Personally I view Dempsey more as attacking mid that has a good goal scoring record, so I'd have him replace Ireland and get Carroll in too

I really hope this is true because our squad as a whole is weak in comparison to a lot of clubs. I am hopeful for this season. A strong middle table finish with a good set of cup runs will do the club, players and fans the world of good. We need another striker, creative attacking midfielder in the shape of Dempsey (clearly not stating we would get him) and cover for central defence.
Have faith. No rumours is not always a bad thing.

I'm sick of fickle villa fan's the players we need more than anything Adam and jarvis Adam to support El ahmadi who looks a player and jarvis to give us some width we could also do with new cb and striker in Lambert i Trust tho its not gonna be a quick fix but we will have a go tho

Adam would spend more time serving suspensions than time on the pitch ....... wouldn't touch him with a bargepole . Besides that he lacks pace !

With 10 days to go I really did expect some concrete rumours after the West Ham game. Yes it would be nice bagging a big name especially up front but realistically it's gonna be the odd championship player and may be a couple of unknown names from the continent.
Not really bothered who ?, but I think we need to get our skates on pretty sharpish, there is a good feel factor back at VP and we need recruits in quick time so that they settle in ASAP.
We cannot afford the positive energy to fizzle out. Come on PL do not do a MON and wait for the 31st to get your buys in.

Ibrahima balde a ST who signed for a russian club a few weeks back so any talk of him joining villa is nonsense! An Michu was hardly an unknown, he did score 15 goals in a poor team in La Liga (R Vallacano) so every prem manager would have seen or knew who he was but my guess is, Swansea were quick to make a move for him
