We are currently pursuing Jordan lukaku brother of romelu (WBA) to bolster our lb options. Would probably join for 1m or less. I have also seen the lumu rumour he would be a great acquisition.

I don't believe whoever he supports he should be ashamed or brave enough to say who it is. I'm actually the one at the moment who is ashamed to admit who I support. Lets face it Villa are a laughing stock at present....& yes I am a Villa fan and have been for over 30 years.

Still think all we need is a strong ball winning midfielder, someone to sit in front of back 4 and offer support, every time a team break up our attack the middle of the park is empty for them to run into. Need someone like (hate to add) Joey Barton, or Schneiderlin of Southampton (he was everywhere last night break up play)

Not sure QPR would do us the favor of adding Barton....he is on loan from QPR don't forget and they won't want to do us any favors at all.

I agree, Schneiderlin stiffled Osman, Fellaini and Jelevic all yesterday, would be a great addition. More likely to happen in the summer to be honest, if STON go down.

Schneiderlin would never go to villa. It would be a sideways/ backwards step at the moment. I'm saying this as a villa fan

I like Barton as a player, he's an all round good player, he can pass, tackle, read the game but more importantly he's a strong charecter who doesn't bow to no one on an off the pitch, who's leadership on the pitch would make all the difference to us, but I can understand why he would not be welcome at villa park, so if not Barton then someone like him is a must!
Another reason why I don't think Barton will be a possible signing is because I get a strong feeling PL does not like strong charecter's or strong personalities in his squad which I think has been one of his biggest mistakes so far.

Hurd an Clark done the holding midfield role last season an even this season have done it at times, an they didn't solve that problem, quite honestly their are not good enough, we need players with aggression, who can tackle an pass, but more importantly we need someone with strong charecter who won't be intimidated by opposition players

If Dunn could get fit he would fit in in front of the back 4, a bit like McGrath did some years back. McGrath hardly trained as his knees were shot but he was able to play 90 minutes. At the time he was amazing and we need an amazing character to join together the see hildren on the pitch.
