If OGS was to be appointed as manager of aston villa expect the announcement as late as wednesday/thursday and expect some real development on monday/tuesday also he will bring Mark Dempsey and Richard Hartis as backroom staff and also said he would want to bring 21 Year Old Ex Man Utd Attacking Midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem.

Would much rather have Martinez than ogs. he's got experience managing in the prem, plays good football and has had to work on a small budget at Wigan. Ogs isn't established and has only had one season in management, could be a risk

Martinez has a 20% win ratio. Worse than Eck. I don't want a man who can only motivate players for 8 games end of. Ogs isnt proven but he didn't lose a home game and if memory serves me right they won every home game. Villa park needs to be a fortress again.

This might sound stupid, but I want Villa to take a risk. So many of our previous managers in the last 20 years have been very predictable. Most of them we just expected mid-table finishes with the exception of MON and Houllier (many will disagree with me on that one). If we went with Lambert or Martinez I would expect us to finish in the top half of the table around 8th. I want some unpredictability and OGS provides that. I would say the same with managers like Rijkaard. Villa being so predictable has made it very dull being a fan in recent years, but I believe OGS could change that, playing some nice football and bringing in some good signings in the process.

I disagree. Martinez is probably as risky as OGS. If Martinez gets his team playing solidly for the last third of the season what's been going wrong for the first two thirds? If he's such a great manager Wigan would perform with much greater consistency than they do. I'm sure I'm not the only way who smells a rat.

Would like OGS fed up of predictability

If Villa get Martinez the mediocore football will continue but hey he'll get the results in the last 2 months to stay up.
With Lambert i'd expect 10th finish same if we got Rodgers
But OGS/ Di Matteo are young hungry managers who play attacking football and with backing in the transfer market Villa could be 7-8th with decent cup runs.
