger, if united fail to get CL in only 1 season then they'll be in deep sh*t, which could easily happen to AV if we start thinking there better owners out here

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree with you about clubs in trouble because chairman ruined clubs. But i paid well earnt money on Saturday to watch the reserves who just aint good enough

I think that we desperately need to buy two highly rated attacking midfielders within the next week.

People are crying out for Owen, Carroll, Defoe etc etc, but what the use if you cant get them the ball??!!

Must find our own Cabaye/Arteta type and have them pulling the strings in the midfield.

This will (hopefully) allow NZogbia to start running at guys on the flank and perhaps Curruthers needs to be blooded as im more than confident he is up for the challenge.

Bannan/Delph/Delfouneso should all be transfer listed as none of them are up to scratch. Ofcourse i am also including Hutton/Warnock/Dunne in this......they need to go.

With the funds raised from these sales im sure we could buy in two quality attacking options that have diverse passing games and are not afraid to take a pop at goal from distance.

This will only enhance Albrighton/NZogbia/Ireland/Bent and what they bring to the table.

Midfield is gutless apart from El Ahmadi at present.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

What are you talking about getting rid of delph bannan and delfonso there some of are best talents

Agree3 Disagree5

I feel we need a gutsy, ball winning midfielder to allow el ahmadi to move up. Against Everton he showed a lot of technique but not that decisive playmaker we need, hopefully Ireland will step up to the plate to provide there.
But what we need is that anchor man, someone like obi mikel.

Agree4 Disagree3

Nzogbia and ireland should go too

Agree2 Disagree7

We have no money but because we are desparate we will throw the little good money after really bad players in a panic measure that will only manifest it's true consequences when we are relegated in April. Not May, as we will be down by Easter.

Agree2 Disagree4

We are real desperate ince sounds good need to break bank on 2 quality players though maybe give fulham what they want for dempsey looks like certain players dont care feel sorry for lambert he is quality manager

Agree2 Disagree1

Delph is complete joke we nee a c.adam with an ince defoe up front would be great if we dont spend simple were going down only lambert can save us paying price for appointing mcleish we begged the club not too now look what were left with a squad that dosen't care

Agree3 Disagree2

Bannan and Delfouneso were major liabilities on the weekend. Bannan tends to look to thread the needle with 50 meter passes and seems incapable of making the easy ones.

Tell me where Delph and Bannan fit in to the midfield? Neither should make the starting 11 over Ireland, Albrighton and Gardner when fit and Curruthers......We already have the next batch of talented youngsters waiting.

We over hype our youngsters when we should sell a few off here and there keeping only the difference makers. I consider Gardner, Wiemann, Curruthers, Grealish, Burke and Daniel Johnson as difference makers.....perhaps Baker and Clark, but seriously the rest should be sold for quality

Agree4 Disagree2

To the person who says Delph, Bannan and Del boy are best talents.... The only one i would keep would be Delph as he like to get stuck in and can pass a ball with a little bit of intelligence. Bannan is far too light weight and didnt use the ball well in saturday. but you would know that right as you were at the game? and as for Del boy well he is no where near premier league standard let alone quality! again if you were there saturday you would know this!!

Agree4 Disagree1

Delph and Bannan maybe ........ Delfonso a TALENT ? wake up and smell the coffee ! No bottle,no positional sense, takes to long to get a shot in .

Agree3 Disagree0

Bannan did give the ball away quite a few times against everton but that's only because he was looking to make the killer pass unlike some who weren't looking to create anythin, an as far as him being light weight, I thought he was 1 of few players who actually tried breaking up the attacks, closing down an making interceptions an should not have been taken off. Ohh an the best players in the world are 'light weight' so your way of thinking is in the past!

I would love to see ince from blackpool we need wingers in my opinion too, was no width with the ball on Saturday

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Totally agree, Tom ince is quality

Agree3 Disagree1

Ince is a good player an will be a terrific player in 2years an he could have been signed for £3m-£4m a month ago but now blackpool will want £7m-£8m all because we were slow off mark, an at 7m I don't see PL showing any interest

Talk that Lambert has identified his 4 targets that are all expected to link up this week...

Martin Olsson
Rodney Strasser
Tom Huddlestone (loan)
Andy Carrol (loan)

Apparently Villa also passed on the chance to sign striker Nando Rafael who was offered before he joined Fortuna Dusseldorf.

to be honest we actualy dont have a bad squad we just need to work in some places of the team.

To start of we need a lb preferably olson or the danish lad poulsen.if we can't get them i'd like to see enda stevens be given a chance. Im from ireland and I liked to watch shamerock rovers play and was very impressed with how he played.

We badly need a decent winger as albrighton has little expierience and n'zogbia hasn't been good enough.i've,heard a few rumours of downing coming back which even after the way he us I would still be happy.Would also like j.cole or malouda.

And finally the posistion of striker. In my opinion we need a big strong forward with good feet and to be able link up with bent.I'd love to see someone like drogba.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I agree with getting olsson, and i've also heard the downing rumour. Liverpool willing to sell, but want 12m. We're only willing to pay 8. Cole and Malouda, what would their wages be?

Agree1 Disagree1

Poulson signed for sampdoria a couple days ago an drogba signed for a club in china a month back on a contract worth £8million a year so there not happening!

An malouda? Didn't he go back to France?

Agree1 Disagree0

Whats happened to villa geting robbie keane we need him he takes shots from outside the box and with bent hed be perfect

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Personally I would take a punt on Rhodes and after the weekends performance Tom Ince who had the game of a lifetime on Saturday and if not break the bank to get in Andy Carrol who is more skilled with the ball at his feet than he gets credit for.

Agree4 Disagree0

Another hasbin being linked, just like Defoe/Jones/Doyle..even going back for Downing would be a mistake and send the wrong message to up n coming youngsters regarding loyalty. We might as well pay Heskey £50k p/w as he gets more involved than Bent...
