Garde wants his old team of coaches but they are under contract elsewhere and it will take money to get them out.
Looks like we will go for Moyes, not a bad thing, and if that fails then the bully Pearson must be the next in line. Ooh not sure.

I seriously hope not

I hope so! Moyes, Pearson, Rodgers, laudrup in that order would be my preference if garde don't sign.

heard DM has ruled himself out and if garde don't get the back room staff he wants not sure he will come either can see us ending up with a pearson or a dyche ffs we are in the s*** real deep.

Remi garde drifting in the betting market? Maybe he don't agree on something in lerners contract? I'm warming to the Pearson idea? Thoughts?

Pearson? Seriously?! Are you an ostrich?! I certainly hope not!

Not Pearson Dan.

Would prefer Moyes or Laudrup to be honest mate, whoever takes the job will not get every Villa fan wetting themselves, we all have our favourites.
As long as Villa benefit from whoever I will be a happy man.

For those who thought it couldn't get any worse.
1.30pm SKY Sports News: Gus Poyet is on the shortlist for vacant Villa manager's job.
He might not get the job but for Villa to be even considering him is beyond belief. Next it will be Advocaat!

Calm down everybody, nearly every manager out there is going to be mentioned for the Villa job.
It was the same with players, journalism and speculation will always take a hold in situations like this.

Those who are worried about Remi Garde taking the hot seat shouldn't be. I've heard that Villa are going to be talking to lots of managers at first then creating a shortlist of managers who have accepted the job.

I don't see why people are so scared of Remi Garde- he may not be proven in the PL but he did really well at a club with low funds and a lot of youth- ring any bells?

I still would prefer Moyes as he's proven and experienced in the PL. We've already tried an inexperienced manager and look how that turned out.

{Ed002's Note - Garde is a really good guy.}

Whilst there is a danger that Garde could be considered on-dimensional, i. e. has only managed one club, his record at Lyon was impressive. Out of 117 games in 3 seasons, he had a 51.2% win-rate, which is better than any Villa manager has ever achieved. If you combine the wins and draws, you get a 73.5% hit rate. Add to that one Coupe De France and one Trophee Des Champions, and you have a fairly high achiever.

I agree that he's a good manager but he doesn't have any experience in the PL, especially in the relegation battle.

There is a fine line between French Football and English Football.

Can't disagree with that - they've been in the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and won the World Cup in the last 20 years, as well as winning the European Championship twice.

Whiles they have a good international record, Ligue 1 is much, much worse that PL. If you put Villa in Ligue 1 we would be 4,5,6 maybe higher.

dosent have prem experience as a manager but does have as a player and as it's been said done very well with very little and has got the best out of the younger up and coming players very good tactically just might be the one these young players need but I guess any new manager is going to find it hard to turn things around even DM will.
Im just hoping some of these names on the list are just paper talk well we will have to wait and see and whoever it is get behind them and give them full support!
