Faulkner will speak to McCarthy again re: MM taking up the Director of Football post, overseeing all footballing matters including transfers but not coaching. Villa seek to appoint Gus Poyet as Coach/manager. This follows OGS rejecting the job

Believable3 Unbelievable14

McCarthy is another failed prem. manager, and would raise the same hostile reaction by the fans as McLiesh did when appointed. Wait and see, it might be right under our noses but it may also make one respond with "never saw that coming!"

Agree10 Disagree1

Villa has already said they're not having a director of football so god knows where you get your info from

Agree7 Disagree1

Paul Faulkner has already said we dont want a director of football and after mcleish do you really think they will hire a manager with a bad record in the prem.

Agree5 Disagree1

Dont people read the OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENTS cause if they did they wouldn't be talking bout Mick McCarthy who Villa have already said they have no interest in and they've said there looking for a manager only no director of football

Agree8 Disagree2

Big mick is a joke . why have an other has been , it will never happen.

as i previously stated on here, poyet will be named new villa boss on friday, its a good appointment, ogs wont be coming to villa park, maybe he realises the premier league is a totally different kettle of fish as a manager than a player,he was a great player in his day but could he hack it as a manager in the big league,i doubt it,anyhow i think poyet will be a good appointment.BIIG DAVE

Believable8 Unbelievable7

We need to take a risk would av loved ogs but would snap ur hand off for poyet proven player and molde are just like a championship team anyway so I'm team poyet lambert would be ok but Norwich will be crap next year either way every team does well first season but cannon fodder the year after given wigans status ... Stayed up but always on the brink that's why I don't want Martinez . It's a no brained really ain't it poyet hopefully ;)

Agree2 Disagree2

So you think Norwich will be crap next season do you,? well a team who finishes in the position you did usually get relegated the following season or scrapes it on Goal difference, ask wolves, we will be top half next season.

Agree1 Disagree4

I'd love it if Poyet turns you down. Face facts, Villa are a poor team. Stop slagging off other teams and accept that you have major issues at your club.

Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pulling out of the frame for the Villa job. Randy Lerner is set appoint the manager tomorrow. Randy has interviewed all of his three man shortlist, which is rumoured to have Paul Lambert, Steve Bruce & Gus Poyet.

Believable1 Unbelievable13

This is total rubbish!

Agree4 Disagree1

It's obvious that you people didn't see the Sly s n last night, but incase you have neither satalite or brain, Sly say AV have not I repeat Have not Approached Norwich about the availability of Paul Lambert, Paul Lambert himself said he was busy rebuilding Norwich for next season, What gives you the right to try and take a better manager from a better club you only stayed up with luck not skill, the best thing you can hope for is an out of work or lower league manager to come into a deadend club like yours, OGS was being kind and saying it was family reasons why he don't want the job, Face it you will be on the down hill slide next season aswell

Agree1 Disagree7

Blue nose tos-er. What you going to do when Hughton signs for Baggies? They are a prem. club. Where are you? Oh yes the chumpionship!

Agree6 Disagree1

Ha ha ha these carrot crunchers make you laugh, little old norwich city bigger than the villa dream on you had a good season but you will struggle next term as teams will know now to play you like man city did.

Agree5 Disagree1

Listen Villa may have gone through a bad patch of football but Villa are a bigger club than Norwich could ever dream of being you havent achieved anything in comparision so dont talk as if Norwich is bigger than us off just coming out the championship and having a lucky season you'll be relegated within a year or two where as Villa wont and for one I'd rather Gus Poyet Than Lambert to be Villa's manager

Agree5 Disagree1

Poyet, you can have him, Brighton fans are looking forward to his departure, look at the money he spent on players who couldn't last the distance, only managed mid table finish, very quick burnout just the same way for Villa next season, No and I'm not a narrwich fan.

Agree0 Disagree1

Is this the same mighty norwich who got shown up by a cook in a half time interval for being s**t fans ,how did it go " where are you " should of said "who are you ".

Agree1 Disagree1

Typical responce from a thick Dummy Brummy, thats all you can think od to say shows the true mentallity of your fans, How many times during a match has silence fell on Villa park, well I can think of 1 straight away, Pilkingtons, 30yd free kick beat the s**t out of Given, How many season tickets do you hope to sell for next season? we have already sold out of 22000, the ground will be having an extra 1000 seats installed in the summer, that will give us 28000, yes you can boast a bigger Stadium, but you always have around 10.000 empty seats, we will build gradually, just like we always do, By the end of this season we will be debt free how about you. in your rented ground we own ours aswell as the ground around the stadium giving us the room to expand when needed, we can and will fill a 40.000 seater

Agree1 Disagree6

30 yards? mate, it was on the edge of the box, also known as 18 yards.

Agree2 Disagree0

VILLA PARK RENTED dont talk SH*T Everything at Villa is Villas the club have a personal loan from Lerner of 65m thats it!!!!!!!
Norwich have achieved nothing we boast 7 league titles numerous cups and oh yeah were 1 of only 5 english clubs to of won the European cup (Now called the champions league) will Norwich ever do this in their 28000 SOON TO BE DEBT FREE STADIUM (dont forget the debt free it will come in handy once Holt leaves as he has ambitions of achieving something before he retires and when Norwich then get relegated the debt free club will manage perfectly in the championship).

Agree2 Disagree1

Villa are a bigger club than Norwich, and no realistic Norwich fan would suggest otherwise. Likewise, MOST Villa fans would accept that the club is in trouble and that you could be at risk of going down next year. You may be a big club but so are Sheff Wed and Leeds and they went down. I hope it's a good game between us next year though
