we go again!
lamberts back and so am I.
update on what's been happening so far, Lambert handed in his resignation after the Spurs game, he even said his goodbyes to the players. this was turned down by Faulkner who then travelled together to meet Lerner. Faulkner and Lerner convinced Lambert to stay with some restrictions lifted. he can pick two new coaches and has a bigger summer transfer budget than last year and can bring into the fold the bomb squad. Lambert has promised to improve on the final league position and hopes this will bode well for him if and when a new buyer arrives. expect four quality signings from Europe this summer as Lamberts shopping list has been handed in. don't listen to all the false rumours that we can't afford to pay even our own academy players etc its just that lambert doesn't think they're worth 35000 a week and that also goes for other clubs released players asking upwards of 70,000 a week.
finally there is no offer on the table for a takeover at the moment as the initial buyers have walked, in fact that was before Lerners statement and no one else as of yet has shown any interest.

Believable7 Unbelievable37

You tell a good story lol

Agree18 Disagree6

I take it you were sitting round the table with them then.
This kind of statement is just what gets up most peoples back.
Total fabrication.

Agree20 Disagree6

Why oh why doesn't Lambert just walk. Nobody wants him, he's useless, can't manage a football team to save his life and has taken Villa right down into the gutter, yet still he remains at Villa Park, what is going on! I am seriously worried for Villa now, I can just see it, no new owner, no money, no quality players, another season fighting relegation I am seriously losing the will to live. Why doesn't he go and manage Celtic, that would be perfect for him, I for one can never understand a word he says anyway, probably a good job really, I would be tearing my hair out no doubt! Somebody buy us please and send Lambert packing!

Agree16 Disagree20

Because Celtic play a better brand of football than PL can relate too, so maybe Celtic would see it as a step in the wrong direction.

Agree8 Disagree13

£25,000 a week is probably why he doesn't walk, no seriously according to Grealish he said his goodbyes after the Spurs game. Let's hope if there is no takeover then the promises of financial backing made in the New York meeting are upheld. Those who mock all I can say is remember Darren Bent? Lerner is still richer than most premier league owners and is entitled to do a u-turn.

Agree12 Disagree9

Well I for one wouldn't want Lerner to do a u-turn. He isn't interested in Villa and I don't think he ever has been really, and that has been proved by his constant absence. He isn't passionate about the club, or football for that matter, he isn't bothered where we are in the Premiership, just as long as we survive then he will be happy because that's all he needs. We will never improve, and never make a challenge for Europe while we are in his hands. I have never known a more unenthusiastic owner in all my life. The restrictions he has placed on the club have been absolutely ridiculous and he constantly leaves us in the dark about what is happening. Find a new owner Randy and take that joke of a manager with you!

Agree15 Disagree5

The truth of the matter is no one knows what's going on behind the scenes at villa, all we can do is be patient, you say lambert may not be the right man for the job but through this unstable time it's better to have him than no one at all

Agree19 Disagree3

The technical facts are these; Any large company (which is anything over £50m), have to publicly confirm/deny sale rumours as part of their own sale process. Once posted, expressions of interest are invited. I understand from from former colleagues connected to ML BoA, that FIVE such EOI's have been received and are being evaluated. 3 American, 1 Russian and 1 UAE. This evaluation takes at least two weeks so don't expect anything before June 10th ish. But the reality is thus; a £200m business with £117m income and assets worth £65m. doesn't take a genius to work out that a PL club can make money but only if successful. Catch-22 really. A case of "invest to succeed", something Mr Lerner sadly failed to grasp!

Agree14 Disagree4

Hope you are right

Agree3 Disagree1

Villa don't have to publicly deny or confirm anything as they don't have shareholders so to say, also Chelsea was sold in seven days and Fulham in less so I don't know we're you got the two weeks from.

Agree5 Disagree10

Re'sone major area the club are failing thatsgardless of all the mush we are talking about. us the loyal supporters that have to balance ever more home bills etc while officialson huge salaries (paid by us) barely utter a word to the clubs most valuable asset. the FANS, WE have the right to know all that's going on. to treat the people in this off hand manner is totally unacceptable, iv'e tried to put this point to the club but don't have any response at all it's just not good enough!

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said. WE are the club

Lerner is expected to give Lambert £10-£15 million to spend during the transfer window if a new owner hasn't taken over during the first couple of weeks. Lerner though wants some of this money to be generated through sales of players. The players who will be sold will either be our best players or the players that weren't used by Lambert last season. Lambert wants to sign Lescott on a free and has been heavily linked with Hernandez, Holtby, Klassen and Radosevic.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

I think they are saying the bomb squad has been diffused so we can ask for more money when we sell them.

paul lambert has been told he has to make peace with darren bent because there's no transfer funds for him an will have to rely on frees

Believable7 Unbelievable7

If that's the case then there's no point in him being manager if someone else is picking the team.

Circulating this morning Daniel Crowley first VILLA SIGNING! Although Wenger insists on first refusal on Benteke should we decide to sell. Lambert has also inquired about Sanogo on loan.

Also heard rehashed Jordie Classie again on our radar as fan support for Hiyatoke has fallen

Believable2 Unbelievable17

Lol Crowley only left villa last summer and he's been superb for their youth team since.
He's not coming back to villa.

Agree8 Disagree4

A true rumour for u boys villa wnt be signing any names that u would of heard of got that by sum1 in the no

Agree4 Disagree5

Clasie would be a great signing for Villa, but then transfer funds are needed and the way to get that now is if some of the players were sold.

Baker, Guzan, Clark, Bowery, El Ahmadi and Bacuna are in my mind worth at least £20 million.

I think that it will be wonderful if Barry and Lescott and Kalas (loan), are brought to Villa too.

And my favourite striker that I have seen the past two years is Finnbogason, who I believe can be bought for £10-12 million. He is a better option than Hernández and Vossen, I think.

Agree2 Disagree9

Baker, Guzan, Clark, Bowery, El Ahmadi and Bacuna £20 Million dream on. only Guzan worth about 3to4Million the rest you could not give away

Agree11 Disagree5

Totally agree villajk. as for the crowley rumour, that's just trash! there was a massive tribunal last season when they poached him off us! it's similar to saying chelsea are going to get mata! ridiculous! a quality young forward making rapid progress in belgium is siebe schrijvers, definitely one for the future!

Agree5 Disagree1

Schrijvers is 17 years old for Gods sake. What earthly use would he be to us at the moment? The very limited funds that we apparantly have available need to be spent on EXPERIENCED players if we are to keep our heads above water not young kids who may come good in 5 or 6 years time.
Clarrie blue.

Agree2 Disagree1

Just remember just because someone is good on your fifa career mode doesn't make him a real life wizard

Agree3 Disagree3

Calm down there clarrie jeez! did I say anything about buying him? simply said one for the future.

Agree1 Disagree2

If u check around other rumour sites you will notice every club linked with shrivjers but most of these posts are from 12 year old plums who got nothing better to do than talk rubbish
In my opinion we probably won't have any funds until we get a new owner so therefore anyone we sign will be on a free or from sales.
Was excited by the Hernandez rumours would love this to be true but unfortunately we aren't a big club currently so maybe aiming a bit high till we get a cash injection BRING BACK THE HESK!!

Arsenal approached to loan with a view to resign our former youth player Daniel Crowley, he will be guaranteed first squad inclusion hopefully first 11.

This brings back a truly naturally gifted player said to be the best ever seen at bodymoore

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Aston villa will not be making a move on any players we have heard of an it will again be like last year as nobody wants to buy aston villa an lerner has give up with it

My cousin does villa parks plumbing and he said he was told to leave an office suddenly! He asked why but a villa park official would not say! He kept on to him and eventually while just leaving he said mr l Ellison sometime soon will be arriving and they need the office in order! Do I believe or not time will tell!

Believable4 Unbelievable18

Is this what it's come to?

Agree13 Disagree2

Haha! Oh my god
